Sweet Scent
Current mood: bored
Category: Writing and Poetry

Sweet Scent

I bow to you

my lovely lady.

You fill me

full of delight.

The sweet scent

of your love

overcomes all that's

wrong with the world tonight.

Dream, dream,

I'll always care

though I'm just

a lost memory in a crowd.

Dream, dream,

I'll always be there

even though I'm

no longer around.

I bow to you

my lovely lady.

Alas I must

make my leave.

You'll always be

in my heart my love

though it stopped

beating this quiet eve.

Dream, dream,

I'll always care

though I'm just

a lost memory in a crowd.

Dream, dream,

I'll always be there

even though I'm

no longer around.

Lost Dreams
Current mood: relaxed
Category: Writing and Poetry

Well I was wrong boys & girls. Here I was relaxing watching TV & this poem hit me like a ton of bricks just now. Wasn't planning on it, wasn't thinking of it but here it is. My parting piece before I go to Orlando for a 2 week vacation this coming Monday.

Lost Dreams

Chasing ghosts so long,

forgot what I was looking for.

Dreaming so much,

I lost my way.

Blind man

walking without a stick.

Bumping into

ones thoughts.

My longing expectations

circling around me,

like a system of planets

orbiting a sun.

Unable to reach

the goal of my life.

It laughs and

taunts me at every turn.

Can't remember the reason

why I desired it.

Now just an obsession,

a dream without a cause,

a tree without roots,

a structure without foundation,

a love filled with false hopes.

Tides of Life
Current mood: mellow
Category: Writing and Poetry

Hello all. This is my final poem for now. I'm in the middle of changing my life, going on vacation soon & to be honest I just don't feel like writing. Hope you all like it & see you later.

Tides of Life

You don't have to worry about me.

I'm okay now.

The tide has swept all

my problems away.

Now I lay back

and contemplate

all that I've seen

and done.

Why it turned out the way it did,

mistakes that I should have avoided.

decisions which steered me to the wrong path.

… irrelevant now.

Let the nectar of the sea cleanse my woes.

Let the water wash the errors,

the faults,

the failures.

Now I truly lay back

and contemplate

as the riptides come

and take my body to a purer plain.

The Note
Current mood: happy
Category: Writing and Poetry

Yes I'm alive & well. Saw my friend play in one of the bands she's in last Sunday and she looked so happy while performing that it inspired this little poem.

The Note

The beauty of the note

rests in her eyes.

Playing a tune

with a passionate smile.

A song for the ages,

a muse for my words.

A lovely lady

sharing her musical world.

I Wonder
Current mood: good
Category: Writing and Poetry

I Wonder

In an alternate universe

I became everything that I wanted to be.

Sure would like to visit him

and ask how he accomplished it.

Then I'd come back to my world

and take his advice.

I wonder what the results would be?

Interesting don't you think?

A Question of Reality
Current mood: tired
Category: Writing and Poetry

A Question of Reality

The empty wishes

of a mad man

get no where fast.

The solitude

of ones dreams

never last.

Reality always

seems to get

in the way.

It all seems disturbing

so chuck it all

and just live for today.

The Broadcast
Current mood: good

Inspired by Orson Welles' 1938 broadcast of "War of the Worlds" which was intended to be a Halloween prank! On October 30th, 1938, he directed the Mercury Theatre On the Air in a dramatization of "War of the Worlds", based on the H. G. Wells novel. Setting the events in then-contemporary locations (The "landing spot" for the Martian invasion, Grover's Mill, New Jersey, was chosen at random with a New Jersey road map) and dramatizing it in the style of a musical program interrupted by news bulletins, complete with eye-witness accounts, it caused a nationwide panic, with many listeners fully convinced that the Earth was being invaded by Mars. The next day, Welles publicly apologized. While many lawsuits were filed against both Welles and the CBS radio network, all were dismissed. The incident is mentioned in textbook accounts of mass hysteria and the delusions of crowds.*

The Broadcast

We sat around the radio

shivering in fear.

Waiting for the invasion,

felt the creatures were near.

People panicking

running wild in the streets.

Looking for loved ones

wondering if they'll ever meet.

Cities being destroyed,

the flying saucers killing all.

Orson telling us

our civilization was to fall.

Father had his gun,

mother just cried.

Sister prayed

and I wondered why?

The Martians never came.

Separate Rooms
Current mood: awake

Separate Rooms

You don't need to be perfect,

the idea is absurd.

All I ask is honesty

and the hope of a better

tomorrow with you.

If you can't open up to me,

there's no future for us.

We cannot be one

in separate rooms.

I stand here reaching out.

All you have to do

is come to me

and touch my hand.

White Hat
Current mood: full
Category: Writing and Poetry

White Hat

Daddy's little girl lost

was finally found.

There was a bullet

found in her skull.

Nobody told her life

would be this bad.

Now she's at peace.

The murderer was

her final date,

but it turned out

to be his mistake.

The serial killer

was finally caught.

Now he's gone.

I make love to

my bottle of scotch.

Laughing sadly at all of

the madness about.

Thank God I have

the ability to write

so it won't be forgotten.

Sometimes I have the urge

to eat a gun,

pop too many pills

or even drown,

but then I remember…

The hero in the white hat

must always win.

To fight the ugliness

that has been.

To kick the demons in the face

and make people remember…

I take another drink

and write some more,

about the killers, rapists,

thieves and dealers who score

and maybe one day

the good will get them all

and we'll have, peace, love,

…and white hats.

Suger N’ Spice
Current mood: good
Category: Writing and Poetry

Like all good horror movie franchises they never really end. Let's just say Garbage Bags was a daddy & had a sweet little girl... muah ha ha ha!!!

Sugar N' Spice

Come out and play

just for one day

and I promise you

lots of fun.

I'll crush your spine

and blow up your mind

as you cry,

scream and shout.

Come out and play

just for today

and I guarantee

you'll never forget.

I'll rip out your eyes;

skin you alive

while your friends

run away.

Come out and play

and I'll yell out hooray

and you'll

never be bored my friend.

Like daddy I am

though a small little gal

imagine how I'll be

when I'm grown.
