Man this Gangbang is awkward...
Category: Writing and Poetry
This is a repost of a friends work, and I thought it was waaaaay tooo funny to not let others read it. This is NOT ORIGINAL nor from me! I just thought it was good :)
Thanks Puck of Kindread!
Oh man. How did I talk myself into this? This was not a good idea.
What am I supposed to be doing right now? Should I be doing something? She looks pretty occupied currently. She's already handling three dudes. I guess I'll just stand here and stroke it some more. Keep your head together Mike. Your time will come. Man this gangbang is awkward!
This seemed like it would be awesome. It always looked so cool in the videos. But all this waiting and watching is really uncomfortable.
I figured I'd just sort of fall into a natural rhythm and find my groove, but I've gotta admit that I am really perplexed as to the proper gangbang protocol here.
Whoa. She just looked at me. Does that mean she wants me to come up there so she can suck me off? Maybe that's what she's indicating. But what if she didn't mean that? What if I go up there and shove my junk in her face and she doesn't want anything to do with it? I'd look like a real horse's ass then. I'd better just wait here.
Man this guy's taking a long time. Come on dude, who are you trying to impress here? There are other guys waiting.
Look at that guy's penis! It's way bigger then mine. Thicker at least. I hope I don't have to follow him. She won't even know I'm in there.
Oh man, he caught me staring at it. Well that's just great. Now he's gonna think I'm queer. I'm not queer man. I'm just a little self conscious. God this is awkward.
It's too hot in here.
These guys are all saying sexy things to her. I'm the only one who's not talking dirty. I should say something so that they don't think I'm lame. Here goes....
"Yeah, you like that bitch!"
Shit. That was stupid. Now everyone's looking at me like I'm some misogynistic asshole.
I am an asshole. Why did I have to say the most cliché, demeaning thing I could think of? Like I need to remind her that she "likes that". Smooth move dumbass.
I wonder why she's doing this. I'll bet she had a bad childhood. She probably lacked a strong paternal figure in her life.
Damn it. Now I'm half mast. Now I look like the guy that can't keep it up. Concentrate Mike. Stop psychoanalyzing and keep your mind on the sex.
Okay here we go, that guy's done. About time. Should I go now? I've waited long enough, I'm going in there.
Damn it. The Italian guy beat me to it. I was here way before the Italian guy. How are we determining who's turn it is here anyways? Was there some sign up sheet I missed or something? Damn it.
Steady Mike old boy. There's plenty for everyone. Just wait it out. Deep breaths.
I hope no one tries to go anal when I'm taking my turn. I'm not real cool with my stuff touching another guy's stuff. And I think that would be unavoidable. That would be really awkward.
Something in here stinks. Is that me? I hope it's not me. Oh man, I hope it's not her! Wait, no, it's the Italian guy. Thank God.
Okay, time to make your move Mike. I've gotta get in there and mix it up. Other wise I'm that creep at the gangbang who's just watching and beating off. You've gotta be in it to win it. Okay here goes.
Wait, what's going on? Everyone's finishing off on her! We're climaxing already? We just got started! I haven't even gone yet!
Okay stay calm Mike. No one knows that. Just finish yourself off so that you're not the odd man out.
Well this was great. This was just great. A red letter day in my sad sexual history. And what am I supposed to do now? Do we all hang around for a while and talk about it? Where should I clean up?
God this is awkward.

Ann Pelo, Building Anger at the Preschool level.
Current mood: shocked
Category: News and Politics
Some of you may not know who Ann Pelo is, for me, I first heard some spatterings from her a while back, but nothing that got my attention. Then, in 2000 she decided to publish a book- there's a lot of radical left wing extremist who do this so it wasn't really a big deal to me... Then I heard what it was about. Are we this disassociated with what our children need?
That's Not Fair!: A Teacher's Guide to Activism With Young Children
Okay, the title itself should be the first clue as to what this is going to entail. I first saw this book at, of all places, a library. I picked it up and was immediately naseauted. I opened it randomly, and after shuffling through some pages, hit page 106, where she talks about the Blue Angels.
It seems she was in the park, educating her pre school students, when the Blue Angels flew overhead, practicing.
