New Interview: Elske McCain...
Current mood: blissful
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Okay, gang, I have what you've been wanting! Even if you haven't realized it, trust me - you've been wanting this. How could you not? Oh, what is it you've been wanting, you ask? I'll tell you: A wonderful new interview with the lovely, talented Elske McCain. That's what.

I mean, Elske is not only gorgeous...she's smart. I know! And she knows her horror, people. Any woman that not only loves Devil Dog: The Hound of Hell but is also best buds with Tiffany Shepis, well, she's OK in my book. Yours too, I'm willing to bet.

So go forth and read my conversation with Elske. She's a great lady and a first-class horror nerd...just like you!

Post-Ike...
Current mood: aroused
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Hi guys, I'm here for my first post-Ike post. (See how I did that? Now that is writing, my friends.) I survived the storm just fine. A few loose fence boards, a couple downed trees. Nothing a chainsaw can't fix. But I want to thank everyone that checked in with me to make sure I was all right. It truly does mean a lot. Thanks!

Now, I'll leave you with this. I've finally caught up with one of the people I was supposed to interview...and the chat is in the can, so to speak. It will be up for your reading pleasure soon. I'll be back in a day or so to give you the details. But until then, I'll leave you with a hint:

Disappointed Much?
Current mood: bummed
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Wow, what an eye-opener! My blog has been viewed 60 times this week. I've got 25 subscribers. And I've had 4 comments. Yikes. These are all small numbers all. I sooooooo appreciate the comments from my Loyal Four!

But 60 people have read a blog that asked for interaction...and only four of them comment? That makes me sad - not for me, but for the interwebnet. Oh well...they had their chance, right? FYI, comments do not close. Please feel free...

Okay, as you can see, most people want to stroll down memory lane with me and see what still works and what doesn't. I am putting that plan into effect now. You will soon have some new opinions on movies that I seem to have loved several years ago. Also, at least one of my interview subjects has gotten in touch with me to promise she did NOT forget I existed (isn't she sweet to lie like that?).

We in the Houston area are hunkering down and survivng Hurricane Ike this weekend. So, if all goes well and I don't lose power, there should be some serious movie-watching going down.

As Heidi says, "Auf Wiedersehen."

I’m Working on It, People...Sheesh!
Current mood: frustrated
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Okay, guys, I'd planned to have a couple of new interviews ready for y'all by now, but my subjects are proving somewhat elusive, I'm afraid. But I shall steal their thoughts soon enough, my pretties. And when I do (and I will), they will be presented to you with a startling alacrity...well, startling for me anyway.

Oh well, the best laid plans of mice and men, right? Huh, what does that even mean? Hmmm, I guess I should stop writing now. I am actually starting to think about what I'm saying, and that can't be good for any of us. Soon, I promise...

Oh, here's something. I'm thinking about ideas for a series of movie reviews. Tell me which most appeals to you:

(1) Overlooked Gems - Reviews of good films that have been forgotten about or have been, well, overlooked.

...or...

(2) That Was a Great Movie...Wasn't It? - Reviews of flicks I saw years ago that I remember as being amazing. But as we all know, the film that's amazing at 15 is often painful at 30.

Come on, people. Let me know what you want. It'll be fun! Like those story books where you get to determine the plot. Well, sorta like those. Hell, I'll even take requests. I did it for 25 years as a musician; I don't see why I can't do it as a writer. The trick is, y'all have to actually tell me what you want. Get involved, people! This is your chance to make a difference in the world...and it won't cost you a cent.

Current mood: productive
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Wow, has it been six months already? Sheesh, it has. Well, I'm back now, baby, and I've posted a new review at Fatally-Yours.com for The Seer, a TV pilot created by Linda Andersson. It stars Deborah Stewart, Michelle Tomlinson and Landall Goolsby. Go check it out and marvel at my tale of self-discovery...oh yeah, read about The Seer too.

I'll be back pretty soon - really! I already have a couple of interviews in the works, and Halloween is just around the corner, so you know I have something brewing for that.

New Interviews...
Current mood: busy
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Okay, guys - here's a quick one.

I have two great new interviews up at ScreamTV:

First, my choice for leading man of the future, Joshua Benton.  Josh stars in Brain Dead, Kevin Tenney's new flick.  He's great in it, and he was as much fun to talk to as he was to watch onscreen.

Second, that gorgeous living dead girl Shannon Lark.  Shannon is trying to make us all look bad.  How?  By doing everything in the world, all the time.  This chick just never quits - dancing, acting, directing, writing, editing, producing...and she looks great covered in blood.  'Nuff said.

I have a couple of reviews coming as well...really!  I swear.  Until then, enjoy the interviews and we'll speak again soon...

My Interview With Horror Legend Kevin S. Tenney...
Current mood: excited
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

As you already know from my previous posts, director Kevin S. Tenney, the master reponsible for such classics as Witchboard and Night of the Demons, has a new movie coming out soon.  It's called Brain Dead, and it's great.  It's definitely the most fun I've had at the movies in quite a long time, as you can read in my review here.

Now for the big news:

Although he's in the middle of putting the finishing touches on Brain Dead, Kevin was nice enough to take a break from his hectic schedule and do an interview with me.  Can you believe it?  Me interviewing Kevin S. Tenney?

This was really exciting for me, and I have to thank the wonderful Michelle Tomlinson for hooking me up (thanks, Michelle!).  Kevin was a great interview - gracious, intelligent, and funny.  Please head over to ScreamTV and take a few minutes to check it out.

I'll be back soon with some more cool interviews, as well as some reviews of films of varying quality...

DeadHouse...
Current mood: tired
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Just a quick note to let you know that my review of DeadHouse is up over at Fatally-Yours.com.

As you will read, DeadHouse is a bit of a stinker.  I've certainly seen my fair share of them lately, eh?  No need to thank me.  It's what I do.  I ask not your pity...just your undying loyalty.  That might sound like a lot, but trust me, after watching Slaughtered, it's not too much to ask.

I'll be back soon with some interviews and reviews.  Until then, validate me with your comments...
