Why no one ever hears from me anymore
Current mood: drained
So this place is my new life. I haven't had time to even tell everyone i love about it, but anyway, just go here to see what i do with 100% of my spare time. I'm running this place and it's going to be a very big deal someday. ADD US!
I'm so incredibly happy and meeting the most beautiful people at an alarming rate- every event, everytime i go out. I LOVE this CITY. I mean, it's no Fort Worth, i'll always miss cowtown, but there is a reason that people love austin and i finally have figgered it out. I found my niche. I found my new home.
now. i shall sleep. much more later.

post yoga thoughts .01
Current mood: blissful
post-yoga thoughts are always so enlightneing to me. Things that seemed so crazy complicated just 90 mins before are so simple and obvious.
Today a thought occured to me. In life one is always Working, Resting, Surviving or Searching. Its cyclical. Of course everyone's cycle is different as are everyone's goals and situations. It also seems that the peak of LIVING of really feeling alive is as one is transitioning from one stage to another. The moment when you realize you have been just trying to keep your head afloat or keep your electricity turned on transitions eventually into a levelness and an opportunity to search again. To find a purpose again. The awakening that comes just before work and after searching is very exciting and helps propel the work itself. Then you mill away, you work on a project or at your job or work at your family. After working the rewarding rush of a rest or recovery period is necessary and often unavoidable. I peresonally advise that one seek the recovery themselves to avoid a crash- at least creatively. No clue how any of this is relevant and i need to go shower anyway. But thanks for listening.

2) LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD (longest friend) - Well, i know who this IS NOT going to! So, i will say my dear Laura, Jarrod & Jason. This has been a year of rekindling friendships- i would have been very suprised of you had told me a year ago that at this time my social world would include Margo, Claire, Brandon Brown and Germ. But I like it. =)
3) NEWCOMER AWARD - NEWEST FRIEND? Arlington- Ivan, and the 'Shine folks- Shawn, Holly, Detroit, JSD Austin- Amy, William, Danielle, and my YellowTape friends. Newest best pal is Brandon.
3) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR? Buying my first car, 'Shel's Shorts', and Thanksgiving ( i love you baby!) and the Mike Doughty concert.
4) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR? Losing Crystal sucked a lot. Still does. When Isabel went missing was pretty horrible. My car/job/money/ bs. For being such a good year, i had a lot of really bad days.

10) 2007 VALENTINE? Danny, Jordan & Ed (...and Jeremy)
11) BEST RELATIONSHIP? Goodstuff.

14) BOOK OF THE YEAR? Lamb by Christopher Moore and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

16) BEST ACHEIVED GOAL OF 2007? i don't know if i achieved any goals this year actually.

1. You are not alone. You are walking in the woods. Who is with you? cameron, jill, matt 2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal? a centuar, a pretty big one
3. What ineraction takes place between you and the animal? he rears up high and nearly kicks me in the face, we back up and eventually calm him down and then he comes with us.
4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing, and before you is your dream house which is: tall, lots of floor to ceiling windows, wood floors, modern architecture but olf-fashioned decor and furniture insede
5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence? a hedge
6. You enter the house. You walk into the dining room and see the dining room table. What do you see on AND around it? onit are orchids and around it are my closest friends, and mum and jeana
7. You exit the house and a cup is on the ground, what kind is it? one of those awesome oversized wine glasses made with really thick glass, heavy

9. You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at a body of water, what is it? a very big, huge even, lake surrounded by trees
10. How will you cross the water ? i will drive over it.
After you copy and paste into a new bulletin, and answer ALL the questions above you can look down here. | | | | | | | v

my life's work
Current mood: fucking amazed and grateful
so, i go to write a bio for myself for Momentum productions website, (which BTW you should check out the new show's myspace page- they are my #1 friend) and i decide to say blah blah...jamie kinser has worked on ___ plays over the past almost ten years..blah blah, so i decided to make a quick list of every play i've ever done. i have a resume, but not a comprehensive list. and holy fucking shit i have done a lot of plays in a very short amount of time!!! 53 plays and at leat 15 scenes- thats like 5 plays a year, but seeing as how the first 3 years i did 3 plays- thats more like seven and a half plays a year. plus i have given myself breaks. this is not a brag thing, so 'nice job' comments aren't necessary. I'm just absolutley flabbergasted at this list. which i'm sure is incomplete, if you can think of a scene you were in with me, or something i've overlooked please let me know.
the thing about this list that really gets to me is the amount of people that i have worked with. My theatre family. I've learned everything from you. the amazing talent, the incredibly hard work, the assholes, the laughs, the thousands of audience members, the drunken cast parties that formed my social world, the programs & tickets, the venues, the fear, the forgotten lines, the happy accidents. so overwhelming.
and the very best thing about it is... i'm freaking 25! what is this list going to be like, what is my life going to look like, in ten or twenty or 60 years?
i fucking love theatre. amen.