"Those are Navy airplanes," Pelo told the kids. "They're built for war, but right now, there is no war, so the pilots learn how to do fancy tricks in their planes." This seemed good enough for the kids, but, Pelo wouldn't let it rest. The next day she had them "communicate" their feelings about the Blue Angels.
Now, I don't know about you, but, if that's "all" she said to them, then the feelings might not have been so abhorrent, but... she practically GUSHED that they drew pictures with planes, with big X's through them. They drew bomb factories with big "NO's" on them. "Respect our words, Blue Angels, Respect kids' words. Don't kill people"...
WHOOOAAAAA.. back it up here... you're going to tell me that PRE SCHOOL kids who can't even wipe their asses are capable of coming up with this????
I couldn't believe it, seriously. Who, in their right or wrong mind, would do that to kids. I remember watching the Blue Angels at a Kalamazoo Airshow when I was really young. I remember thinking how incredible and skilled they were. How daring, I didn't even know they were Navy pilots at the time. No clue. Had that been me, the pictures would have been much different and wouldn't have intoned war or bomb factories. The words "killing" and "bombing" had to come from somewhere.
We need to stand up and take a look at the people educating our kids, because we have a problem and this type of thought is just the beginning. Are we so concerned with pushing our ideas and agendas that we will USE preschool kids to do it?
Sad fucking world, and Ann Pelo is making it much worse.

Soon, the truth will be out there... and the "religion" of global warming will stop.
Current mood: apathetic
John Coleman, the founder of "The Weather Channel" wrote this on November 7 2007 about Global Warming
By John Coleman
It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create an allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the "research" to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.
Environmental extremists, notable politicians among them, then teamed up with movie, media and other liberal, environmentalist journalists to create this wild "scientific" scenario of the civilization threatening environmental consequences from Global Warming unless we adhere to their radical agenda. Now their ridiculous manipulated science has been accepted as fact and become a cornerstone issue for CNN, CBS, NBC, the Democratic Political Party, the Governor of California, school teachers and, in many cases, well informed but very gullible environmentally conscientious citizens. Only one reporter at ABC has been allowed to counter the Global Warming frenzy with one 15 minute documentary segment.
I do not oppose environmentalism. I do not oppose the political positions of either party. However, Global Warming, i.e. Climate Change, is not about environmentalism or politics. It is not a religion. It is not something you "believe in." It is science; the science of meteorology. This is my field of life-long expertise. And I am telling you Global Warming is a non-event, a manufactured crisis and a total scam. I say this knowing you probably won't believe a me, a mere TV weatherman, challenging a Nobel Prize, Academy Award and Emmy Award winning former Vice President of United States. So be it.
I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril. I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming.
In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious. As the temperature rises, polar ice cap melting, coastal flooding and super storm pattern all fail to occur as predicted everyone will come to realize we have been duped. The sky is not falling. And, natural cycles and drifts in climate are as much if not more responsible for any climate changes underway. I strongly believe that the next twenty years are equally as likely to see a cooling trend as they are to see a warming trend.

We have reached a new low....
I was bouncing around the groups the other day and checked on out. One of the Bulletins had a fellow plugging his book. Like I've never seen that before, anyway.... his "plug" was a bit different.
"Support our troops!" was the slogan, and under it was a few paragraphs of flag waving (you know the drill, someone who obviously doesn't give a shit pretending to) followed up by "send a copy of my book to the troops, go here"...
Whoa... Back-up. Send a copy of your Fantasy themed kids novel to the troops? How patriotic can one person be! (this was sarcasm for those of you who don't know).
Anyway, I won't publicize this person or his stupid pitch, but, it just struck me as a bit irritating and pretty low...
Maybe I should start a "Buy my book and I'll donate 1% of sales to the "Save the Whales" foundation!

My world of Online Gaming
Current mood: thoughtful
Category: Games
I remember the day I first got hooked. Was simple enough,I was playing some RPG that I had picked up and there was a free trial offer for a game called "The Realm".
I loaded it up, got my 28k connection to my ISP (blazing fast for the time) and created a character. I wandered from frame to frame greeting new people, literally hundreds of people were on the same server. It was amazing, anyone I knew could game with me.
