The Real Meaning of the Fourth of July

Contrary to popular myth, the men who signed the Declaration of Independence were not great Americans. Instead, they were great Englishmen. In fact, they were as much English citizens as Americans today are American citizens. It's easy to forget that the revolutionaries in 1776 were people who took up arms against their own government.

So how is it that these men are considered patriots? Well, the truth is that their government didn't consider them patriots at all. Their government considered them to be bad guys – traitors, all of whom deserved to be hanged for treason.

Most of us consider the signers of the Declaration of Independence to be patriots because of their courage in taking a stand against the wrongdoing and tyranny of their own government, even risking their lives in the process.

Yet not even the patriotism and courage of these English citizens constitutes the foremost significance of the Fourth of July, any more than the military victory over their government's forces at Yorktown does.

Instead, the real significance of the Fourth of July lies in the expression of what is undoubtedly the most revolutionary political declaration in history: that man's rights are inherent, God-given, and natural and, thus, do not come from government.

Throughout history, people have believed that their rights come from government. Such being the case, people haven't objected whenever government officials infringed upon their rights. Since rights were considered to be government-bestowed privileges, the thinking went, why shouldn't government officials have the power to regulate or suspend such privileges at will?

The Declaration of Independence upended that age-old notion of rights. All men – not just Americans – have been endowed by God and nature, not government, with fundamental and unalienable rights. Governments are called into existence by the people – and exist at their pleasure – for one purpose: to protect the exercise of these inherent rights.

What happens if a government that people have established becomes a destroyer, rather than a protector, of their rights? The Declaration provides the answer: It is the right of the people to alter or even abolish their government and establish new government whose purpose is the protection, not the destruction, of people's rights and freedoms.

The Constitution and the Bill of Rights must be construed in light of that revolutionary statement of rights in the Declaration of Independence. The American people used the Constitution to bring the federal government into existence but also, simultaneously, they used that document to limit the government's powers to those expressly enumerated in the Constitution. With the Constitution, people limited the powers of their own government in a formal, structured way, with the aim of protecting their rights and freedoms from being infringed upon by that same government.

Why did Americans deem it desirable and necessary to limit the powers of the federal government? Because they feared the possibility that their new government would become like their former government against which they had had to take up arms. While they recognized the necessity for government – as a means to protect their rights – they also recognized that the federal government was the greatest threat to their rights. By severely limiting the powers of the federal government to those enumerated within the Constitution, the Framers intended to encase the federal government within a straitjacket.

Even that was not sufficient for the American people, however. As a condition for approving the Constitution, they demanded passage of the Bill of Rights, which emphasized two deeply held beliefs: (1) that the federal government, not some foreign entity, constitutes the greatest threat to the rights and liberties of the American people; and (2) that the enumeration of specific rights and liberties, both substantive and procedural, would better ensure their protection from federal infringement.

On the Fourth of July we celebrate the patriotism and courage of those English revolutionaries who were willing to pledge their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor in defense of the most revolutionary declaration of rights in history – that man's rights come from God and nature, not from government.

A Nation Under Occupation

Part of the claims of the Confederate Movement is that the Confederacy is a Nation under occupation by the United States Government; in reality it is more than a simple belief, and is actually a legitimate fact. Not only is it a fact that the CSA is a Nation under occupation, but it is a fact that the current State Governments in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas were illegally put in place.

General Robert E. Lee surrendered his military forces at Appomattox on April 7th, 1865; however, this was only a surrender of Lee's army, not the Government of the Confederate States of America. Most of the CSA Government officials either fled to Europe or Canada; however President Jefferson Davis was captured and held for two years by the Union. NEVER during the entire time of Davis' imprisonment did he surrender the government to the Union. NEVER at any point in time did any member of the Government sign a treaty with the Union, nor did they ever surrender the Government of the CSA.

The Union did in fact go to the State Houses of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas and at gunpoint ordered the elected governments out of office and instated a puppet government loyal to the Union.

From the Reconstruction Act of 39th Congress:

"From Section 1:

…said rebel States shall be divided into military districts and made subject to the military authority of the United States, as hereinafter prescribed, and for that purpose Virginia shall constitute the first district; North Carolina and South Carolina the second district; Georgia, Alabama, and Florida the third district; Mississippi and Arkansas the fourth district; and Louisiana and Texas the fifth district

Section 2:

That it shall be the duty of the President to assign to the command of each of said districts an officer of the army, not below the rank of brigadier-general, and to detail a sufficient military force to enable such officer to perform his duties and enforce his authority within the district to which he is assigned."

The South remained under military occupation for 12 years, to insure that the puppet government that was instated would remain in force. The military did not allow any of the rightful government to participate, nor did they allow any Confederate to vote or participate in their own government. Furthermore, the Union forced the Confederate States to create a new Constitution, not of the will of the people, but constructed of the will of the Union.

From Section 5 of the Reconstruction Act of 39th Congress:

"That when the people of any one of said rebel States shall have formed a constitution of government in conformity with the Constitution of the United States in all respects, framed by a convention of delegates elected by the male citizens of said State twenty-one years old and upward, of whatever race, color, or previous condition, who have been resident in said State for one year previous to the day of such election, except such as may be disfranchised for participation in the rebellion, or for felony at common law…"

Not only did the scallywags, carpetbaggers, and Union military get to dictate what was in the Constitution, it had to pass the approval of the Congress. When does a State Constitution EVER have to be approved by the Federal Government, especially one controlled by the South-hating Radical Republicans under Thaddeus Stevens?

From Section 5 of the Reconstruction Act of 39th Congress:

"…and when such constitution shall have been submitted to Congress for examination and approval, and Congress shall have approved the same, and when said State, by a vote of its legislature elected under said constitution, shall have adopted the amendment to the Constitution of the United States, proposed by the Thirty-Ninth Congress, and known as article fourteen, and when said article shall have become a part of the Constitution of the United States, said State shall be declared entitled to representation in Congress, and Senators and Representatives shall be admitted therefrom on their taking the oaths prescribed by law, and then and thereafter the preceding sections of this act shall be inoperative in said State: Provided, That no person excluded from the privilege of holding office by said proposed amendment to the Constitution of the United States shall be eligible to election as a member of the convention to frame a constitution for any of said rebel States, nor shall any such person vote for members of such convention."

Not only did the Congress need to approve the Constitutions, but the States had to be forced to approve the illegal 14th Amendment to the US Constitution before the puppet government was even allowed representation in the Federal Government.

