it's cold outside.

It's 21 below zero outside at 10:00 and going down to 40 below toniight. Trust me, that's freaking cold. I went to Aspen this weekend to visit friends and on the way over it started a blizzard. Driving was amazingingly difficult over McClure pass. I could see about 50 feet infornt of me and this on a trecherous mountatin pass with very dangerous drop-offs and a notable lack of guardrails. Up ahead I could see anohter set of tailights, but too far ahead to really use to follow. I pressed hard and focused in order to close the gap between us so I could follow him and eventually I made it. Just as I got within comfortable range he pulled over to let me pass so he could follow me! DRAT! So lead I did and though traveling at about 20 mph I finally made it.

The next morning and 19 inches later all was forgiven. The skiing was epic. powder up to me thighs all day long and the next day too. These are the days we live for in the mountains.

Opps I forgot to Blog

I sort of forgot that I could blog here. Skied today, second day of the season in Crested Butte - beautiful day, and the snow was pretty darn good. Last weekend I was sailing in Ft.Worth - my first J22 race, we did badly but not last place.

It was a beautiful day and night in Crested Butte, a good day for a paradigm shift.
