Hey Guys
Well lots of stuffs been happening. I wanted to write this to you myself becuz you all have been so great to me. I cant believe how many of you have entered the contest just to win a phone call from me. I love all of your pictures and I wish I could call you all. You Street Team Leaders are just the best team leaders in the world and also the best friends. Thanks for everything you do. Okay so besides the call me contest, ummm there will finally be new photos coming soon. I have to get up early in the morning to be at the studio for my first "official" photo shoot in almost a year with On Track photography. I worked with them the first time when I was like six years old and so thats pretty cool. Other stuff, well I played in my first coffee house tonite and it wasn't suppose to be a show just some live vid but then the people seemed to like it and I ended up playin some of my favorites too. Hope you check out the video on my MySpace or thats the other new thing I wanted to tell ya bout. There is now an "OFFICIAL" fan site where you will only be able to find certain videos, pictures and other stuff. The URL is www.jorrintylerworldwide.com which I really liked that they picked that name. My favorite artists are the ones who take their music all over the world and don't just stay here in the US. I love playing here but I love my fans everywhere and can't wait to be able to make a trip overseas. So thanks to the best Internet Radio Station in the world FHR Radio www.fhrradio.com for making a site that welcomes all my fans around the world. Which brings me to another thing. Wow!!! I sooo love getting all the messages from everywhere here on MySpace. Gotta admit it is getting harder to read them all every day but I am still doing it. Hopefully I can always do that at least I promise I will always try. Last but not least, Thursday Nights Live with Jorrin Tyler (me, cuz I feel weird saying that) anyway the show has been moved to a new network called STICKAM. So hopefully you guys will come see me there this Thursday at 9 p.m. central time and oh yeah, you don't need an account to watch the show but if you wanna chat with me at half-time you will need to sign up for an account. But its free and so is the show. My channel is www.../jorrintyler So thats it for now guys and talk to you soon.

(A) "Well it's pretty much that I really just get this song. I mean Rob Thomas is like a brilliant songwriter for sure. But what he says in this song is what my life has been the last couple months since they said my dad had cancer. It's weird. Everyday is weird. It was like life was just movin along normal and we were goin to shows, I was playin music, dad was doin bookings helpin backstage... huh ha I guess he was bein my roadie. Now everything is completely different. Nobody really gets it, but nothin is the same. 3 a.m. oh man...huh, nobody's sleepin when dad's sick.
(Q) Your mom told us you talked about one part of the song in particular when you were in the studio. What was it?
(A) Oh yeah the raincoat part? Thats my dad cuz he's always the one who says "son put your coat on." It's hard. I mean things, well you know, you want things to just go back to normal. When the song says her voice is straining, that part too.
(Q) What would you tell someone else your age who just found out a parent or family member has cancer?
(A) Be prepared for a long freaky road. Ummm... Well first be strong, my dad says that. Stay strong cuz you might see a lot of bad things. Sometimes you might just have to sit there by the bed or whatever. It still helps.
(Q) Have you talked to Rob about the song and what it has meant to you?
(A) Not yet.
(Q) In the song 3 a.m. Rob Thomas is singing about his mother, and you are singing about your dad. How come you didn't change the lyrics from "she said" to "he said"?
(A) Respect.
(Q) What do you mean?
(A) When an artist writes a song it should stay the same even though my take on it is different. Those are words he wrote about his experience with his mom and I didn't want to change anything. I still thought about my dad the whole time
(Q) You are really an acoustic guy, but this song obviously has special meaning. What do you want people to know when they listen to you perform the song 3 a.m.?
(A) That they don't have to think of it they way I am. But, it was really cool for me when I found out why Rob Thomas wrote the song and how he went through the exact same thing when he was my age cuz most people don't get that. The first time I heard the song I knew what he was singing about. But really the best part of the whole thing is that his mom is okay now. That's what I want with my dad.
(Q) This is the second Rob Thomas song you've recorded. Do you consider yourself a country artist?
(A) Yeah I do. I mean country is a lot of different things. Pretty much if a song talks about real life and sounds good performed as an acoustic huh (chuckles) it always goes back to the acoustic thing for me, but anyway that's country to me.
(Q) Is it true that there's something unique about what we hear when we listen to your recordings?
(A) Yep. All the instruments and vocals are me, even the back-up vocals. I hate the sound of karaoke. Actually I have a hard time singing without my guitar.
(Q) Did we hear right that you are taking a college course this year?
(A) Yeah! I'm taking a music course at the university next semester.
