Raw Lyrics
Current mood: angry
RAW
(Words and music by Steve Bruhn)
i wish i could leave here the images in my mind forever seared about a place where dreams are lost and the lives of children have no cost
but they left me here all alone not who we were when we were young a creature who left me a mess cold and alone completely undressed
you want to see me break well step up you fake step aside before i take your life as a replacement for mine
but you believe in your lies and hate to make the world more irate you hold the death of one more child but we will always see them smile
we watched our friends live and die we held each other as we cried over a lost lover or lost friend that i held to the very end
you want to see me break well step up you fake step aside before i take your life as a replacement for mine
so pass me the lies and the bottle and i'll tell you about my last battle where i died inside for my world of greed and lies you think i don't hate you but i do because you made me hate me too

To Anacreon (The Bar-Tangled Manner)
The Great Broken Crayons Lyric Sheet Project and Mechanical Cereal Experiment continued . . .
To Anacreon (The Bar-Tangled Manner)
Oh, say can you see, by the beer's neon light, Where so loudly we wailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose barmaids and guitars, through the drunkenest fight, O'er pool tables we watched, wildly kicking and screaming? And the robot's blank stare, the bums burping in hair, Gave proof through the night that our bag was still there. O say, does that bar-tangled manner still groove O'er the noise of the creeps and the foam of the booze?
And where is that band who like drunk sailors swore That the havoc of rock drowned the babble's confusion At home in a country that loves us no more? The bleach has washed out new friend's old work's pollution. No record could soothe lost innocence and youth; Just the bright glow of night, or the smoky back booth: And the bar-tangled manner in triumph doth groove O'er the noise of the creeps and the foam of the booze.
So we play it loud, though we can hardly stand Between songs I smell food someone bring me a sandwich Blest with pickles and cheese, please give the waitress a hand To navigate through you losers to the stage from her station. Then rock on we must, for our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "Sic evitable fulmen or bust." And the bar-tangled manner forever shall groove O'er the noise of the creeps and the foam of the booze!

Underdog
This is from the old cartoon theme song; we just did a ska version. The lyrics are not too much different from the old TV show. They will probably ruin it trying to turn it into a Hollywood movie, but oh well. -Tea

Don't You (Forget About Me)
What some folks on MySpace had to say about our short film for Don't You (Forget About Me) REMIX . . .
"wow ur pretty fucked up in the head.." -Josh
"you are fucking nuts and this is why kids are killing them selves." -AITAKEEN(Aicha)
"are you trying to say something? the whole 'dont you forget about me' thing. meaning dont forget about saddam? saddam got what he deserved." -Eskimo Joe "Interesting..........." -Rosa {aka Fred}
Are we trying to say something? Yes, that he should've been given a fair trial by an international court (that's what the Hague is for) and as for "You are fucking nuts and this is why kids are killing themselves" no comment. We are pretty fucked up in the head and interesting, though; I have to cop to that. -Tea

Rock Around the Clock
Here are some of the comments posted on YouTube about our remix of "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley and the Comets. Does this qualify as a flame war? It amused me that we managed to get Bill Haley fans, Holocaust survivor defenders, and racist scumbags all into the same tent, which you would think would not be that easy to do. Nothing like a common enemy to bring folks together, eh? (p.s. MalcolmXintheMiddle is us in this rather strange debate.)
saskabush2006: "This is an insult to Bill Haley's memory. Pick another song."
saifulmk: "Why poor Bill Haley..His music is the healthier side of things...this footage is not..i dont get it"
MalcolmXintheMiddle: "I understand how you feel. This short piece of film is about the tension between fascism and freedom, with Bill Haley, Billy Williamson, Johnny Grande, Joey Ambrose, Marshall Lytle, Billy Gussak, and Danny Cedrone representing the spark within the human spirit which will ever undo the tyrant. Nazis (and for that matter, Republicans) never could take a joke. Either way I thought you deserved an intelligent answer." -Tea
saifulmk: "thanks for your reply..yes i understand the point of the clip now.All the best"
mak1965: "something a nigger would do You fucker"
Dannyjeru0105: "Dude.. go to Poland, visit the concentration camps, get a better understanding of what the Holocaust was about. Your video shows lack of understanding as well as consideration for families who were torn apart and are still sufferring...."
MalcolmXintheMiddle: "This film is not about Bill Haley or WWII. It is about Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo. It is about the concentration camps that are run by and the torture sanctioned by the country you live in, here today, and the people who are now and will forever be affected by the U.S.'s unlawful behavior. Poor students of history are doomed to relive history. It can happen (and is happening) here." -Tea
RedFox742: "What kind of sick... I am speechless."
MalcolmXintheMiddle: "This is supposed to be shocking (and a bit ironic, I suppose). Art as a weapon against fascism. I am sick and leave you speechless, do I, but Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo make no impression on you whatsoever? Hmm, interesting."

We thought this was a riot.
A couple of comments from YouTube:
YouTuber mailman4214 had this to say about Broken Crayons "Hail to the Chief": "This is obviously the product of what someone on drugs can produce. Keep right on voting Democrat! We'll be speaking Muslim (as John Kerry once said) in no time at all! This is not anything of value to anyone and I bet your mom is proud that you are on public assistance."
And mak1965 held forth thus on our remix of "Rock Around the Clock": "something a nigger would do You fucker"
We could not be more pleased or proud. Thank you. -B.C.
