Matt from "Deadly Cinema" just gave me the sad news that Maila Nurmi (Vampira) has passed away at age 86. More here I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but always hoped our paths would cross at some point. She has been a huge inspiration in my career, and sparked my idea for creating the concept of my own horror hostess show. I was once in contact with her assistant back in 2000 after doing a tribute photo shoot to her. I heard he showed them to her and that she approved. For those of you who don't know, I portrayed her in an episode of my show Deadly Cinema. I also had the pleasure of being interviewed in the documentary about her Vampira: The Movie which if you are interested you can order from amazon. She will be sorely missed!!

Before Dixie, Luke & Laura split for Tease-o-Rama (www.teaseorama.com), come see us at our dear friend Atomic Todd's, we're we'll be celebrating two very special events: the 5th anniversary of Las Vegas' First Fridays art walk... and our on-going infiltration of Downtown LV's cultural corridor!

Hall of Fame curator DIXIE EVANS will be there, signing babies and kissing photos (I mean... uh... kissing babies and signing photos), along with the one and only TEMPEST STORM.
