- wonderful rosie thomas and denison witmer live, in the arms of a beautiful boy, who incidentally is madly in love with rosie now
- maria taylor and boy omega live on a sleepy sunday night with about 30 others
- built to spill live (awesome!) and a new pretty t-shirt!
- membership on last.fm along with the madly obsession of having every sound scrobbled
- mental disorder of choice due to grading (reccuring)
- a lot of but too little sleep
- a few afternoons in the sun with beer and good friends
- a renewed interest in photography

and i'm insanely tired, _all the time_. june 15 is the last day of work. june 22 i'm off to france. sweet vacation.

i woke up at 10 am and couldn't sleep longer. not as hungover as i thought i'd be. at 28, i've finally learnt the way my body reacts to alcohol and how to prevent it (however small amounts you've drunk, make sure to eat something before bed or you'll throw up in the morning). it's hard to be cool. i'm on leave for 10 days starting today, because the students have their easter break. so we had a small party for the colleagues yesterday, the sun was shining and it was nice. it's always the same colleagues that shows up for these things though. and i'm not the one dancing on the tables. luckily.

i'm bored. i've read today's newspaper (that i get everyday nowadays thanks to the lover). i've checked my mail. i've read my favorite blogs. i've had breakfast. i've finished recording the mixtape (see below). i've made my second cup of coffee. it's 12.44 pm, saturday. now what?

the lover is away taking a collage admissions test today. he's applying for collage this fall. i'm so happy for him. he moved in last week.

i've compiled a mixtape for a friend, a real mixtape this time, not a burnt cd-r. i'd forgotten how much 2 times 45 minutes is. but i'm very pleased. it's the first mixtape i've made for him so it's filled with personal favorites. the theme, except personal favorites, is pre2000/post2000. or old music for old people/new music for old people (but considering that mr receiver is 23 it's not that funny). track list:

i'm sitting listening to alphaville's forever young album and thinking about summers. i listened to it alot when my family was on vaccation in spain back in 90 and 91. for some strange reason my dad had it so i'd taped it (oh sweet days of vinyl lps and real tapes). i think that's why i associate it with summers. and the summer in berlin reference. anyway.

it's possibly been the worst winter of my life. i keep saying it's getting better, and it is. now i can smile to people and mean it. but there's so much, i can't even get myself to write about it. i go to my therapist every other week. she helps me work wonders. and i couldn't have stayed sane and sober without the lover.

i can't write. the sun is shining.

i'm sick.

i was home from work monday and tuesday, went yesterday and it worked, although i was very tired last night. then today i went and had to go home again after a lesson and a half cos i thought i would fall over i was so exhausted. my head hurts, my body is exhausted (eventhough i haven't done anything physical other than riding my bike very slowly), i feel strange and dizzy and a bit sick to my stomach. i'm trying to cure whatever it is with sleep and food. and chocolate.