Since that day I have made a number of online friends, gaming friends, who I will probably keep forever. The Realm holds a special place in my heart, because it was the first of what would turn into many MMORPG's that I would wander into.
The graphics were poor (it was 2d) and the game play was turn based, but, it was my home for more than 2 years. I could group with friends and run dungeons or PVP (player vs. player). My heart still skips a beat when I think of those PVP battles that we waged. If you died, you drop gear (some which took months to acquire) as well as levels. One death in PVP could set you back a week of leveling time.
Like all things, though, my desire for bigger and better pushed me on to new games. I scoffed at Ultima only because all the elite snob PVP'ers were playing it. I didn't like the game because if you lagged (when your connection was slowed) you could easily die. That, to me, wasn't skill, that was luck. People preyed on lag in that game. I liked the turn based Realm where strategy was key. But, in the end, the graphics of Everquest captured my attention.
Everquest was the next step in the evolution. A 3d rendered game (which required a new video card) that was real time. It was amazing, captivating. I was taken to a new world and it was in 3d. I could say, literally, "it's about 400 feet beyond the burned cottage" and people would be able to visualize it. I played Everquest for a long time, longer than I should have, probably, but, it was that good. To this day I don't think any games have compared to Everquest or the Realm.
I tried everything that came out since Everquest and I will rate them below.
The Realm: Revolutionary. The first MUD with a GUI. 9/10
Everquest: First 3d Game. Very entertaining and fun. I still remember the first time I stepped into North Karana. Amazing game. 9/10
Asherons Call: Good game, but, lacked a lot of content early on. I didn't like the bouncing graphics or the bugs of the game. This came out about 9 months after Everquest and never measured up for me. I gave it a 5/10
Dark Age of Camelot: I loved this when it first arrived. It was brilliant, 3 factions all fighting against one another. Safe places to level. The game was a lot of fun when it first came out, but, soon the expansions started to come out. In the beginning, anyone could PVP and be competitive but it soon got into a grind fest. If you didn't grind for the gear and the rewards, you suffered in PVP. Pretty soon the top players were the ones who could spend the most time in game. Too bad they ran off most of their player base doing this. I give this one a 7/10
Horizons: Great concept poorly done. Great classes and skill system, even the crafting system was somewhat fun but, overall, tedious. I never could really get into this one even though I played it a few months. I give this one a 4/10
Shadowbane: Probably the best concept of all the games I've played, but, the poor graphics and horrible engine ruined the game. It was a point click 3rd person game. This in itself isn't bad, what made it bad was the engine. Lag was horrible and there were a lot of bugs. But, game play, overall, was amazing. You could start up your own towns, defend them, fight for territory. All in all, a great concept that was poorly developed. Concept, I give a 9/10, but, overall a 4/10
Lineage 2: Not worth my time to even discuss. Level Grind extraordinaire. 1/10
Asherons Call 2: See Asherons Call 1 but add more graphics and more lag. I played about a month before the graphics lag got to me. 4/10
Everquest 2: Fun game with a lot of good ideas, but, no PVP which really turned me off. The combat was somewhat intuitive but I didn't like the graphics. They are somewhat sluggish (even with a top end machine). The questing was very good with this game as is the vendor system. Not as good as the original but a very good game overall. 7/10
World of Warcraft: Questing and soloability of this are 2nd to none. This is by far the best game I have played in recent years. The graphics are smooth and vibrant. Textures are wonderful. Leveling isn't a chore and PVP content is very well done. This is a great game with no downside. Classes, although not completely balanced, are fun and complete. 9/10
I can't say where the next stage in the evolution of the MMORPG will be, but, I do know that I'll be right there for it when it happens.
PS, I did not include Ultima Online because the game mechanics encouraged hacking/ lag pvp and became a haven for tweens who wanted to show the world how ubar they were. The game itself was fun, but, it became somewhat tedious and boring very quickly. Too much macro'ing and I couldn't get into it.

Goerge Carlin, Words of Wisdom
Current mood: contemplative
Category: News and Politics
I have never totally agreed with everything I hear, I'm always a skeptic. But, I love George because he tells you what he is thinking, right or wrong. I personnaly thing he is right in this case.