Adding insult to injury, aside from disallowing most anyone who actually represented the south from participating in elections, government office, or the construction of a Constitution, the Union forced those who did participate to swear an Oath that they would not only abide by everything the US Government wanted, they would "encourage"others to do so as well.

From the Supplementary Reconstruction Act of the 40th Congress:

From Section 1: (An Oath)

"…I am twenty-one years old; that I have not been disfranchised for participation in any rebellion or civil war against the United States, nor for felony committed against the laws of any State or of the United States; that I have never been a member of any State legislature, nor held any executive or judicial office in any State and afterwards engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof; that I have never taken an oath as a member of Congress of the United States, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, and afterwards engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof; that I will faithfully support the Constitution and obey the laws of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, encourage others so to do, so help me God"

The Confederates were NOT in insurrection against the United States, nor were they in rebellion. The Confederacy was enacting their rights allowed by Natural Law, the intentions of the Founding Fathers, the Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the US Constitution, and their own State Constitutions to alter, abolish, or reform their government as the people deem necessary. The Confederacy has (and had) NO desire to overthrow the United States, they wish to be separate from them, free to continue the Constitutional Republic established by the likes of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and George Mason.

The Union did not see it that way, as they then went on to allow the military to dictate the time, place, and manner of holding elections… an enumerated power given EXCLUSIVELY to the Congress. It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, by virtue of the US, Confederate, and State Constitutions, to allow the military to set the time, place, and manner of elections… therefore, the elections were invalid.

From Section 2 of the Supplementary Reconstruction Act of the 40th Congress:

"…That after the completion of the registration hereby provided for in any State, at such time and places therein as the commanding general shall appoint and direct, of which at least thirty days' public notice shall be given, an election shall be held of delegates to a convention for the purpose of establishing a constitution and civil government for such state loyal to the Union…"

Not only did the military set the set the time, place, and manner of elections… they were the registrars, overseers, and qualifiers of the returns. Each of these functions goes against the Constitution of not only the United States, but the individual States, and the CSA as well.

From Section 4 of the Supplementary Reconstruction Act of the 40th Congress:

"…That the commanding general of each district shall appoint as many boards of registration as may be necessary, consisting of three loyal officers or persons, to make and complete the registration, superintend the election, and make return to him of the votes, lists of voters, and of the persons elected as delegates by a plurality of the votes cast at said election; and upon receiving said returns he shall open the same, ascertain the persons elected as delegates according to the returns of the officers who conducted said election, and make proclamation thereof…

…said convention, when organized, shall proceed to frame a constitution and civil government according to the provisions of this act and the act to which is it supplementary; and when the same shall have been so framed, said constitution shall be submitted by the convention for ratification to the persons registered under the provisions of this act at an election to be conducted by the officers or persons appointed or to be appointed by the commanding general…"

The Southern States were not given representation by the puppet government in Congress until they abided by the whim of the Union.

From Section 5 of the Supplementary Reconstruction Act of the 40th Congress:

"…if the Congress shall be satisfied that such constitution meets the approval of a majority of all the qualified electors in the State, and if the said constitution shall be declared by Congress to be in conformity with the provisions of the act to which this is supplementary, and the other provisions of said act shall have been complied with, and the said constitution shall be approved by Congress, the State shall be declared entitled to representation, and Senators and Representatives shall be admitted therefrom as therein provided."

The Union took it upon itself to declare ILLEGAL the rightfully elected governments of the various Southern States, and their rightfully instituted Constitutions null and void. The Union declared that the South would remain under the authority of the US Congress. NO STATE shall EVER be under the authority of Congress… The House and Senate shall represent the people and the States respectively.

From the Supplementary Reconstruction Act of July 19th, 1867:

From Section 1:

"…the governments then existing in the rebel States of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Texas, and Arkansas, were not legal State governments; and that thereafter said governments, if continued, were to be continued subject in all respects to the military commanders of the respective districts, and to the paramount authority of Congress."

The Congress illegally gave the Union military the power to remove anyone from office (elected or otherwise) that they so desired, to be replaced by whomever they chose. Therefore, the puppet State governments was, and is, at the mercy of the manipulations of the Union.

Section 2 of the Supplementary Reconstruction Act of July 19th, 1867:

"That the commander of any district named in said act shall have power, subject to the disapproval of the General of the army of the United States, and to have effect till disapproved, whenever in the opinion of such commander the proper administration of said act shall require it, to suspend or remove from office, or from the performance of official duties and the exercise of official powers, any officer or person holding or exercising, or professing to hold or exercise, any civil or military office or duty in such district under any power, election, appointment, or authority derived from, or granted by, or claimed under, any so-called State or the government thereof, or any municipal or other division thereof; and upon such suspension or removal such commander, subject to the disapproval of the General as aforesaid, shall have power to provide from time to time for the performance of the said duties of such officer or person so suspended or removed, by the detail of some competent officer or soldier of the army, or by the appointment of some other person to perform the same, and to fill vacancies occasioned by death, resignation, or otherwise."

After 12 years of coercion, conditioning, and military occupation, the States were allowed to participate in the Federal Union under the helm of puppet governments instated by the same. To this day the South has to follow different rules, and is held under tighter restrictions than the rest of the States in the Union. It is time we wake up and educate the masses. WE ARE a Nation under occupation, and the Federal Union has been naming the tune to which we dance, and we are most certainly dancing with the devil.

Any doubt the NRA isn't a shill organization, have now been removed for all to see. The recent B rating given to Dr. Ron Paul (R) TX -14th District, is an outrage. According to the NRA's website as well as his challenger, Rep. Ron Paul's "B" rating indicates past votes for restrictive legislation. This is a blatant lie! When asked for the rating criteria, the NRA said they didn't publish one. According to Penny Langford Freeman, an aide to Congressman Paul, the lowered rating appears to be payback for Congressman Paul's opposition to the NRA's compromise gun locks legislation, which was added to a clean firearms manufacturer's protection bill.

On the other hand, Gun Owners of America, as well as other leading gun rights groups, rate Rep. Paul with an A+. When executive director of GOA, Larry Pratt was informed of what the NRA was doing, he was quick to come to the aide of the Texas congressman.

Larry Pratt went on to relate that from the time Ron Paul got to Congress in 1976 he has been the staunchest of defenders of the 2nd Amendment. From his first days in Congress trying to use a constitutional remedy, the 'One House Veto' to return residents of Washington D.C. their gun rights, to the continual moans of his own Republican party, "Oh here we go again" every time he try's to strike down existing gun laws. Pratt continued "This is a guy who's the real deal", "let's get behind Ron Paul! He's been behind us". When asked how GOA rated the challenger Shane Sklar, Mr. Pratt said "he didn't return the form, which is a very bad sign".

