Julianne Hough, Mercury Nashville recording artist and two time "Dancing with the Stars" champion has been diagnosed with Endometriosis and will be undergoing minor surgery to remove her appendix. Hough experienced mild stomach pains last week and was taken to Cedars Sinai medical center.
After consulting with her doctor, this course of treatment was recommended. Hough spoke about it on Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars" and plans on returning to the show in a week to dance with celebrity partner Cody Linley if they continue to advance in the competition. Pro dancer, Edyta Sliwinska, will fill in for Hough as Linley's partner this week should he make it through tomorrow's elimination.
Endometriosis is the development of uterine-lining tissue outside the uterus on the surfaces of organs in the pelvis or abdomen where they are not supposed to grow. It is a common medical condition found in 5-10% of women of reproductive age around the world.

Hey everyone! I am so sorry that I haven't been on to write since the album came out, it's been pretty crazy around here. I want to say thank you so much to everyone who bought the album and took it all the way to number 1 on the country charts! I never imagined that my album would go straight to the top, but it did…and it's all because of you, the fans, thank you!
Since the album came out, I was on GMA and The View. Then sang at the Indy 500, which was amazing! I did take a few days of vacation with friends and family in Mexico, which was so nice. But then it was right back to work
We just got finished up with CMA Music Festival – that was such a great experience. I had so much fun hanging out with the fans each night at LP Field and then meeting you all at the booths where I signed. Country music fans are the best fans out there and I look forward to meeting many more of you this summer on tour.
Speaking of the tour, it starts tonight, ahhh! We got into Albuquerque last night went to the venue to watch Brad's rehearsal and then went back first thing this morning. I am so excited to get out on stage in front of everyone! Don't forget, I'm the first one up each night which means I will hit the stage around 7:30pm. I've got to run and get to soundcheck now…..see some of you tonight!