Because everyone else is boring. And because you are different.
Current mood: dreaming
well, it's been a while since i blogg-ged, so here's some stuff.
Wikipedia is the best website on earth. close myspace and go to it now.
in light of yesterday's tragic events I spent the afternoon reading about similar past tragedies, the Mountain Meadows massacre, columbine, the UT shootings in the sixties, and the slew of Post Office shootings in the late eighties and ninties. it would be nice if any of us had much of anything to say about such an event, but what can you do but shake your head? everything is still hurtling through space and time, and we are along for this ride, so what can we do? we can't stop time, or even slow it down for war, genocide, and senseless tragedy, so... we just sit, read People, and hope it's not us next time. But Surely...surely there is something! even if it's a little something right... Well, what is it? what can we do to make this place even a tiny little bit better? Here's my big ol plan/theory/philosophy: Cause- obviously- the world is just as hideous as it is beatutiful. I feel strongly that if people were half as concerned with making others happy as we were making ourselves happy than this world may very well be alright. We must treat everyone- family, aquaintences, perfect fucking strangers, with respect. Who gives a rats twat if they aren't nice to you? be better than that. raise the bar. be polite. I, personally, love making strangers laugh. or just smiling at someone. If you can do something- a smile, a nice text, a sweet comment on someone's page, a donation- no matter how small- to a worthy cause (charity, an organization, or your broke-ass friend) do it!! Let's all spend some fucking time, making this world be a better place. Tell people you care about that you care about them. Stop fighting over stupid petty crap. Do not go to bed tonight until you have mended ties with someone. Look, my whole, big, hippie-tatsic point is that the thing- THE ONLY THING we CAN do for all of the people that died yesterday- in Virginia, in Darfur, in Juarez, in Iraq, in traffic, etc, is to truly live the life that you still have. To live yours, to appreciate yours, and to try to make others' better too. You can actually make a difference in the world, by taking the time to appreciate a pretty rainy afternoon, the smell in the air, another human being- because the departed cannot anymore.
oh, and an interesting tidbit from Wikipedia: >>>Researchers have found that the homicide rates per 100,000 workers at postal facilities were lower than at other workplaces. In major industries, the highest rate of 2.1 homicides per 100,000 workers was in retail. The next highest rate of 1.66 was in public administration, which includes police officers. The homicide rate for postal workers was 0.26 per 100,000. The most dangerous occupation: taxi driving, with a homicide rate of 31.54 per 100,000 workers.(However, not all murders on the job are directly comparable to "going postal". Taxi drivers, for example, are much more likely to be murdered by passengers than by their peers.)<<<
ok, what else?... oooh! i saw a fantastic film on sunday, The Science of Sleep. It is not like anything you've seen before, probably closest to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind than anything, but it's very much subtler (is that a word?) and more tender. Plus, it made me laugh a lot. I very much recommend it.
and IF YOU CAN...PLEASE come to the Rahr Brewery this SUNDAY from 3-6! for My work's EARTH DAY BENEFIT CONCERT, you can drink all the FREE RAHR BEER you want, hear the insanely talented, rockin Maren Morris play and sing, and all for only ten bucks. AND THE BEST PART is that the ten bucks, goes DIRECTLY to helping provide clean water for people all over the world, by digging wells, building bathing facilities, cleaning up contaminated rivers. It's 3 hours, ten bucks, free beer, awesome music and people, and saving the world. WHAT ARE YOU DOING BETTER THAN THAT from 3-6 on SUNDAY? honestly... = P
and don't forget that SHEL'S SHORTS opens the first weekend in MAY!!! MAY 4th! Have a good dinner, hear some kick-ass Shel tunes, support local artists, and most importantly- LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF. I promise. you will. now, i know that is probably not a smart thing for a director to do, but if you can sit through this evening without laughing- your an effing robot. and not a cool one, like Bender, a lame one, like my toaster. Bob Allen, Elizabeth Whittington, Jordan Cole, Lark Wallis, Seth Johnston, Matt Ducey, Luis Sapien, Gary Payne, Shawn "Detroit' Manning, Djemal Burris, and Billie Bryant. Awesome cast- doing a great job, funny shit. i swear. and an extra special thanks to Elizabeth Webb for being a rockin' ass Stage Manager.
And on a personal note, Life is great right now. I gotta go to court next week about the second time i went to jail, but then that will all be setteled. And I'm nuts about my wonderful boyfriend. And work is good. And i'm probably getting a part time thing at bass hall for some extra cash. And my Mum and Sisters are doing good. So... YEA FOR 2007.
WHEW. ok. I'm done. I should Blog more often...i got a little backed up and spewed out ten pages...sorry, but if you read it all, i will give you a cookie. there will be a quiz. peace.

humor thingy
My score on The'>http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=17565214125862764376">The 3 Variable Funny Test: style="font-size:18pt;font-weight:bold;">the Wit/> style="font-size:12pt">((71% dark, 38% spontaneous, 10% vulgar))/> your humor style:CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK
You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat. I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer.Your sense of humor takes the most thought to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.
You probably loved the Office. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check it out here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/.

i am available in many different worlds...
First off, we'll go with the actual me...

but wheres the fun in that?
If I lived in South Park

(note the tiny zombie)
then, i'm not sure where Zwinkies come from, but here's me as one of those zwinky thingies that are so popular with the kiddos these days...

and if your still in the mood for a little animated comedy, i will entertain you in Springfield as well...

and then if your still not sick of me, swing by Legoland and dig this hottie with an enormous Lego Beer!!...

Still though, after all of my world travels, drinking and smoking I still have time to be a bad-ass superhero and save the world from flesh eating zombies...

and i still love the puppies!
you should all try this it's fun. i wish i had time to make these for every friend i have!
