Bear Lake
Current mood: sleepy

Bear Lake is located in Rocky Mountain National Park.  There is hiking trails and a trail around the lake. We took the trail around the lake. It was a beautiful morning. Earlier in the week it had snowed so there was remains of the snow and a little bit of ice on the trail. You could actually see the bottom of the lake. It was that clear. Did not see any fish. There was a chipmunk on one of the rocks looking for handouts. We did get a couple of pics of him begging. I will Post them at a later date need to do some editing so you can actually see him better. There is pictures of Bear Lake posted in my pics. More pics to come stay tuned and more blogs kind of jumped ahead. The Wedding day blog will take some time to write so have to wait a little longer. Also there is a pic of shawn and i at the lake. Still people out there that will take your pic and not run off with the camera.

Friday September 21

What a morning

I am up at 5:30am looking for my camera. Needless to say it took me until 7am and the only place i did not look was in the food bag for the trip and there it was. So i wasted several hours looking for it. Oh well. so i finished packing. That was so confusing a bag for my parents house, bag for the weddng night and a bag for the honeymoon and a bag for the wedding day. What a mess of confusion.

I headed into town to finish picking up stuff for the wedding and the trip.

Thanks to my Aunt and cousins i had my first manicure. The gal told me to relax and enjoy the manicure. It was great. The biggest challenge was deciding on what color to paint them. I wanted burgandy but decided on white. As she finshes polishing them. She states that they will not be dry all the way for an hour. So what am i going to do for an hour??????? I pick up lunch and head for the lake and set for an hour relaxing before the next round of the day.

Headed home to pick up Shawn and Mercy. Mercy stayed with Shawns parents. Then we headed for Dillons to pick up the chicken for dinner.

So we get to the shelter house and at 5:30pm we are still waiting. The people that unlock it forgot that there was someone there at 5:30. So the place was dirty from a funeral dinner earlier that day.  So we grab brooms and start sweeping the main area. as some start cleaning up the kitchen so we can start setting up for the wedding.

Everyone pitched in and got things set up. had dinner and then the rehearsal run through. It was a busy evening.

Then i told shawn good night and went home with the parents to sleep on the couch.

The next morning while trying to get ready and finsh getting stuff in moms car. Dad is fixing breakfast. Per mom dad fixes her breakfast every moring before she goes to work. How sweet.

My parents
Current mood: grateful

Going to start off with a little about my dad. He worked his whole life and everything was moms responsibility around the house. So two years ago he retired and the tables have turned. Mom is working at a floral shop. Dad has become quite the house husband. Well after mom second knee surgery he found out what it was like to keep the house up. So here is a little of the week before the wedding at my parents house.

Mom asked dad to help peel potatoes for potato salad. So dad agrees to help peel on wednessday night. Well the phone rings and dad ends up peeling 30 pounds of potatoes by himself. Because mom ends up on the phone. When my mom cooks she cooks for an army.

Well it was not much better on Thursday mom was beginning to really stress. So dad and i start slicing ham not just one but four and 2 summer sausages. In the meantime im telling mom that is to much ham if we are just doing roll ups. But dad and i sliced it all. Mom left part of her stuff at walmart that afternoon so that made matters worse and had to go to the local store and pick up stuff to complete the food. After slicing the meat dad retires to his chair.

My poor peanut was packed to the gills with wedding stuff.

then the team work began with a friend of the family and mom and i making ham roll ups and depending on what you use to how they stick. That was interesting. Then the mints were put on plates and of course my cousins plate looked better than mine. But by this point i was tired. So i picked up baby Tanner and we rocked and snuggled for about an hour.

When i left at 9:30pm thursday night my bouquet still was not started. Everything else was done..........

Back to the parents. My parents have been married 38 years. I am grateful they still love each other and our still married. As all marriages they have been through the good and bad and still hang in there. They have always been there for me and i know they will be there for me and shawn now as they have in the past 10 years. I am so glad that my dad was able to walk me down the aisle. Even though he didnt like his monkey suit. Mom was able to do the wedding flowers and outdone herself once again. I dont know how many times the flowers changed do to mom wanting it perfect. I am so glad that i have the parents i do. So to my parents Thank you for everything that you did for the wedding and the memories of preparing for the wedding.

Well this will be short and sweet. I will be blogging soon alot to say about the wedding the honeymoon and married life and the girls. But i am off to work not enough hours in my day to get everything done. Also will be adding new pics and changing the page for halloween so stay tuned for new updates.......

FEATHERS

It has been a long week. I get a phone call this afternoon. Do you want the bad news up front or the whole story. So since i am grounded from personal calls at work. Tell me up front. Your dog has eaten your feather pillow. I tried to clean it up the best i could. This is from my wonderful fiance. I guess he came home took them out went to the computer and Hannah decided she did not like him on the computer so she took it out on my pillow.  I had made plans to go to my parents for dinner. Yes i should have came home it is 12:45am and i am still doing laundry and picking up feathers. I borrowed mom and dads shop vac so i could just suck them up along with everything else she has tore up lately in the bedroom. I dont think we are going to get rid of feathers anytime soon. I have feathers in the washer in the dryer and all over the bedroom still. So at this point both girls are grounded from the bedroom and barking at me because they want to go to bed. If i cant go to bed neither can they. So if you come to my house anytime soon dont be suprised if you dont go home with a feather or two. You really dont know how many feathers are in a pillow until it is all over your room. Well payday i will be off to buy another feather pillow unless i can save enough feathers to repair the one she damaged. Mercy is like mom i didnt do anything why are you punishing me. At this moment hannah is whining at me because i am on the computer and ignoring her. so better go before she finds something else to chew up and create another mess. Have a great weekend. I hope mine gets better.............
