Bob's Parking
There's this parking lot by the corner of 8th and James Robertson Parkway that I pass often on my way to and fro. I think it's run by an old man named Bob. At least that's what one of the signs says.
"Bob's Parking".
I think he's probably at least 70 years old. What's interesting about Bob, I noticed the other day, is that Bob walks around with a silver 6 shooter strapped to his hip in a nice cowboy western type holster. He has a slow, determined walk, and a slight stoop to his back and shoulders. His arms usually brushing his hips as he moves to greet his customers.
And then that got me thinking. I think Bob charges around $10 a car to park there for the day as a lot of people who use that lot work downtown and need all day parking (I'll save my sermon on the evils of no public transit for later). There's probably room for at least 50 cars to park there. And it's always full. That's $500 a day and $2500 a week Bob's making! All for walking around his little parking area with his six shooter. And he also has a nice little shed setup for himself with a TV and other amenities. And I think he also sells things like candy and such from his little shed.
It'd be nice to be Bob.

Initials
You know, I just read a blog and they signed it with their initials, rp. I can't ever do that. Everyone will think I'm a rapper. It looks stupid. Sucks for me. Maybe I'll do it this once. . .
