Jimahl to do Spirit Communication Workshop in Salem MA
Sunday October 19th 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. SPIRIT COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP with Jimahl di Fiosa Ever since that strange little kid in THE SIXTH SENSE uttered those spooky words "I see dead people" popular culture has been fascinated with the concept of spirit communication. Is it really possible to communicate with those who have passed from the world of the living to the other side? Many of us seem to think so, but the question that remains is how? Join Medium Jimahl di Fiosa, author of the critically acclaimed book A VOICE IN THE FOREST, Spirit Communications with Alex Sanders and the soon to be released TALK TO ME, When The Dead Speak To The Living as he attempts to demystify the concept of spirit communication. Jimahl shares simple methods that anyone can use to communicate with those who are no longer incarnate. Explore various techniques in a safe and supportive environment including the use of a spirit board and automatic writing. What would you ask the dead if you could hear them speak? Bring along your own spirit board board and let's discover the answers together. This workshop is not a lecture but an interactive experience. Attendees will try their hands at both the spirit board and automatic writing Initiated into the Alexandrian Tradition of Witchcraft in 1988, a major turning point in his life, Jimahl di Fiosa's interest in the occult spans many years. He has devoted his spiritual path to exploring the mysteries of the Goddess and to the preservation of the Craft for future generations. His areas of special interest include spiritualism, tarot, ceremonial magick and he also has a strong connection to the folklore and mystery of the Maya. Jimahl is the author of the critically acclaimed book A VOICE IN THE FOREST, Spirit Conversations with Alex Sanders and the soon to be released TALK TO ME, When The Dead Speak To The Living. There is a $15.00 entrance donation per person to attend this workshop and all proceeds will go to The Temple of Nine Wells - ATC.

TOGETHERNESS
One word – deceptive in its simplicity
Is it just me? Over the past several years I've noticed that the Craft community has been seeing more and more division in our ranks. Although it's probably an exaggeration to think that we were ever one big happy family of pagan brothers and sisters, I have to say that I can't remember any other point in my 20 plus years of Craft involvement when I've seen so many open displays of animosity toward each other. Witch wars on the internet have reached epic proportions. It seems that someone somewhere is always slamming someone else. One tradition is better than another. My BOS is better than yours or bigger than yours or written on more expensive paper. My teacher can kick your teacher's butt. Whether public or private, more and more pagans are too busy beating the crap out of each other to see how far from the garden we have wondered.
Have we abandoned any sense of commonality by raising flags of dissent between our camps? Are the demarcations between our traditions healthy or are they by their very nature tools of our own destruction. Have we forgotten what history has taught us – "a house divided against itself cannot stand," "a great civilization is not destroyed from the outside but from the inside." One only has to look at the track record of Christianity for a practical lesson in what doesn't work.
Perhaps I'm being naïve but I can still envision a pagan world in which we all just get along. The foundation of our success has to lay in embracing diversity, not division. Perhaps the road ahead for all of us would be smoother if we stopped focusing on what makes us different and started remembering what makes us the same. We have waited a long time for the Craft to be illuminated by a global spotlight of recognition. What was once a "mom and pop" fringe religion has finally become one of the fastest growing religions in the world. But when the spotlight finally shines on us, what will it reveal?
If we must divide at all, let's divide into two camps – those who can make magick and those who can't. If there are any who can't make magick who want to learn, let's teach them – quickly.
Because something wicked this way comes – a time, a place, some thing - when all of the magic makers will be needed. Let's put our houses in order now so that when we are called to duty we will be ready. .

Witchcrafting Podcast
I do a lot of publicity for my book A VOICE IN THE FOREST, Spirit Conversations with Alex Sanders. Most of the opportunities presented occur in the US. But recently I was contacted by Karagan, host of a podcast from Portugal and invited to do his show. I had the most incredible experience - Karagan is a true personality - intelligent, articulate, and passionate about all things pagan. Check him out at the URL below.
