Just emptying my mind... Let me pour my thoughts it into your brain
Current mood: brainstormy
Category: brainstormy Goals, Plans, Hopes

The public increasingly seems to think that free flow of information/media/ideas is a basic human right. The solution has to be a more communal approach to distribution. Some sort of global revamping of the whole system is necessary to stop people taking what does not digitally belong to them. The practical and logistical methods to make this happen are nightmarish and beyond myself to fathom, but a "master plan" is needed to pool this explosion of information. Although the system is adapting rapidly in tiny increments to meet people's wants, some overall guidance to this evolution would increase efficiency, reduce waste and speed up the entire process. The inevitable outcome of the information revolution is global equality of access to the available information. The fluctuations along the path to this goal will be wasteful and un-just.

If only somebody could accelerate evolution. Perhaps we must wait for sentient AI to drive us in the right direction.

Robota Drone

Robota = forced labour in Slavic

Drone =

1)stingless male bee in a colony of social bees (especially honeybees) whose sole function is to mate with the queen

2)monotone: an unchanging intonation

3)dawdler: someone who takes more time than necessary; someone who lags behind

4)make a monotonous low dull sound; "The harmonium was droning on"

5)an aircraft without a pilot that is operated by remote control

6)talk in a monotonous voice

7)a pipe of the bagpipe that is tuned to produce a single continuous tone

I'm a tiny soulless cog in a machine that I have no choice but to be a part of

- however, the possibility for happiness and lack of control/power are not mutually exclusive

... so I'll be that cog and enjoy turning for as long as possible

but the main reason for the name is I think it sounds cool :}

ignor this, just needed somewhere to save it...

I believe racism to be strongly connected to evolution. If you think about the way groups of chimps or monkeys occasionally strive out into another group's territory and basically wage war with them, then racism is surely an extension of this territorial behavior. The less related to someone we are, the less we want them to survive (Dawkins' selfish gene theory). As we strive for the same resources, our genes are more likely to survive if there are more resources for us. The best way to achieve this is to kill them. Racism is our innate instinctual reaction to achive this end. Thank god we have social impetus telling us it is wrong.

(ps. I in no way advocate racism, I just think I understand it)

A Brief Lesson in Etymology
Current mood: ambiguous
Category: ambiguous School, College, Greek

Word: Exaggerate is in actual fact derived from the Post neo Old English: Egg saturate.

History: When cakes were made back in the day, when folks were poor and couldn't even afford to purchase eggs from hens, people used to substitute other similar objects, such as golf balls, large marbles or oval stones.

At meal-time the mother served this 'cake' to her needy family, whereupon they would feign enjoyment as to not hurt her feelings.

"How delicious your cake is mother"
&
"With such meager ingredients you sure do whip up a mean cake mum"
&
"Mum does make exceedingly good apple pies"

To which the matriarch would reply:
"It's all the eggs, eggs make for a tastier cake, that they do, my dearests. I must have put in excess of 28 eggs in that tart alone!"

To which the cranky, curmudgeonly father figure would reply sarcastically:
"Now that's just EGG SATURATION"

And from that day on and forever more mothers across the land began denying 'exaggeration' as it became known...

...and it's all true, I wrote it myself
