Well, I just had the absolute pleasure of Mum staying with me over the past 3 weeks & I have to say, it was one of the nicest times we've ever spent together. Relaxed, calm, joyful & the occasional day trips to local markets etc... etc...
We spent many a late hour talking about our history & became closer because of it. As we were talking about our family history, it became clear to both of us, that we'd never really resaerched Mum's side of the family, her background, her history. So, I decided to start looking into it personally on a geneology website. I found a few things about Mum's family history, but not a great deal. Here maiden name was 'Powell' & her Mother's 'Roby', but as I've mentioned, very difficult to find out any history on her side. If anyone has any info on this, I really would like to hear about it & be able to pass it on to Mum! I'd like to put a FamilyTree together for her, as a belated Birthday present.
Aside from that, over the last few days, we sat & listened to the album a few times, which was the 1st time Mum had really heard it. I'm happy to say, she wasn't disappointed...... Phew!
Sadly, I had to drive her to the airport today & saying goodbye was very, very tough!!!!
Well, I have a feeling we're going to make sure we both try to see a lot more of each other.
Life is too short....

This Week...
Current mood: Groovy........

Well Folks, lets see........ meetings went very well. We now have a game-plan in place, with several back up plans, just in case. We shall move forward with the plans day by day, week by week. The album with be Mastered next week in NY & then just a few copies will be sent to the people & companies, I hope to be dealing/working with in the future, providing all goes well! We shall see! Again... Fingers X'd!
I'm not sure if we're going to make it for a Holiday release. It will all depend on how everything comes together & how quickly! If not... Spring time it is!!!! C'est La Vie...

Also, Mum & I finished filming interview segments for 'The Beatles Story' which resides in Liverpool, which will tie-in with My Beatles Memorabilia Exhibition, which will hopefully be on show by the end of the year & will eventually go on tour! We hope, if we're lucky!

Mixes et al....

Hi Folks,
Well, I've let a few weeks go by without listening to the mixes & decided to come back to them yesterday for a listen, & I can honestly say I'm pretty darn happy with them, now that I've had a chance to Breathe!
Tomorrow I start meetings to strategise the future of this Album & My Career & to discuss in what direction I want to move. Personally, I'd just like to release it & see what happens. If sales are good, then I'll consider going on the road for a while, but if not, then I'm not going to flog a dead horse, so to speak, & I'd rather be getting on with either the next CD, which wouldn't take to long to finish (As I have about another 20 tracks or so to roll out, which could be done within a few months) &/or get on with other projects that I'm quite excited about.
Anyway, lets just see how it goes! It'll either be a licensing scenario, with someone like Universal Music, or I'll go Independent again, but with out a doubt, I'll be much better prepared this time around. Anyway, I'll keep you informed, as & when.... Finger's Crossed
