Here's this week's silliness from the Maker's Mark News Network. Salient point - Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska. John McCain is older than Alaska. Heh.
Maker's Mark is having some fun with the upcoming presidential election by predicting the winner with limited edition bottle sales. (Plus they're making some funny videos to go along with it.) Check it out, go vote for your favorite bottle and see where the register to vote bus will stop near you.
Once a lark, my idea of Twit2Fit is now a full-fledged social network. If you need support in your fitness and wellness activity and would like to give it as well, come join us. You don't have to be a member of Twitter, though that's where the community thrives. You just have to have a positive spirit and a desire to get fit!
My What A Long Time It Has Been
Current mood: busy
Category: Blogging
Hey Friends. I know, I know ... it's been way too long since I've blogged here or updated anyone on what's happening. Nancy and I are four weeks away from welcoming Katie Falls to the world. We're scheduled for induction on May 6 (gestational diabetes, same with Grant, no problems) and Momma and baby are both doing well. Grant is excited to have a baby sister and even helped his Poppa paint Katie's room.
Meanwhile, I've has about as busy and strange a six month period as I've ever had. My blog (http://www.socialmediaexplorer.com) has become quite recognized around the online marketing and social media world. I've learned a great deal about managing and promoting a blog in th process. Frankly, I'd love it if, like Facebook, MySpace would allow me to use my RSS feed from SocialMediaExplorer.com to populate my blog here, that way you could all read my pithy expertise. But if that happened, I'd be less apt to share personal stuff here.
(Like I've been sharing personal stuff here in the first place.)
My new role (not really new anymore) as a social media (blogging, social networking, etc.) advisor to the clients of my agency has become overwhelming. We're to the point of having to bring on additional help and I've become quite popular with new clients and in demand from current ones, so the busy has been good.
And in the midst of all this, I've been asked to help on a book project with a couple other social media geeks. We're hoping to publish in September of this year. Not sure how much of a role I'm going to have moving forward with a new baby on the way, but I've contributed quite a bit already.
Just had a few spare moments and thought I'd say hello to my MySpace gang. I miss you guys (or at least the ones of you who aren't on Facebook or Twitter with me) and wanted to say "hey."
And if you miss the funny ... checkout Friday's With Falls on The Daily Idea (http://www.dailyidea.tv). I'm still kickin' it.
Come find me on Twitter.com. It's a great way to keep up with folks and grow your network of friends, and blog readers. I'm on Facebook as well. And while I'll never truly leave MySpace, my stops here are less frequent as you know.
Pregnancy Update
Current mood: thankful

Hey all! I haven't been visiting MySpace as much lately. I'm sorry about that. But I did want to check in and let everyone know some news.
Nancy and I are expecting our second child May 15. (That, you may have known.) But today we found out we're having a girl. So, provided all continues to go well (and the baby is healthy as can be, though Nancy has gestational diabetes again), Kathryn Ann Falls will be here in the spring time.
We'll call her Katie.
Just a note to let you know. Hope all is well.
Frankly, I've become more active on Facebook if you want to come find me. I'm also on Twitter a lot.
Why do we link to people, sites, etc.?

If you blog or pass links along to friends, etc., please go check out my poll posted atSocialMediaExplorer.com. I'd like your vote to see why it is that people link to sites, friends, blog posts, etc.
