It was a really difficult decision. All the entries were fantastic. But Hazel Mermelstein seemed to whoop everyone else.
The reason I chose Hazel Mermelstein is because it's really fun to say, AND most importantly it gives an inanimate object a quirky personality. I look forward to telling people "This is my trusty easel, Hazel Mermelstein.". I can't wait to go to a live painting gig and someone yells out "HAZEL MERMELSTEIN IN DA HOUSE!!!!" It's gonna be rad.