Young Mr. Sklar, whose main battle cry is that the incumbent doesn't bring home enough pork, is out of step, a relic that can't work the system for his constituents. Ignored and irrelevant, is the claim directed at the most principled person in Washington. Congressman Paul's bills are now being recognized by many around the country as necessary to saving this country.

A new wrinkle has been added with the fake ratings by the NRA, now Mr. Sklar has launched a new campaign site emphasizing the fact that he's an avid hunter and fisherman. We all know this line "I support the gun rights of sportsman and hunters", says Mr. Sklar. Versus something that the Statesman, Ron Paul would say, "the Second Amendment is not about hunting or your right to shoot skeet".

We need all men and women who believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, regardless of political affiliations to come to the aid of the last great statesman of the United States of America, veteran, doctor, and scholar; Congressman Ron Paul.

We are in the midst of a detailed investigation into Shane Sklar, he's a registered lobbyist here in Texas. With ethics violations swirling around, his ties to Big Agra and organizations pushing the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) are very troubling; he has all the earmarks of being the corrupt establishment's boy.

Here are a few facts from sources here in Texas:

-Shane Sklar is: He is a registered lobbyist with ethics violations recorded with the TEC

-He has about $150k in personal debt according to his FEC report and he just turned 30 this year.

-Pelosi had a fundraiser for him in DC in July

-He had never been in the military though he says that he is pro military.(he's still young enough to enlist)

-He says that he is a farmer/rancher though he just borrowed money from his mother to invest in his family farm this year.

-His family has ties to oil.

-He is for amnesty(though he says that the illegals need to pay a fine and go to the back of the line, not be deported or prosecuted for breaking the law.)

-He says that he wants more money for farmers, roads, military, but yet wants to balance the budget.

Let's support the GOA instead. They're an organization that actually cares about our natural and God given right to own and bear arms, as recognized by our 2nd Amendment.

Why the GOP Must Nominate Ron Paul

Why must the Republican Party nominate a 72-year-old grandfather from
the Gulf Coast of Texas, until the past few months little known
outside his district, as its 2008 standard-bearer? Very simple: the
alternative is eight years of President Hillary Clinton. That ought
to be enough to get the attention of every conservative who happens
upon these words, so let me explain.

It should come as no big revelation to anyone inside or outside of
the Republican Party that the GOP has lost touch with its
conservative roots. Massive deficit spending that would make Bill
Clinton or Jimmy Carter blush; foreign adventurism beyond the wildest
dreams of Woodrow Wilson or Teddy Roosevelt; more big government
programs than FDR or LBJ (Google "Medicare expansion" for a massive
example) ... the Republican Party of the early 21st century is
clearly not your father's or grandfather' s GOP.

There are no more Robert Tafts, no more Barry Goldwaters, not even
any more Ronald Reagans (as imperfect as he turned out to be after
reaching the White House) ... except one: Ron Paul. Dr. Paul (an
OB/GYN who has delivered more than 4,000 babies) is the last, best
hope for the GOP to reclaim its once-upon-a- time status as the party
of limited government.

It isn't his status as the leading advocate of limited,
constitutional government that makes Ron Paul a must-nominate for the
GOP, though. It is true that in the long run, the Republican Party
needs him to help it reclaim its spirit, and this indeed will be his
lasting legacy. But, in the short run, the party needs him to win the
2008 election and save the country from another Clinton presidency
that would be far worse than the first. (Unlike Bill, who was
apparently mainly involved in politics to get the attention of the
ladies, Hillary is a true believer in socialism; and, with a
Democratic majority in Congress, she will have an excellent
opportunity to expedite its widespread implementation in America.)

Fact one: Hillary Clinton will win the 2008 Democratic nomination.
She is an experienced, cut-throat politician with deep ties in the
party, and can take Barack Obama down pretty much any time she wants
to. And John Edwards is not serious about pursuing the nomination. He
is just positioning himself to be the VP nominee again, because in
the wake of the 2006 Congressional elections he believes that Hillary
will win the Presidency by taking a few key states where John Kerry
fell short. Long story short: forget the others - Hillary is the
woman to beat in 2008.

Fact two: The 2008 election will be won by the candidate who most
credibly addresses the growing anti-war sentiment that has been
embraced by the majority of the country's voters. (Google "2006 mid-
term elections.) 70% or more of Americans want out of Iraq, and for
many of them, it is the defining issue of the campaign. You may agree
or disagree, but it's a fact and it's going to decide the 2008
Presidential election.

If it comes down to Hillary Clinton vs. any of the "establishment"
Republican candidates, she wins by default. She may have voted for
the war originally, but she will continue to claim that she was
misled by the Republican administration, and that we should trust her
to make things right. (Of course she won't really get us out of the
Middle East mess, but Joe Six-Pack won't figure that out until after
she wins the election.)

If any of the supposed "front runner" Republican candidates (Rudy
Giuliani, Mitt Romney, John McCain, or Fred Thompson) wins the GOP
nomination, Hillary Clinton is essentially a lock. Not only will she
win over a sizable portion of the independent vote with her
(perceived) status as "the anti-war candidate," but - simply put -
the GOP will not turn out its base in sufficient numbers to win.

Nominate Rudy Giuliani? Conservative, red-state voters are not going
to turn out to support a gun-grabbing Northern liberal faux
Republican who dresses in drag and is a charter member of the Wife-Of-
The-Month Club. The social conservatives, along with the fiscal
conservatives and the key swing voters (libertarians and
constitutionalists) will either stay home on Election Day or vote
third party. Rudy won't even carry his home state, and ask Al Gore
how that usually works out. Slam dunk, Hillary wins.

Nominate Mitt Romney? You get basically the same result as Giuliani
without the (bogus) "America's Mayor" 9/11 cachet. Conservatives in
the South and West won't turn out for the former governor
of "Taxachusetts" who has flip-flopped on virtually every issue they
hold dear. The fact that Romney is a Mormon won't help him with the
mainstream Christian base, either. He probably can't win the GOP
nomination, but even if he does, Romney is toast in the general
election.

Nominate John McCain? Not gonna happen. His campaign has taken a nose
dive from which it will be virtually impossible to recover. As of the
end of the second quarter, even (supposed) long-shot Ron Paul had
more cash on hand - and, when the third quarter numbers come in,
McCain will be even further behind in the money game. He probably
won't even be in the top five on the GOP side. Stick a fork in him,
he's done. And even if he could pull off the apparently impossible
and come back to win the Republican nomination, he loses to Hillary
on the war and many domestic issues as well.

