THE LAST LECTURE.... Living In The Now!
Current mood: pure
Category: Life
So I was just getting things done on my few days I have off to play catch up with all the little things that need to be done in life... Ya know: laundry, cleaning, paying bills, getting settled in my new place.... ya I actually moved a few weeks ago and it’s just woderful... and planning the day to make the most of it and everything in between so I can have the day I want.
Well, my best friend emailed me this link to an episode on Oprah about a man with Pancreotic Cancer who will be dying in about two months and he had gone around speaking to others about "Living your Dreams".
It’s called "The Last Lecture". I wanted to share it with all of you because it touched, moved and inspried me. It’s what I needed today and now I am sharing it with you!
It’s on my page, but here is the direct link for you to watch it. It’s 10 minutes of your day but a lifetime of wisdom...
I got up this morning at 6:30am and since I finally had a day to myself, I forced myself to get my butt up and out of my place and go hiking. Hiking clears my mind, excersises my body and fills my soul!
So I just wanted to share with you what I found on the top of Runyon Canyon.
Finding Peace on The Mountain Top... By: jennifer vazquez
(Writien with a tiny pencil on two yellow stickies taken out of my black fanny bag on the top of Runyon Canyon.)
When you think your journey’s just begun verses when the true path to your existance makes itself known; That is the journey, and that revelation is the calm that follows you around for the rest of your life, in spurts of course, because life is all about spurts. You can’t be on fire 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You need the space to breathe all of it in. Once we get that, we are able to be loving, forgiving, understanding and kind to ourselves and to others.
Does the sky plan the beauty it creates? Do the trees sway in the breeze wondering what others will think or wondering if they are doing it right? Do the flowers blossom for a reason or are they just going through the phases of their life with acceptance till there is no more.
If all that surrounds us in the universe can get along and accept exactly what is, then why can’t we?
Surrender your mask. Accept your baggage and don’t use it as a crutch. And be the voice inside that keeps saying, "I Am Powerful Beyond Measure." And ignore the "BUT....I’m too afraid, I’m not smart enough, I can’t make it happen" that seems to follow after it!
Choose your life and create your own storybook and stop apologizing for who you are! Now that is Power!

LONE PINE
So the 10,000 download goal date is here. Thank you so much for those of you who have downloaded "Lone Pine" and gave me your feedback. It means a lot to me.
For those of you guys and gals who haven't chosen to download "Lone Pine" yet, there are 24 hours left until the goal date ends. While you can download my new single, "Lone Pine", anytime you want to, I set this goal for a specific reason. As an artist coming out with new songs, I want to know that you guys want those songs, and the only way I know that is if you buy them.
This download goal has been an experiment and while I know this is trial and error, I guess I am wondering why so many of you who have been a part of my journey for years and write to me all the time cheering me on, are not going and downloading a brand new song I spend months working on for you guys. I would love feedback from all of you who haven't done so yet. What is stopping you? Please share your thoughts because you do not realize how valuable your opinion is on this topic of downloading. Especially today in the music industry.
The only way I can realistically come out with more songs is if I know there is a demand for them. I know you guys are out there, so help me see the light! Share your thoughts with me.
