Tour = over
...And so ends a very strange and transformative tour. I'd like to thank everyone who came out to the shows, bought records or t-shirts, let me crash at their place, promoted the gigs, did sound, or pointed me in the direction of good record stores and bars. Psyched to have made so many new friends this time around. See yall next time.
Thanks Tovah for being my secretary-by-default, Ryko for the support along the way, Annie at Leafy Green for doing an excellent job booking this whole thing, Ingrid for going well beyond the call of duty, Christa and Christopher for their friendship at a most crucial time, Bingham, Andrew, Sean, TKC, The Cobbler, Chris and Emily for being friendly faces midway through that made me miss home, The Dutchess and the Duke for being rad and putting up with lotsa bullshit, and especially to Silver Jews and their crew for taking me on tour and being as warm, gracious and kind a bunch of individuals as any I've ever toured with.
As for me, several shows here and there coming up, including four at CMJ, and hopefully plans to finally head back overseas soon after far too long an absence. Also been writing and plotting the next album, which is already shaping up to include some truly amazing players. No rest for the goddamm wicked! Stay tuned and God bless.

Thanks Pitchfork!
Hey Pitchfork! Thanks for the awesome review! 4.1! That's out of four, right? No? Oh well, better 4 than 1, 2 or 3! Err...right?
Just a few things I should clear up, for future reference. Just a *few* little factual errors. No sweat.
1. I already opened for Bright Eyes -about three years ago. It was a good time.
2. Lee Ranaldo does not play on this record.
3. The lyric you quote from "The Dome" is "in the telephone zone" not "in the television zone." I see how you could have missed it, the line only appears in the song eight times. I know you guys are pretty busy and all poring over the minutiae of the latest reverb-soaked pop masterpiece, so no biggie.
4. No one really say 'alt country' anymore, dude.
Anyway, despite these minor oversights, thanks so much again! I'm currently working on an eclectic little jumble of a record I know you're going to enjoy. Imagine a more 'yallternative,' animal mask-clad Haircut 100 playing Hanoi Rocks when they were "good" - but with BEATS! My friend has a Dr. Rhythm and everything.
Gratefully,
Toth