Fred Thompson? He's the last hope of those Republicans who are
looking for a "mainstream" candidate to save them from looming,
seemingly inevitable defeat in 2008. On the surface, he appears to
have more of a chance than the previously mentioned "big three."
After all, he has the "actor factor." It worked for Reagan and, more
recently, Arnold Schwarzenegger in California - couldn't it work for
Fred, too? Well, no, not this time around.

Like Ronald Reagan, Fred Thompson is reasonably good at reading a
script. Unlike the Gipper, though, Fred is just awful at speaking
extemporaneously. In case anyone was wondering why Thompson waited so
long to declare his candidacy, it's obvious to those who know
anything about his abilities and liabilities: he wanted to avoid as
many debates as possible.

Like Obama on the Democratic side, Thompson is an empty suit. He
looks reasonably presentable, but sooner or later he has to open his
mouth, and when he does he doesn't say anything of substance. The
less he speaks in public (especially with other candidates around to
rebut him), the better for Fred. Unfortunately for Thompson, while he
has so far been able to duck any direct confrontation with his GOP
rivals, he won't be able to avoid debating Hillary if he wins the
Republican nomination. And about five minutes into the first debate,
with no "Law and Order" writers to put words in his mouth, it will be
over. Game, set, match, Hillary.

When you look at it objectively, there isn't a single one of the "Big
Four" GOP candidates who can beat Hillary Clinton head-to-head. And
none of the "second tier" candidates (Huckabee, Brownback, Hunter,
Tancredo, et al) have stepped up to the challenge. Really, there is
only one remaining viable Republican candidate: You guessed it, Ron
Paul.

Only Ron Paul can take advantage of the Internet the way Howard Dean
did before he imploded four years ago. Indeed, he has already
captured the Internet ... the Ron Paul Revolution is already in full
swing online. It sure was nice of Al Gore to invent the Net for Ron
Paul supporters to take over, wasn't it?

Only Ron Paul can outflank Hillary Clinton both to the left on the
war, and to the right on everything else ... which is the only
winning strategy the Republicans can plausibly employ in 2008.

Only Ron Paul, who is truly pro-family (married to the same woman for
over 50 years, with five children and 18 grandchildren - no "trophy
wives" here) can motivate the socially conservative base to actually
turn out and vote.

Only Ron Paul, who wants to eliminate the IRS (and a host of other
federal agencies) and stop the Federal Reserve from devaluing our
money through runaway, printing-press inflation, can motivate the
fiscally conservative base to cast a GOP ballot in 2008.

Only Ron Paul can keep the Libertarians and Constitution Party
members from splintering off to support their own third-party
nominees rather than another neo-con, Bush clone Republican. (In
fact, the 2004 nominees of the Constitution Party and the Libertarian
Party, Michael Peroutka and Michael Badnarik, have both already
endorsed Ron Paul's candidacy.) While the LP and CP may command only
a small fraction of the overall vote, that may well be enough to turn
the tide in a crucial state or two. Ask Al Gore if he could have used
a few thousand of Ralph Nader's votes in 2000....

Yes, when you look at things objectively, there are only two
candidates who can win the White House in 2008: Hillary Clinton and
Ron Paul. The contrast could not be more stark, nor the results for
the future of America more divergent. If you are a social or fiscal
conservative, a libertarian, a constitutionalist, or just a concerned
independent ... now is the time to consider your options and act
accordingly while there is still time to affect the outcome.

The Ron Paul Revolution has begun.

Goverment "authorized" ways to celebrate your freedoms this Constitution Day, Sept. 17

On Sept. 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by thirty-nine brave
men who changed the course of history. Now Constitution Day is a time for
us to continue their legacy and develop habits of citizenship in a new
generation of Americans.

As we go out to celebrate our freedom this Constitution Day Sept. 17,
let's go over a few things to make your celebration a success.

Do not claim that freedom of speech gives you the right to wear a Tee-shirt that the government doesn't like.
They can put you in jail.
If you are a REALLY BIG criminal you will get a Presidential pardon. You will have no such luck if you are just a border patrol agent doing his job.

Tidy up you house before you leave in case it is searched while you are out.
You used to have the right to freedom from search unless a search warrant is issued. Now the police can come into your home, and take whatever they want, and not tell you until 2 weeks later, if they tell you at all.
They don't even have to knock on the door before they barge in.

Don't use any illegal fireworks in your celebration. It is for your own safety. And the founding father's implemented a government to protect you from yourselves. Didn't they? Besides, fireworks are explosive devices and you might be considered a terrorist with weapons of mass destruction. And although the government can't find any in Iraq, you can rest assured they will find them in your car trunk. But don't worry, getting arrested, imprisoned indefinitely without formal charges, and a 5 year wait before the secret tribunal trial per the Patriot Act is a breeze. It's that secret summary execution that should make you nervous.

Make sure you are buckled up in your seat belts, there will be roadblocks and checkpoints to make sure you comply. It is for the children. Have your papers ready as you approach the holiday police checkpoints.

If you are an airline employee, lighten up for the holiday, you can always look for a job tomorrow. Maybe you could transfer over to a Federal Airport Security Screener job.
Big demand for those jobs and you don't have to be smart.

If you are a Haliburton employee, then celebrate:
You probably have a raise coming from the Iraqi contract windfall.

If celebrating on any public property,
make no mention of religious ideals.
Government is a god there.
You will be apprehended.
ALSO, do not hold any religious observances in "your home"
without checking with the zoning administration,
to see if "your home" is properly zoned for church activities.
ALSO by careful not to violate any ordinances against "group assembly".
Do not put up any patriotic signs in front of "your home"
without checking with the zoning administration,
to see if "your home" is properly zoned for billboards.
The term "your home" is used to refer;
not only to homes that are rented on a monthly basis,
from another subject;
but also to homes that are rented on a yearly basis,
directly from the government agent, in the property tax division of your county.
If you make any improvements,
in preparation for your fully government authorized gathering,
make sure that you get permission from the real owner of "your home". The correct government agent, to grant this permission,
will be in the "building permits" section.

Don't criticize the President, or other government officials;
you might be in violation of the Patriot Act and considered a possible terrorist.

Don't mention the Constitution in any district court,
or you could be held in contempt.

If your children get out of line this holiday,
do not discipline them,
or they may be kidnapped by the Dept. of Social Services
and held hostage until you sign a confession,
receive approved psychological therapy,
and are deemed acceptable.

