Congratulations NEW YORK GIANTS Superbowl XLII 2008 Champions!
Current mood: blessed

Congratulations to my NEW YORK GIANTS Superbowl XLII 2008 Champions! I am finally writing this follow-up blog post after the Supebowl. What an amazing cinderella finish, it just kept getting more amazing as the latter weeks passed. Most folks are saying that the Eli to Tyree play was the best in Superbowl history, and I must agree as far as what I have watched! Eli drove me and everyone crazy all year long as usual, until the kid stepped up big time right before the playoffs and never looked back! What a special player he turned into huh, it does take time. I think this confidence will make Eli an elite NFL quarterback from now on.

I still can hardly believe that out of 32 NFL teams, my team won Superbowl XLII! I am very happy for Eli, Strahan & the whole D, running backs, Toomer & the receivers, all of the stellar rookies, Tom Coughlin & all the coaches, and just the whole team! No one can ever take it away from them... BRAVO!

My NEW YORK GIANTS are in SUPERBOWL XLII!...
Current mood: confident

No one thought it would happen, even myself, but the N.Y. Giants are going to face the N.E. Patriots in SUPERBOWL XLII! Brett Favre is my favorite all-time QB and it's too bad the story ended but hey. Also, I have loved everything that the Patriots have done this year. I'm not a Brady hater like everyone else, and I'm glad he broke the NFL record with 50 season tds. Like all of the coaches and commentators say, if you don't like the Patriots staying in to score tds, do something about it. End of conversation.

Most people have been against & doubted the Giants all season, and now that they knocked off the only team in the NFL that I hate - the Cowboys, and beat the Packers, everyone has to shut their traps. Eli has been frustrating for me to deal with, but he's done well and now he's in the big show. Congratulations N.Y. Giants, time to dance with destiny and beat the Patriots!

I saw drum genius Terry Bozzio’s clinic last night!
Current mood: productive

I saw drum genius Terry Bozzio's clinic last night at the Downtown Brewery! I knew that he was one of the world's drum masters yet I did not know that he is a genius! I can't describe how amazing it was all I can say is that he has maybe the largest, custom trap drum set on the planet and here's the kicker: he uses every bit of it! Look at my pics for a shot of it. Here's info from his Wikipedia page:

"Like Hall of Fame drummer Gary Chester, Bozzio is noted for creating the melodic ostinato for the drum set. In most of Bozzio's works the ostinato is played using various bass drum and hi-hat permutations while he solos against these rhythms using his hands. Like Chester, Bozzio developed the application for the melodic ostinato for drum set when he noticed how a pianist would solo or play counter rhythms against the ostinato. He then applied this concept to the drum set.

Bozzio is also noted for creating orchestral compositions on the drum set by playing polyrhythms and polymeter while utilizing his large custom Drum Workshop kit, in which the tom toms are tuned to specific notes to create the atmosphere that is Bozzio's signature sound. Terry Bozzio's influence has been seen in some of the most prominent drummers of today including Marco Minnemann, Thomas Lang, and Mike Mangini.

Bozzio's influence is becoming a more prominent force as modern day drummers are seeking to break the barriers of the traditional grooving drummer to the drummer that takes a more prominent role as the leader of a band, a position that in westernized music has been dominated by the guitar."

Two cosmic connections between me & Buckethead...
Current mood: jubilant

Here are two cosmic connections between me & Buckethead... Dude!!! Not to sound lame but a guy I know that did some work on Buckethead's home a few years ago said I look a lot like him... with the exception that I'm 5'8. That was when I had just barely gotten into Buckethead. Not only is Buckethead my favorite musician, but I just found out today that he has the same birthday as my older brother Mark who just turned 40 (Buckethead is younger) on October 7th!!! What an awesome trip! I can't wait to see Buckethead live! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HALLOWEEN & OCTOBER FUN BUCKETHEAD!!!

N.Y. Giants tie NFL record 12 sacks on Donovan McNabb yesterday!
Current mood: satisfied

Yeah! My 1-2 record N.Y. Giants tied the NFL record with 12 sacks on Donovan McNabb yesterday, and rose to a 2-2 record! Also, Michael Strahan passed Lawrence Taylor's team record with 133 1/2 sacks, and DE Osi Umenyiora tied for 2nd on the NFL record with 6 sacks in the game! Not only did my good bro & rival Eagles fan Bubba's team lose, but we played head-tohead in Fantasy football and he lost that too and I will continue to be 1st place in our 12 team league with a 4-0! yahoooo!!! Ahh, such simple fun.

Last night/this morning I saw the legendary punk band: THE FREEZE!
Current mood: tired
Category: Music

Last night/this morning my buddy Jason and I charged up to Santa Cruz and saw one of my favorite bands of all time: the legendary Boston punk band THE FREEZE! I luckally found out they were playing here in CA just days before the show after catching a glimpse of their Myspace bulletin. The best thing this site has done for me!

I slammed in the pit the whole show with a lot or big motherfuckers, and shoved them around and manhandled them equally. No dickheads, yet it was pretty thick n' burly. Ahh, just like old times! I got sorta banged up a little yet not too bad. I mostly had control of an extra mic they gave to the front of the crowd and I could here myself belting out "Trouble If You Hide" over the monitors with Clif Hanger - yeah! The Freeze had a couple emergency members filling in and they still RULED!

What can I say? I got to see one of my all-time favorite bands, sing on a mic, chill & talk after the show with one of my heroes Clif Hanger, and fulfill a dream of seeing this band live since I was like 19 years old! What an excellent Friday night! Hopefully I can get a hold of some of the camcorder footage of the show...
