portfolio redesign!

It's been a long time coming, but I finally redesigned my site. I was fond of the "bee" theme so I stuck with that, but I put it in a format that was more conducive to displaying the different things that I do and not just the web stuff. I think I ironed out all the kinks, but please let me know if you have any problems or encounter any errors.

a warning for my peeps...

This lady from portfolios.com has been harassing me via phone and e-mail for about a week, so I finally asked her for some real data on the success rates freelancers had with the site. Instead of answering the question, she left me a condescending 5-minute-long voicemail and treated me like I didn't know what marketing was.

My favorite part is where she mentions that even McDonald's does marketing. I suspected this site was shady to begin with, but the voicemail sealed it. Sorry for the poor sound quality, but I thought it was important to get it out there and warn others about the site. Feel free to pass on far and wide... I have more bandwidth than god. :)

wedding invitations for Stinky

My sister is getting married in a few months and my present to her is that I'm making her wedding invitations.
Below are the test ideas that I came up with - they picked the first 2. (click for bigger versions in a new window)

	This is the one going to my sister's side.
	Her fiancee is Scottish and will be wearing a kilt in the wedding, so I looked up his tartan.
	I found a vine punch which I used for the cut-out on the invitation. The part on the envelope is glued on, though.
	Cherry blossom stickers: about the only pink I can stand.
	I found some mulit-layered stickers that looked really awesome, too.