Show compassion this Constitution Day by bringing an illegal immigrant to your celebration, or by hugging a tree.

If an election is occurring in your locality within the next 90 days, do not talk about or publicly support any candidate, as that is no longer lawful. Keep your mouth shut.

If an officer asks to search your vehicle at the "seat belt" checks, do not be belligerent and demand a search warrant.
Standing up for your fourth amendment rights is anti-social and not in tune with the new American way.
Are you with Al Quada or something?

Do not get upset when the searching officer will not help you pick up your belongings that he has strewn all over the highway as he searched your vehicle.
It is not in his job description
and complaining will get you charged with obstructing justice.

Keep your guns at home.
You are not going hunting and besides,
what on earth do guns have to do with Constitution Day?
Better yet, turn your guns into the authorities to let them know that you are a true patriotic American.
You still have the right to carry a gun if you have a license,
but that will soon be gone if the United Nations passes their measure making carrying a gun illegal.

Better yet, just STAY at home.
BUT do not assume that you are safe,
because you are at home.
If a government bureaucrat shows up at "your home",
he will probably be flashing a badge at you.
This makes him look like a constitutional law enforcement officer.
He may even be armed.
Do not ask to see a warrant,
and then tell him to leave if he does not have one.
They will put a siege around your house.
If you do not come out soon enough,
they may invade, with guns drawn,
or even set your house on fire.

If you are counting on you congressman to protect you,
understand that the average congressman is ALSO afraid to resist.
For more information, do a Google search using keywords like "George Hansen", "James Traficant" or "Larry McDonald".

You used to have the right to privacy.
Now they have cameras everywhere watching you.
If celebrating at the mall you are probably safe as the mall is now monitored by hundreds of surveillance cameras,
watched by federal security forces.
Don't do anything that you wouldn't want them to see.

Bring lots of cash with you,
there will be many taxes, fines, and fees to pay as you celebrate your freedoms this day. Of course there is an undefined amount of cash that is "too much". If you have more cash on you than someone with a badge thinks you should have, it will make you look like a drug dealer and the cash will be confiscated. Even if you're not charged, you will have to prove your innocence before you see your cash again. In fact, you might have to put up a bond of 120% of what was seized just to get the opportunity to attempt to prove your innocence to get your own cash back. See comments below on "civil forfeiture" laws.

Do not leave home without your driver's license,
social security card, birth certificate, welfare card, Medicare card, medical records, W-2 Form, and two others forms of ID. You may be asked for them at the police checkpoints.
Better yet, get micro-chipped, and avoid the hassle of carrying around your papers. Bring your library card, the FBI may ask you for it. But do not complain. As soon as the "Real ID Act" is fully implemented you will not have all of this inconvenience. You will be required to carry one card that has a magnetic strip storing every bit of your personal and private information.
Of course any state has the right to refuse to comply with the REAL ID Act. However, that state will not receive any highway funding from the federal government, funding in every area will be cut, and residents using the old licenses will not be able to open bank accounts or credit card accounts, obtain loans or mortgages, obtain student loans, attend a public college, apply for food stamps, enter any federal building or courthouse, receive a federal income tax refund, receive social security benefits, or fly on an airplane. Of course you will still be expected to pay the federal income tax that funds all of the above, in order to avoid having "your home", and anything of value found in "your home", sold at public auction.

Do not put any "anti-government" bumper stickers on your car. Especially not anything about the right to keep and bear arms. Police have been trained by the FBI in "bumper sticker profiling".
This attracts their attention at the check points, and makes you look like a terrorist.

With regard to "bumper sticker profiling" you should be especially aware of the fact that "They will get my gun, when they pry it from my cold dead fingers" is no longer mere semantics. At WACO, and at RUBY RIDGE,
we learned that they WILL kill you to take your guns

ALSO, be careful not to have any unauthorized THOUGHTS.
There are now serious penalties for "thought crime".
Be aware that "civil forfeiture" laws make it possible to take anything that you own, by alleging that it was "intended" to be used for the commission of a crime. This could include transporting, or storing, a gun.
If "civil forfeiture" proceedings are initiated against you,
then you will have the burden of proof,
to show that your thoughts were in compliance with government standards.

Get to know some politicians, and bureaucrats, so that you might be able to head off the taking of your private property to be given to private developers for the "public good".

If traveling by air, this Constitution Day,
do not give the airport screeners a hard time.
They are feeling you up, and molesting your daughter, and wife, for the security of America. If you complain you could be arrested. You don't support Bin Laden do you?

Keep an eye on your fellow Americans as you celebrate this Constitution Day Sept. 17. If you see anything suspicious, take notes so that when you get home you can call and report them to the Homeland Security Office.
And remember you are not a nosey snitch, you are a great American Patriot.

Do not mention the signers of the Declaration of Independence this Constitution Day Sept. 17.
Mentioning these white subversive terrorists is not popular and could get you in big trouble.
Besides what do these guys have to do with the Constitution Day anyway?

Do not leave home without one or more little plastic American flags made by political slaves in Communist China.
Make sure you have one flying from the antennae of your vehicle.
You don't want to seem un-American do you?

Do not take a copy of the Declaration of Independence with you as it advocates the overthrow of tyrannical government.
It is a terrorist document and will be confiscated at the holiday police checkpoints.
Same advice for the Constitution.

And remember, as you leave home for your Constitution Day outing, that the second you stepped out of your door that you probably broke hundreds of federal, state, and local laws that you are probably unaware of.
However, if you tow the line, you will not be charged.

If arrested you used to have the right to a jury trial,
and to be told what you have done wrong,
and appointed council.
Now you can be labeled an "enemy combatant" or terrorist,
and be placed in jail with no trial, no lawyer, nothing for as long as they want.

Don't even think about taxes on this great day.
The 50 per cent government confiscation of your income at the threat of imprisonment or at the point of a gun should not even cross your mind as you revel in your freedom.
After all, April 15th is a long way off.
With a little effort,
maybe we can get our taxes down to one fourth of our income;
like the amount that the feudal serfs paid to their masters.

And whatever you do, do not let on that you really know that true freedom died a long time ago in America, just have fun for the day and then go home and stick your head back in the sand and pretend America is not becoming a fascist police state.

If you have a few decades with nothing better to do,
study up on "administrative law".
Laws are now made by the unelected bureaucrats,
in hundreds of "administrative agencies".
If you are charged with violating one of these "laws" you will not get a trial by a jury of your peers.
You will be tried by the agency that made the "law" and made the charge against you.
If you appeal this "conviction, " your appeal will also be heard by the administrative agency that "convicted" you.
How likely is it, that they will decide, that they were right?