YES, I'M A BAD AMERICAN by: George Carlin
I Am Your Worst Nightmare. I am a BAD American. I am George Carlin.
I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some mid level governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!
I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!
I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.
I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.
I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.
I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to... /B>
My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.
I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.
I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing about it.
I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I haven't burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.
I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to w! here you came from and change your own country! This is AMERICA .
I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution. Can I get an AMEN on that one?
I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry rear if you're running from them..
I also think they have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.
And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think it's good..... and I'm proud that "God" is written on my money.
I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.
I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making "donations" to their cause.
I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.
And what is going on with gas prices... again?
I believe "illegal" is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.
I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA !
If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I'm a BAD American.
If you are a BAD American too, please forward this to everyone you know. We want our country back!
We NEED GOD BACK IN OUR COUNTRY!
I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, Than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.

We don’t want these people back in the White House
Current mood: annoyed
Category: News and Politics
You've probably seen something like this before. Here is another "reminder"...
Bill Clinton registers for the draft on September 08, 1964, accepting all contractual conditions of registering for the draft. Selective Service Number 326 46 228
Bill Clinton classified 2-S on November 17, 1964
Bill Clinton reclassified 1A on March 20, 1968.
Bill Clinton ordered to report for induction on July 28, 1969.
Bill Clinton refuses to report and is not inducted into the military.
Bill Clinton reclassified 1D after enlisting in the United States Army Reserves on August 07, 1969, under authority of Col. E. Holmes.
Clinton signs enlistment papers and takes oath of enlistment.
Bill Clinton fails to report to his duty station at the University of Arkansas ROTC, September 1969.
Bill Clinton reclassified 1A on October 30, 1969, as enlistment with Army Reserves is revoked by Colonel E. Holmes and Clinton now AWOL and Subject to arrest under Public Law 90-40 (2) (a) registrant who has failed to report...remain liable for induction.
Bill Clinton's birth date lottery number is 311, drawn December 1, 1969 But anyone who has already been ordered to report for induction is INELIGIBLE!
Bill Clinton runs for Congress (1974), while a fugitive from justice under Public Law 90-40.
After a long relationship over many years, Bill married Hillary Rodham, who failed the bar exam in Mass., but did pass it in Arkansas???
Bill Clinton runs for Arkansas Attorney General (1976), while a fugitive from justice.
Bill Clinton receives pardon on January 21, 1977 from President Carter.
Bill Clinton FIRST PARDONED FEDERAL FELON ever to serve as President of the United States.
All these facts come from Freedom of Information requests, public laws, and various books that have been published, and have not been refuted by Clinton.
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, this killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. Sailors. Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
If Clinton had kept those promises 3,000 people in New York and Washington, DC that are now dead would be alive today.
AN INTERESTING QUESTION:
This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show. Without casting stones, it is a legitimate question.
There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars to charity.
The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why was it that the Clinton Administration spent more money chasing down Bill Gates during his eight years in office, than chasing down Osama bin Laden?
It is a strange turn of events. Hillary got $8 Million for her memoir. Bill got about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be written. Their blind trust is estimated to be at least $25 million. This from two people who spent 8 years being unable to remember anything about past events while under oath.
Sincerely,
Cdr. Hamilton McWhorter USN (ret)
P.S. Please forward this to as many people as you can! We don't want this woman to even THINK about running for President. We don't want these people back in the White House!

Prologue to Book 1, Repost
Category: Writing and Poetry
I'm reposting the prologue since it's buried. Every writer should have something in their blog that displays their writing style. Here you go--- Sorry about any formatting abnormalities. Some things don't convert from Word.
Darian eyed the mouth of the cave. It seemed ordinary enough. He'd seen hundreds just like it on his long journey eastward through the mountains. This one, he knew, was different.
Snow and ice leaked down from the great mass of rock above and formed a column through the center of the opening. Darian bent down and checked the snow around the mouth. He frowned as his eyes searched the ground all around the cave entrance. He wiped away a few inches of the fresh powder, down to the hard snow beneath. His frown deepened to a scowl. He saw no tracks. The lord of his people – the Synriae – was somewhere within, but where were the sentries? Where was his guard? Darian knew the Synriae was strong with the Source, the strongest of all his people, but it was foolish to leave him unguarded. He shook his head as he entered.
