fuck, where to begin? im not even going to explain all of the shit ive done in the last 3 months. but i will talk about one of the things i did. i thought, about all kinds of shit. i had absolutely nothing to motivate me through basic.  i sat around and watched all these people who had left behind girlfriends, wives, children, and their whole families (for the ones fresh out of highschool and were on their own for the first time), and that was who they were all doing this shit for. what did i leave behind? nothing, nothing at all. all my family lived at least 3 hours away from me and i was lucky to call once a month, the friends i had had for years i barely talked to much less hung out with (hell some of them didnt even hang out with me before i left). now alot of that is partially my fault some of it not. i have of course been a hermit off and on for the last few years since my ex-fiance left me. so basically my departure affected noone, most of my friends have people to fill my place (the spot had already been filled for alot of them before i even left), the people i worked with carry on like i was never there, the females in my life have replaced me ( well i think they all replaced me with someone in some form or fashion long before i left). so, yeah, when i sat there and realized it was actually pretty goddamned depressing, probably the lowest ive ever felt in my life ( and trust me, that is saying ALOT). so... how the fuck did i get through it? what was my drive, the only thing i could muster to motivate myself to not give up? to prove mostly to myself, but also to everyone that ever thought i was below them, that ever thought i was a failure, to everyone who left me for someone better, to everyone who told me i was useless and worthless that i could for once finish something without quiting or failing. if youve ever doubted me or ever called me a piece of shit, you motivated me through the hardest thing ive ever done. everyone who didnt think it was important enough to hang out with me one last time before i left, you motivated me. you made me realize that i had nothing in my life, nothing to lose, and nothing to leave behind. to my friends that have actually stayed by my side, ill still keep in contact with you somehow, and i will definitely find the time to come and see you when i can, but the list has gotten incredibly short. but anyways all this shit made me realize that i have indeed made the right choice with my life. lets just hope i dont fuck it up like i have everything else up until this point.