I hope this message gets past the Department of Home land Insecurity approved internet filter.
How else can they protect us from unauthorized thought?

Now go out and celebrate your freedom,
and have a great Constitution Day!

The government loves people like you.
They can take away even more of your rights and you will just go along with them without speaking out.
You deserve to lose your rights because you didn't appreciate them when you did have them.

Declaration of Independence Facts:


Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed
the Declaration of Independence? Five signers were captured by the
British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their
homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the
Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured. Nine of the 56
fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.
They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their
sacred honor.


What kind of men were they?


Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine
were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated.
But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well
that the penalty would be death if they were captured.

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from
the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay
his debts, and died in rags. Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the
British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He
served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding.
His possessions were taken from him,and poverty was his reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer,
Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Rutledge, and Middleton. At the battle of
Yorktown, Thomas Nelson Jr, noted that the British General Cornwallis
had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged
General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and
Nelson died bankrupt. Francis Lewis had his home and properties
destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few
months. John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was
dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his
gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in
forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his
children vanished. A few weeks later he died from exhaustion and a
broken heart. Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates.

Such were the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution.
These were not wild-eyed, rabble- rousing ruffians. They were
soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they
valued liberty more. Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they
pledged: "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on
the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each
other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor." They gave you
and me a free and independent America. The history books never told
you a lot about what happened in the Revolutionary War. We didn't
fight just the British.

We were British subjects at that time and we fought our own
government! Some of us take these liberties so much for granted, but
we shouldn't. So,take a few minutes while enjoying your Constitution Day Sept. 17
holiday and silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for
the price they paid.


Remember: Freedom is never free! I hope you will show your support by
please sending this to as many people as you can. It's time we get
the word out that patriotism is NOT a sin, and the Constitution Day has
more to it than beer, picnics, and baseball games.

Happy Birthday Dr. Paul!




Seventy-two years ago today, 10-term Congressman Ron Paul was born. Why does a politician deserve a blog honoring his birthday?! Well, simply because Ron Paul is the first real chance Americans have at seeing the restoration of their liberties. For those who say "Ron Paul has no chance", I respectfully disagree:

* In early 1975, Jimmy Carter was polling at 1% (he went on to win the presidency).
* In early 1987, Michael Dukakis was polling at 1% (he went on to win the Democratic nomination).
* In early 1991, Bill Clinton was at 2% (he went on to win the presidency).
* In the spring of 1999, John McCain was polling at 3% (he went on to win the New Hampshire primary).
* In early 2003, Joe Lieberman was leading the field for the Democratic presidential nomination (he failed to win any primary).

1. Polls: Ron Paul won the latest two state straw polls: In New Hampshire Dr. Paul received 73% of the votes! (Coming in second place, Mitt Romney only received 1/8th of Pauls votes!!) And in Alabama Ron Paul won with 81% of the votes! (Again, second place candidate Mitt Romney received 1/15th of the amount ad Ron Paul!) Ron Paul won an early New Hampshire straw poll put together by the Coalition for New Hampshire Taxpayers. Ron Paul placed in 1st with a remarkable 65% of the votes. Giuliani came in second with a mere 8% [Ron Paul also won the Gaston County, NC Straw Poll with over 36% of the votes!] He wins almost every single internet poll where his name is an option.

2. Ron Paul has support from the U.S. Military. Military contributions among Republican presidential candidates place Ron Paul on top at 49.5%, which is nearly as much as all the other Republicans combined.

2. "Ron Paul" is the firt to second most searched term on Technorati, which measures blog search traffic. (38% of Americans as of 2004 rely on the internet for information about politics, political issues and elections. 15% of all Americans use the internet as a primary source for political news)
3. Ron Paul's website attracts the most visitors out of all the Republican candidates.

4. He has won almost every Republican debate according to the polls, and came in second for the ones he hasn't ranked 1st in.

5. Ron Paul is leading the Republicans on popularity on Social Networking sites and Meet up groups. With over 55,000 friends on Myspace, and over 25,000 subscribers onYoutube, Ron Paul is clearly the most popular candidate amongst internet users.

6. We all know by now that Paul has more cash on hand than McCain. But he also has more cash on hand than seven other presidential hopefuls combined (Tancredo, Brownback, Huckabee, Kucinich, Hunter, T. Thompson, and Gravel). In fact Ron Paul has almost as much net cash on hand as Mitt Romney (to get that number, you deduct the $9 million of debt that the Romney campaign owes).

7. He has 75% Support of the Libertarian party (The third largest political party in the nation)

8. He has a dedicated base of supporters. With a mere 25% voter turnout in the last election's primaries, Ron Paul's dedicated supporters can make a big difference. It's fair to assume that 75% of Ron Paul supporters will vote in the primaries. Unlike traditional voters, Ron Paul's supporters seem to be a bit over zealous to say the least. Libertarians also tend to have a higher voter turnout then traditional political parties, and with recent surveys showing that 75% of Libertarians support Ron Paul over their own Libertarian presidential candidate, its safe to say that Ron Paul has been heavily underestimated.

9. Ron Paul has more than 4 times as many volunteers as Obama, 22 times more volunteers than Hillary, and hundreds of times more volunteers than Giuliani or Romney, per Meetup.com.  In addition, new Ron Paul volunteers is growing at a rate of 36 times faster than Obama, and 96 times faster than Hillary as documented here.

And what makes Ron Paul such a worthy candidate to be our next President is the fact that he practices what he preaches.

Eventhough Ron Paul voted against the authorization of military force in Iraq, He PROPOSED a bill to Congress that would declare war! Why would he do that?! So that Congress would abide by the Constitution and only commit the military to a DECLARED war. He is simply sticking to the OLD Republican Party principles (the ones that MADE them the Republican Party!) by promoting a Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy. Ray McGovern, a 27-year veteran of the CIA, said largely the same thing, telling Horton: "I'm really edified by Ron Paul stepping up and stating what he believes to be the case. If you believe that they hate us for our democracy or for our freedoms, well I've got a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd really like to sell you at a cut rate. They hate us for our policies and that's what Ron Paul was saying. Giuliani really showed his true colors there as a demagogue.

The U.S. entered World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam under Democratic Presidents, and Democratic Majority Congresses, and in each one the draft was activated. The first time the draft was DEactivated was by a Republican President: Richard Nixon. George W. Bush and his dad are out of line with the history of the Republican Party.