The inside was nothing less than Darian expected. Supports and braces held up the roughly cut walls and ceiling; the wooden reinforcements were spaced less than twenty feet apart. A thatched torch burned on each brace, the black smoke disappearing as it blended into the rock ceiling.
Darian tried not to pay attention to his surroundings. He didn't like being in this hole in the ground. He could feel the rock's pressure on his temples, pushing and drumming into his head. Sweat began to bead on his brow.
He wiped the back of a gloved hand across his forehead to clear away the perspiration. The rough leather tore over his pale skin and left a streak of black in its wake. He sniffed as he removed his thick riding cloak; it had suddenly become warm inside the dark halls, uncomfortably warm.
He wished he were back out on the plains, back in the midst of the fight. At least there, he thought as he folded the cloak over his arm, he could rationalize his fears and deal with them. It was simple enough; when a sword came at your head, you ducked. When tons of rock came crashing down on you, there was no way to escape.
As he walked, Darian dusted himself off. He was so preoccupied with his task that he almost didn't notice when the light dimmed and the hall before him turned to darkness. He stopped and squinted through the black cloud. He could barely make out the outline of a door. His journey had finally come to an end.
Darian stood before the door, motionless. He could hear the flicker of the torches behind him.
"You seek an audience with your Lord?" a voice from the darkness asked. Darian's head jerked to his right, surprised by the voice. He could only manage to nod as he peered through the darkness to the figure that lay within.
The figure took a step forward. He knew Darian studied him and allowed the Jyniaen soldier a better look.
Darian's eyes went down the guard's body to the blade he wore at his hip, then back up to a thin, expressionless face. Darian's jaw tightened and the cloak he held dropped as he reached for his sword. His hand stopped before it could grasp the wire grip, his instinct to fight overcome by common sense.
"I've come from Bre Alt," Darian whispered through clenched teeth. "I've a message for the Synriae."
The Rydi guard seemed aware of only Darian's presence, not his demeanor. "I will tell him you're here," the Rydi said, then turned and faded into the darkness.
Darian watched him go, stood motionless until he heard the door open and the click of the latch as it closed. He had no idea of how to react to what he'd just seen. The Rydi were the most adept and fearless warriors known. They were also his enemy. The Rydi fought only to die. In their twisted, warped minds it was an honor to die in battle, and they thought it was the same for their enemies. There was no mercy, no prisoners. If you fought the Rydi, you fought until they were destroyed, or you were.
"Your Lord awaits," the Rydi said as he stepped through the door.
Darian took a quick breath to steady himself, and then strode into the room, the Rydi forgotten before the door could shut behind him.
He took the entire room at a glance, more from habit and training than curiosity. The room was circular, about fifty feet in diameter and came up to a point at the ceiling more than thirty feet overhead. The place was lit by white light that seemed to come from the ceiling. It was a pleasant change from the torches in the corridor. To his left and right there were large wooden tables. Large sheets of parchment, maps most likely, littered the surface of the tables. Directly in front of him on the other side of the room there was a large hearth and fire. Two high-backed chairs faced the blaze.
"Come and join me by the fire, Darian," a voice from behind one of the chairs beckoned.
Although the Synriae's back was to him, Darian nodded and crossed the room. There was only carpet between him and the fire and his footfalls were sucked into it, only silence followed in his wake.
He sat in the chair beside the Synriae. From his angle, Darian could see only his Lord's profile.
The Synriae sat in silence and Darian did nothing to change that. Although nervous, he was content to sit for a while. It had been many days since he had left, and in all that time he had yet to rest. It felt good to just sit there and enjoy the fire.
Just as Darian began to relax the light that came from the ceiling began to dim, then faded away to nothing. He looked over to the Synriae. His Lord seemed oblivious to the change.
"We're going to lose this war, Darian," the Synriae said, his once pallid features now bronzed with the light of the fire.
The Synriae, Logan, turned to face Darian for the first time. Although Darian could not read the eyes of the Rydi who guarded his Lord, he had no trouble in reading what lay behind Logan's eyes. There was acceptance, and Darian knew his Lord spoke the truth.
