The Love Came Down at Christmas Tour 08 dates are finally in!

We are hitting the road this December with Sixpence none the Richer, Sara Groves, and Leeland, and are really excited to hit several of the places that we were not able to play last year on the Third Day Offerings tour.

The Love Came Down at Christmas tour is definitely going to be one that you don't want to miss. Expect an artful modern Christmas pageant with some of the most talented artists in Christian Music singing some of the most creative re-interpretations of Christmas classics as well as new Christmas Standards. The evening will feature unique collaborations that you won't be able to see anywhere else, and a rich unifying theme of contemplation of the miracle that Peace has entered into chaos and is continues to invade and haunt us still now 2000 years later.

Thanks to everyone who's supported us on the Music Builds tour this fall, and we can't wait to see you guys in December.

In fact last week we were in Houston, TX for the biggest night yet! And what was most cool was that all the proceeds for last night went to Hurricane Ike victims in the gulf area. 10/3 Change In Venue!

Dear friends,

We apoligize for the late notice, but due to the recent devastation from Hurricaine Ike, the show on Friday, October 3rd is now going to take place at the Berry Center. This particular show will be a special event hosted by KSBJ called, "Music Re-Builds Tour benefitting the Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund." Jars will hit the stage at 6:30pm, and the show will be broadcast live on KSBJ and locally on HTV and HCC-TV in Houston (check local listings in Houston area for station info). Money will be raised throughout the evening to help victims re-build and promote healing in the area.

Please note: Because of the change in venue and the nature of the show, we are NOT able to offer up the earlybird ticket deal available at other shows.

Very special ticket deal for all remaining MusicBuilds shows!

For all remaining MusicBuilds shows, except for September 25th in Phoenix we've arranged for a very special ticket deal for anyone who has not yet bought a ticket and comes out early to see our set. Aside from Phoenix on September 25th, we play at 6:00pm sharp each night, and want to try and get as many people out to see us as we possibly can.

The details:
- Arrive at the box office no later than 5:30pm to purchase tickets.
- Tell the box office representative, "I am here to see Jars of Clay".
- You will then be able to purchase a ticket at the special group rate price as an individual. This will be a typical savings of anywhere from $10-$100!
- Your seat will be located wherever the group seating is located.
- Again, this promotion only extends to people who have not yet bought tickets.

At all shows, the band will be doing autograph signings immediately following their set, so come out and say hi.

Here it is! Our new EP "Closer" is out now

We're proud to announce the release of our new EP "Closer!" Here's the scoop:

3 new songs - including the full track of the recently released as a sneak peak "Closer." A new song called "Safe to Land" and "Prisoner of Hope," which we used as end title credits to the movie "Sons of Lwala."

Also included are 2 favorites that we've re-worked. "Flood" and "Lovesong for a Savior" have been given new life with this re-recording. It's something we've wanted to do for some time, to give the songs some different production, while keeping the soul of the songs we've loved for many years now. We hope you dig the re-interpretations!



Lastly, check out the art work - it's a collaboration between our fine lead singer Dan and our extremely talented friend Christy Little who worked on the artwork for the "Christmas Songs" album. There are many lyrical nods to the song "Closer" in it - we're all fans.



So - go get some new Jars music! And hang on for the full length record to release in early '09!

New Song! "Closer"

Hey friends! Some exciting news.

We're into our second stretch of writing new material for our next record and we wanted to let you in on how it's going!

There will be a sneak peek, in the form of a new song! Look for the new song "Closer" on my birthday, July 8th, exclusively on iTunes! It's the only way to hear it early…

We worked on this song with the wonderful and talented Ron Aniello, who worked with us previously on Who We Are Instead and Good Monsters, too! This song will be included on an EP we'll have coming out soon. Along with some songs you've not heard yet will be two favorites of ours, "Flood" and "Lovesong For A Savior," that we've recorded again, and given a new sound to...

Lastly, we'll be selling that EP on the road in the late summer/early fall as we head out with 3rd Day, Switchfoot and Robert Randolph. We've gotten to know most of the folks that will be out with us, and we're looking forward to seeing how we all collaborate together. It's gonna be a great night on the "Music Builds Tour."