Many Republicans practically idolize Ronald Reagan... well, Ron Paul is the closest thing to Ronald Reagan that you will find in politics. In fact Ronald Reagan said:

"Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country."

"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism."


Unlike the other candidates, Ron Paul doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk. In the debates and interviews he has said we should get rid of the Federal Reserve (a private bank that prints [inflates] our money that is backed by nothing). Well, on July 17, 2003 he introduced House Resolution 2778 to Congress, a bill to abolish the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal reserve banks, to repeal the Federal Reserve Act, and on June 15, 2007 he introduced HR 2755 to Congress, a bill to abolish the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal reserve banks, to repeal the Federal Reserve Act.

He also has said many times that the U.S. should leave the United Nations because it is an organization whose intent is to help establish global governance --- it erodes our national sovereignty. Well, on March 6, 2003 Ron Paul introduced House Resolution 1146 to Congress, a bill to end membership of the United States in the United Nations.

In case you didn't already know this about Ron Paul:

* He has never voted to raise taxes.
* He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
* He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
* He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
* He has never taken a government-paid junket.
* He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
* He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
* He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
* He voted against the Patriot Act.
* He voted against the Iraq war.
* He wants to remove Marijuana from the list of controlled substances


Regardless of what people (and mainstream media) say Ron Paul's "chances are", I do not treat elections like a horse race, where the object is to vote for the person most likely to win. I support, promote, and vote for the candidate who would do the most good for EVERYONE ---- by Restoring the Republic!

Fox News Rigs Debate To Savagely Attack Ron Paul

In a sickening display of cronyism and as a consequence of the sheer terror
elicited amongst the establishment after his previous success, Fox News
rigged last night's entire presidential debate in a crass effort to smear
Ron Paul - yet the Texas Congressman still beat Rudy Giuliani in Fox's own
poll.
If you thought the MSNBC debate was somewhat unfair towards Ron Paul, then
this was an absolute debacle.
The audience for the debate was clearly pre-screened and pre-selected to
include only mainly geriatric 75 year old plus Fox News viewers who are
scared of their own shadow. How else can the bizarre applause for
warmongering and torture, which polls show are both clearly opposed by the
majority of American people, be explained?
Guantanamo Bay is uniformly abhorred, even to the point where George W. Bush
himself said he wanted to close it down, and yet Romney is clapped for
saying he would like to double it!

Are these audience members robots or did Fox News dub the audio to include
the applause?
Giuliani clearly endorses torture and the mindless drones in attendance
rapaciously lap it up! Fox News manufactured a fictitious scenario to rig
the debate - the notion that terrorists are about to detonate a nuclear bomb
and that only torture can lead to its discovery.


Host Bit Hume failed to mention the fact that obtaining confessions from
torture is notoriously unreliable because the victim simply tells the
interrogator what he wants to hear, and not necessarily the truth. In fact,
using torture in place of more traditional investigative techniques would
only create false leads, waste more time and put the country in more danger.

Under the Constitution of the United States, which any of these potential
Presidents will have to swear an oath to uphold, evidence obtained from
torture is not admissible in court. In effect, Giuliani, Romney and Tancredo
(who has now completely discredited himself) have promised to violate the
Constitution before they even get into office.

After the show, Hannity and Colmes double-teamed Paul in an attempt to
discredit him in the eyes of both liberals and conservatives, with Colmes
going after him on abortion and Hannity chomping at the bit to smear the
Texas Congressman as weak on terrorism.
This followed a showdown between Giuliani and Paul in which the Texas
Congressman pointed out the fact that U.S. Foreign policy has bred hatred of
America throughout the world, a self-evident truth that is even embraced by
the CIA itself, and was scorned by Giuliani in response.

Despite the fact that Paul was given the more difficult questions and less
time to answer them and was then savagely attacked after he debate, he still
came out on top when the early polling began, eventually finishing a close
second to Romney and easily ahead of Giuliani.
Fox News were obviously desperate to prevent Ron Paul winning the poll
because they restricted it to text message only, no Internet voting, and
closed it down declaring Romney the winner after just three hours.


An MSNBC poll again shows Ron Paul trouncing the other candidates, beating
his nearest contenders hands down in every category.
Fox News anchor Carl Cameron immediately tried to spin Paul's success in the
poll when it became apparent he was winning with 30% of the vote shortly
after 11PM. Cameron roared that Paul had been "slapped down" by Giuliani in
the debate and that his success was merely because his office was unfairly
flood voting - ignoring the fact that McCain had openly told his supporters
to spam the polls on his own website.
ABC News' poll has Ron Paul at 18,500+ votes, with his nearest rivals Romney
and Giuliani barely making it into the 200's. This is an emphatic win for
the Texas Congressman.

Despite the fact that this whole event was a giant orchestrated smear job on behalf of Fox News to eliminate Ron Paul from the race, his message of liberty and real conservatism still resonates with the American people and no amount of vitriol on behalf of Neo-Con Rupert Murdoch and his underlings is going to change that fact.

A Comparison of all 2008 Presidential Candidates (and why you SHOULD vote for Ron Paul!)

First I would like to explain why you should NOT vote for any of the other candidates.

Since "actions speak louder than words," I will use each candidate's voting record (or actions) as the basis for why you should not vote for them. And because there are so many different pieces of legislation that have been considered over the years, I only picked a few from each area of 'the issues'…

THE DEMOCRATS

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton:

– Sponsored (and voted YES for) Senate bill S Con Res 18: Unintended Pregnancy Amendment
What this amendment intended to do was increase funding to family planning services, health care, and education programs --- More taxes in violation of the 'general welfare' clause of the Constitution. ["General Welfare" means it applies to everyone, not just certain designated people]

– Voted YES on HR 2646: Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002
This bill continues subsidies for farmers (government handouts, from your taxes) and increased food stamp program.

– Voted YES on HR 1571: Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill of 2007
The most ridiculous parts of this bill is the delegation of funds "for the war on terror" to the Department of Agriculture, Dept. of Justice, Dept. of Energy, and Dept. of Homeland Security! It also contained a clause to raise the federal minimum wage [intervening with the free market… If the minimum wage were $1000/hour, milk would cost $500]

– Voted YES on HR 2356: Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2001
This bill limits the amount of money that individuals can contribute to a campaign (Senate $2000, House $1000) and bans soft money contributions to national political parties.

