Cat’s and Dog’s
Current mood: awake
Category: Writing and Poetry
An amazing song from the ole' band Gorilla Bicuits that say's it nice and poetically for Vegan-animal ethics. The only thing is I have 2 pets. : )
Gorilla Biscuits Cats and Dogs Lyrics
Man's best friend is beautiful and affectionate, an ideal pet. Cats are the same, we make up their names and our love for them is real. Listen up, I gotta ask you, how can we be so cruel? You say you care, that's a lie. My true compassion is for all living things and not just the ones who are cute so I do what I can. I wanna save lives and I've got a plan.
Under the table he'll eat your dinner like the veggies we can't stand. What kind of meal would he make? We don't want to ask it. Tradition is all that keeps him alive. Listen up, I gotta ask how can we be so cruel? You say you care, that's a lie. My true compassion is for all living things and not just the ones who are cute so I do what I can. I wanna save lives and I've got a plan.
Why am I so upset. Don't even own a pet. I am not trying to press my will. I am not the first to say... THOU SHALT NOT KILL
Full is all you want to feel. We eat to stay alive, but it's their lives we steal. I think we'd like to change, but most of us are stuck, that's why cats and dogs have ALL THE LUCK

Almost time for litter clean ups
Almost time for litter clean ups in a few of my favorite places. Niawanda riverview overlook area (which I started last year), and the Niagara Gorge.
Both places lack the labor and funding through the park employees to do the job, I know for a fact that’s the case for the Niagara Gorge, so I’m doing it. I plan on getting a big litter clean up crew mixed in with a good hike sometime this summer... of cousre I have been saying this for a few years now and never gather bodies for the event, I just go do it myself. We’ll see.

William Garret
Category: Podcast
William Garret put out a podcast in 2005-2006, probably my favorite. It hasn’t been updated in 2 years now, the last post he did was in the Spring of 2006 of a video of "Sammy the Goose". He put out an interesting podcast of his personal thoughts and everyday life, mostly along the shores of Lake Ivanhoe talking to Sammy the goose, or driving his biodiesel van and recording a thunderstorm. His true life diary-like podcast were from his home in Orlando Florida (or that was his home at the time) I liked him because he was an honest fellow who loved animals and stood up an organic, envirnmental, vegatarian lifesyle. I guess I listened after he "stopped" his podcast, and I have no idea why he stopped, other wise I would have emailed him a long time ago and we would have had correspondance. I’m not trying to stalk the guy, but I’ve done some internet searches and cannot find him in particular, his podcast email no longer functions. I wish I knew what happened to him.
If anyone knows of William Garret, let me know...
William Garret, if your out there, stop and say hello, send me a few words...
His site is still up and running. http://www.orangeavenue.net/green/

Bike Trip blog moved to Crazyguyonabike.com.
When I had knee surgery, I had an unrealistic ambition that I'd write this whole thing out while I was unable to do anything mobil. I got through a 3rd of it... now that I've been back to reality for a while I found that I can only do a little at a time. If I ever finish this blog book journal, it'll now be on Crazy Guy on a Bike.com. I guess it's just easier to put it here, and more appropriate considering it's a site dedicated to just that.
Here is the link if your still interested. http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/2502
