The Impact of K-Swift (R.I.P.)
Current mood:  sad
One of the best to ever do it in terms of dominating a region - not too many DJ's can say that and I'm referring to all the big dogs in the game too.
To be a female and to have that kind of impact has never been done in this business - point blank.
So many artists in Bmore mention that "nobody ever made it" when K-Swift was KILLING the game on the airwaves EVERY DAY.
Very hard worker, simply ahead of the game in a lot of ways.
I'm just wondering how does a music community move on from someone who defined it in so many ways. She really is bigger than life in Bmore.
I used to always say "If K-Swift went on the radio and told kids if they brought home straight A's they could spend a day with her, the Honor Roll would be off the charts". That's how I describe her impact with the YOUTH.
I can't name another DJ who simply was the pulse of the youth.
K-Swift truly is the Club Queen.
I'm still actually in shock over the news..... I was going through emails today and ran into the draft I had saved to set up the interview we were gonna do, and it hit me that it's not gonna happen.

South Carolina Music Awards is next up on deck as Indie Planet prepares a visit down to the Carolinas for the 2nd time in two months for the SC Music Awards.