– Voted YES on HR 6: Energy Act of 2005
This bill authorizes the use of eminent domain to construct new or to modify existing electric transmission facilities where electric energy transmission is deemed constrained or congested by the Secretary of Energy [sanctions State confiscation of property], creates an interagency Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Task Force to work with the Secretary of Energy; and authorizes $1.3 billion over five years to the Task Force and Secretary to carry out developmental hydrogen and fuel cell system demonstrations [bigger federal government, more taxes to fund it], and appropriates billions of dollars to energy research and grants.

– Voted YES on HR 5005: Homeland Security Act of 2002
This bill established the Department of Homeland Security [increased the size and scope of federal government] and enacts greater centralization of government agencies.

– Voted NO on HR 5441: Firearm Confiscation Prohibition Amendment
After hurricane Katrina hit the southeast united States, Blackwater [government contracted, civilian paramilitary] went through hundreds of homes confiscating firearms from victims who were merely protecting their property from looters. This bill proposed to pass an amendment prohibiting the use of any funds appropriated in the FY2007 Department of Homeland Security Act from being used to confiscate legal firearms during states of emergency or major disasters. [Clearly, Hillary Clinton does not want Americans to be able to defend themselves.]

– Voted YES on HR 1: No Child Left Behind Act
This bill stipulates that military recruiters have guaranteed access to school premises and pupils, and implements annual testing of students grades three through eight in reading and mathematics [the effect of which has emphasized teachers to teach according to the tests, and not overall knowledge]. The results have shown that the NCLB Act has done more harm to the education system than good. Most importantly, the NCLB Act established more federal oversight of state administered education.
– Voted YES on HR 5684: U.S.-Oman Free Trade Agreement Implementation
This bill authorizes the President to modify any tariff or duty on any goods, and establishes import relief programs for domestic industries harmed by resulting imports… in other words, it delegates congressional authority to the executive branch, and subsidizes businesses and corporations [uses your tax dollars to pay businesses harmed from government intervention of the free market].

Rudy Giuliani:


After the WTC towers fell, Mayor Giuliani ordered the remains of the victims to be scooped and dumped. "Mayor Giuliani's actions meant that firefighters and citizens who perished would either remain buried at ground zero forever, with no closure for families, or be removed like garbage and deposited at the Fresh Kills Landfill...Giuliani was more concerned about the removal of gold, silver and other assets of the Bank of Nova Scotia that was buried beneath the rubble than he was of human remains " When 15 firefighters protested the mayor's blatant disregard for the victims, Giuliani had them arrested. Also, the Civilian Complaint Review Board was established against Mayor Giuliani's protests. So after receiving 4000 complaints per year, for 5 years, he slashed the CCRB budget. [Guess Rudy doesn't want to hear any opposition.] Giuliani had Yasser Arafat thrown out of the Lincoln Center, removed NYC police commissioner William Bratton for speaking freely with reporters, and banned reporters, politicians, and interest groups from the steps of city hall — before September 11th!

Mitt Romney:


It appears to me that Romney is not what he seems. He changes his stance on issues as frequently as he changes his socks. Romney signed legislation that mandates that nearly all Massachusetts residents obtain health insurance coverage, sent a letter to each member of the U.S. Senate urging them to vote in favor of the Marriage Protection Act, and filed a bill to reinstate the death penalty in cases that include terrorism, the assassination of law enforcement officials and multiple killings.Romney proposed merging the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, the government agency that manages the Big Dig, with the Massachusetts Highway Department. Under Massachusetts law the Turnpike Authority is an independent agency that does not report to the governor. After being elected Governor, Romney called for the merger in 2003 and 2004. [Romney sought to control the MTA.]

Tommy Thompson:


While HHS Secretary, Thompson urged State legislatures to adopt the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act, which grants unprecedented and unchecked powers to the Governors of the 50 States. Under this Act, any Governor could appoint himself dictator by declaring a "public health emergency." He doesn't even have to consult anyone. As governor, Thompson racked up a reckless spending record and left residents with a $3.5 billion deficit as a going-away gift.

"Jim Gilmore believes marriage is the union of one man and one woman and as President will oppose gay marriage and so-called civil unions." Mr. Gilmore is also president of USA Secure, a homeland security public policy think tank based in Washington , DC. Former Governor Gilmore was Chairman of the Congressional Advisory Panel to Assess Domestic Response Capabilities for Terrorism Involving Weapons of Mass Destruction, also known as the "Gilmore Commission," established by Congress to assess federal, state, and local governments' capability to respond to the consequences of a terrorist attack. This Commission was very influential in developing the Department of Homeland Security.

John Cox:



[There is so little information about, and no voting record for, John Cox, that this is all I could find that might raise suspicion…]
In 1981 John H. Cox founded a law firm specializing in corporate law and tax planning named John H. Cox and Associates Ltd. In addition in 1985 he founded Cox Financial Group Ltd. which specializes in investment counseling, income tax planning, retirement planning and asset protection, in 1995 he founded Equity Property Management a real estate management firm specializing in apartment rental property. [Now, to me, it looks like Cox has strong ties to corporations, and would not do much to remove or diminish the crushing grip of the income tax.] So why not vote for him? No political experience. At all.

[Again, no voting record to base his actions, and very little information about him on the internet. From reading his views, he believes the government should be the answer to every question… just like the other candidates, he is a statist.]

Dr. Allen is a freemason veterinarian from Illinois who spent a few years in the Air Force, and a few years as a horseshoer. He has no political experience, supports the 'war on drugs', and supports the 'Fair Tax'.

Steve Adams (KY):


Adams is a software developer from Ohio who supports the Fair Tax, supports any legislation defining marriage as strictly between a man & a woman, would like to maintain & improve Social Security. [Again: No Political Experience]

David A. Koch (UT):


[There isn't much on Koch and Goldstein (his running mate) either… No voting record means I have to use their words:]
"We will NOT sit on the sidelines and let anything like Darfur or Rwanda happen while we are in office." [interventionist] "We believe that the best way to protect our Southern border is to help Mexico achieve stable economic growth for both countries, and their citizens." [perpetuate foreign aid — government handouts!] "We believe in encouraging and supporting the arts including full funding for PBS and the NEA" [supports government-sponsored media]

John Taylor Bowles (SC):


He is a Nazi… literally! "The White People's Candidate" promises free health care coverage [which means a huge increase in taxes!] and subscribes to the belief that "National Socialism declares its goal to be nothing less than the absolute domination of the White, civilized areas of the earth by the Aryan white man and the leadership of the Aryan white man by the strongest and wisest individuals of the race." [Come on… his campaign website has swastikas all over it! Who will really vote for this self-proclaimed Nazi?!]
