Hello 2007

Hello friends and neighbors,

Well, we finally got through 2006, it was a good year with lots of progress and 2007 is looking like it's going to blow the lid off! We've achieved a lot over the last year and have fully come into our own. Two notable additions in band members started the year off. Larry Garvin has joined us on lead guitar. Originally from California, he is about the finest hillbilly jazz guitar player you'll ever want to see. Also joining us this past year is Andy Gibson. Andy originally hails from North Carolina and is one of the finest straight steel players in the country.

It has been wonderful to establish such good friends and fans over the last year. We regularly have followers from places such as Washington, New Hampshire, New York, Maryland, Colorado, California, Louisiana, Texas, Asia, Australia and Europe come to visit us, and we look forward to visiting you all in your home areas soon.

In the meantime, we still remain a staple in the lineup of house bands at Robert's Western World in downtown Nashville. Robert's has received some honors of its own this year, being voted the #1 nightclub in America by Esquire and People magazines. We are quite proud to be part of the tradition that keeps people from around the world coming back to Nashville for REAL country music.

Perhaps the biggest thrill this year was we made an appearance on the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree. On October 28th, we appeared as the guests of our friend from Texas, Rounder Recording artist, James Hand. You can listen to that broadcast by going to this address: http://etrecordshop.com/mj.htm and scrolling down to the broadcast #3116. As real country fans know, this is a big honor, and can only be "topped" by an Opry appearance, and we hope to achieve that in the upcoming year. James has become a good friend of ours, and he is a heck of an entertainer. On his last tour, he stopped in Nashville and made a special appearance with us down at Robert's and had two Texas Troubadours (Pete Mitchell and Ronnie Dale) in tow. We had a fantastic night making some good country music with good friends.

As we enter the new year, things have started off with a real bang! Just last night we were honored with a visit from Texas Troubadour, and Grand Ole Opry member Jack Greene. He joined us on stage for a few numbers and we couldn't have been prouder...we look forward to spending more time with this country music legend in the future.

Finally, to answer the two most common questions we get, "Do you have a CD?" and "When are you going to tour?" Well the answer to both is very soon....We had hoped to have a CD completed by now, but various setbacks have slowed production. We have some very exciting things in the works as far as the CD goes, which could really crack that glass ceiling for us. Current plan is that we will have one available by spring. As for touring, well, we have to have a CD in hand before we can hit the road hard and heavy. We have done some things within a few hours drive of Nashville, but once the CD is done, look out! We'll be heading your way! Thanks again friends for your support, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes from your pals,

Ike Jonson and the Roadhouse Rangers

Career Update

Hello friends and neighbors,

I realized that it had been quite some time since I had posted any updates, so I thought I would offer a brief one. Things continue to progress well here in Nashville. My band has been has been together for nearly a year, and we have been playing regular gigs, including being one of the house bands at the legendary "Robert's Western World" since last July. We have had some personnel changes over the months, and we now sound better than ever. This year promises to be an exciting one, we will be hitting the road to an extent; and we are preparing to enter the studio to cut an album which has long been awaited.

I also want to take a moment to thank all of our many fans from around the country, and the world. Your support and appreciation is truly an inspiration to us as we continue to bring the finest Hillbilly/Country music in the best way we know how.

Thanks to all,

Ike Jonson and all of the Roadhouse Rangers

Show biz update
Current mood: accomplished

Hello friends and neighbors,

Things are going well here in Nashville. Myself along with my band the Roadhouse Rangers are taking lower Broadway by storm and will continue to do so. We had highly successful appearances on the 19th and 23rd at Roberts Western World, and the 23rd at Layla's Bluegrass Inn.

Not to fear though friends!...We have been asked to be the regular "house band" at Roberts on Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and will make another Saturday night appearance on the 30th at Layla's Bluegrass Inn from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Please be sure to come out and support us if you get the chance and we'll be sure to put on a first rate show for you and your friends.