Darian's gaze dropped from his Synriae's and his head fell. He shook it slowly. All of his adult life had been spent warring. Fighting to keep what the other races took and each day losing more and more ground. He had never thought about losing before, never considered it, because losing meant the end of his people. It meant the death of the Jyniae.
"We've retreated, yes, but that doesn't mean we are going to lose..."
"Foolish boy," Logan said, his voice hard. "The war was lost as soon as they pushed us into this accursed land." Logan stood and faced the fire; the flames seemed to rise with his anger. "The Humans and Aanians have us running north as fast as our wagons will take us and those who can't keep up are cut down. There is a trail of Jyniaen blood from Dania to the mountain pass of Bre Alt!"
By the time Logan finished, his voice was so loud that it hurt Darian's ears. He found that he was cringing back in his chair. His hands gripped the armrest so tightly that the muscles cramped. He pulled his hands away and began to rub them together to loosen them.
Logan turned back to face him. What Darian had seen in his Synriae earlier faded, replaced with a passion the young Jyniaen commander had never known. He had seen others who had that passion before, in those who had seen too much horror, too much killing, and had been driven to madness by it.
The Synriae moved towards Darian and knelt in front of his chair. Although his voice seemed to gain some composure it still carried his intensity. "Our fight is finished for now, Darian, but it is far from over."
* * *
Long into the night the Synriae spoke and Darian tried to absorb all he was told. He might not have been a mage like his Lord, but he understood well enough what it was that his Synriae wanted from him.
When Logan finished, he turned from Darian and a Rydi appeared. The Rydi guard showed him out of the room. Darian followed silently as the Rydi led him back to the main corridor. They walked for a while, then branched off through a passage that he hadn't seen on his way through.
They moved through the dark corridor without speaking until at last they came to a door. The Rydi stopped beside it and waited. Darian knew this would be where he would spend what remained of the night.
Before Darian opened the door, he looked to his Rydi guide. "You heard what he said in there. You think he's crazed?"
The Rydi shrugged. "I know little and care even less for your people's magic. On the morrow the Rydi will ride from this place and go to the battlefield. We will find our place in the heavens."
Darian looked down at him for a moment, unsure of how to respond. In the end he could only nod as he walked through the door then shut it behind him. He was too tired to worry about the Rydi and their desire to battle their way to death. Instead, he made his way to his bed. Without removing any of his clothing he lay back and attempted to find sleep.
As he lay there, he thought about his Synriae and what he intended to do. It was madness, he knew, but in that madness there was a strange kind of hope. Hope for the Jyniae. Hope for the future of his people.

So, who did I piss off this time?
Current mood: aggravated
Category: Writing and Poetry
So, I check Barnes and Noble, and see I've gotten a review, a terrible review.
Now, this I can handle. I have no problems because I know that someone is not going to like it, it's just the way it is. The more I read the review, the more I realize, this person didn't read the book, they just read the reviews, and made something up.
The thing is, I know the person who wrote the review didn't buy it on Barnes and Noble (I track those sales) and they posted the review there because you can remain anonymous. They went out of their way to post a review on a site that they didn't buy the book from because they didn't want to use their real name on Amazon.
Accountability, there is none on Barnes and Noble. I'm not fretting, soon that review will be buried and forgotten, just like the person who put it there. I'm just curious why someone would bother to do that? (any thoughts?)
The one thing that stood out on the review was:
I do not recommend this book to anyone until Mr. Lawson hires a better editor and gets out from under his self published title.
Okay, now I KNOW this is just someone trying to smear me. 2 reasons.
1. I had 2 of the best editors you can get, no doubt in my mind. Say what you will about the book, it's probably the best edited book I've seen in a long time. I even have done a LOT of editing. No, this was a well edited piece.
2. Self published? Once again, it appears to be someone that has no clue about me or the industry. Which is okay, but, it somewhat validates my point that whomever posted it, didn't read it.
It's frustrating that anyone can come along and post a review on the Barnes and Noble site, and the sad thing is I believe they can do it over and over again. What a terrible set up they have over there.
