Inside sources deny that this is an indication that Johnny Gruesome will select Misty Mundae as his running mate. While Misty starred in PLAY-MATE OF THE APES, that doesn't [i]necessarily[/i] mean that she's qualified to compete with Senator Palin in a beauty contest.

JOHNNY GRUESOME to Announce VP Running Mate

The independent, Zombie Reform Party candidate is expected to announce the identity of his Vice Presidential running mate sometime in the next 24 hours, to detract from the fervor surrounding John McCain's speech tonight and to capitalize on the weekend news cycle. He's under a great deal of pressure to select someone as qualified as John McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin.
Gruesome's campaign faltered somewhat when a book about his life (and death) experiences was published in January. Unfortunately, it was published as a small press, Limited Edition Hardcover (39 copies are still available: http://www.badmoonbooks.com/product.php?productid=839&cat=0&page=3&featured), which meant that only a maximum of 250 people (plus an undetermined number who paid for ARCs...) could get to know the candidate and his positions.
"What can I say?" Gruesome said. "I liked the pretty pictures."
After a campaign shakeup, it was announced that Medallion Press will publish JOHNNY GRUESOME as an affordable Trade Paperback on October 1st (Only $10.85 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Johnny-Gruesome-Gregory-Lamberson/dp/1934755451/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1220553928&sr=8-1), which the candidate believes will be enough time to get his message across.
