To clarify a very important detail for those of you who have purchased tickets for the ICED EARTH show at The Avalon, any tickets for the ICED EARTH show purchased through September 4 for the Avalon WILL BE HONORED at The Wilton Theatre, so spread the word to your friends. The promoter for the Los Angeles show has not changed.

ICED EARTH Los Angeles Show Moves to Bigger Venue

ICED EARTH LOS ANGELES SHOW MOVES TO BIGGER VENUE - ADDITIONAL VIP-PACKAGES AVAILABLE

ICED EARTH, whose new album "The Crucible Of Man - Something Wicked Part II" is released September 5 (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), September 8 (UK & Rest of Europe) and September 9 (USA & Rest of world) have announced that their LOS ANGELES show, originally booked at THE AVALON for October 24, 2008 has been moved to THE WILTERN THEATRE due to overwhelming demand. Tickets for the new location will go on sale September 6, 2008. Tickets purchased through September 4 for the Avalon venue will be honored at the Wiltern Theatre. The promoter has not changed for the Los Angeles show.

Due to additional backstage facilities, there will also be a limited number of additional "CHILD OF THE WICKED" VIP packages available at IcedEarth.com

New Song Samples Posted!

American Metal legends ICED EARTH have posted audio samples of their forthcoming album, "The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II) on their official MySpace page. The worldwide release starts September 5 in Germany and Austria (Europe and the UK on September 8, USA and Canada on September 9).

A true magnum opus and tracking in at over one hour, The Crucible of Man is a diverse, heavy, and shadowed soundscape the showcases the band at the absolute peak of it's powers in an illustrious career that has spanned over two decades. After fully absorbing, "The Crucible of Man," it would seem that the innumerable trials and tribulations mainman Jon Schaffer has undertook over the decades as an uncompromising and never-totally-satisfied songwriter/musician were part of an otherworldly grand design that gave Schaffer the beastly prowess he needed to tell a story of unprecedented originality in metal music. That story is of course the "Something Wicked Saga." While Schaffer hinted at what was to come on 1998's "Something Wicked This Way Comes" disc, it wasn't until 2007 that the stars aligned and the story could be revealed in detail with the release of "Framing Armageddon – Something Wicked Part I." And although "The Crucible of Man" is the hard-charging sonic conclusion of the "Something Wicked Saga," fans can expect the story to continue in other media such as print and possibly film in the future.

Just days after the release of their new album, ICED EARTH embark on a North American tour beginning on September 21 in Detroit and will take them to places as far away as New York, Florida, Southern California, Portland, and Toronto. Only a handful of the "Child of the Wicked" VIP ticket packages remain for the shows in Asheville, North Carolina (Orange Peel) on September 29, and Norfolk, Virginia (Norva) on October 15.
