Fatburger

Fatburger finally came to the Midwest!!!
Yesterday Jeff and I took a mini road trip to Orland Park to visit the Fatburger that just opened there this week.  I was worried it wouldnt be as good as the one I went to in Las Vegas BUT IT WAS!! Milkshake, fat fries and a fatburger (no relish, no pickle)  SO GOOD. I was hamburger giddy the whole time I was there

Thank you Kanye West for bringing us Fatburger!! This is the first in a chain of them he is bringing to Chicago.

Had food coma for awhile after that, but then got it together enough to get together with a group for rollerderby.  Chicago Outfit vs Hammer City Roller Girls.  We won! Last game of the season.

Politics

Politics

Just asked my mom and sister about their vote.
They are voting for Obama!!!!

My mom still likes Palin but doesnt want more war.

I was fully prepared to tell them I wouldnt come home for Thanksgiving or Christmas if they voted otherwise.

Terrible of me...yes, but I was gonna do it.

Obama

Hey,

Want an Obama T-shirt? MoveOn's giving them out if you make a small donation to their young-voter registration program, aimed at registering half a million young voters in swing states. I just got mine, and wanted to share the opportunity with you.

Click this link to get your Obama T-shirt:

Thanks!

Politics

I dont like Palin, but I wanted her to do fairly well during her debate. I was worried that if she looked like a complete jackass she would ruin it for the rest of the women out there.
But I will seriously cry if McCain wins. Its just so wrong, so obvious.

Bush got into the White House deceitfully the first time, so I thought there was no way he would get a second term.  That second term really floored me.

My sister is on the fence but I think leaning towards Obama, she seems to know that Palin is wrong and doesnt want her to be president and how awful that would be, but unsure about how she feels about McCain.  My mom is leaning towards Palin but Ive been working on her slowly  They both live in Ohio. My mom listens to her church lady friends a little too much.  And my moms side of the family is in Alabama and very republican.

My Aunt thinks Obama is a terrorist...seriously she really does. Bat shit crazy.
Usually when I get emails with FW: in the subject line I just delete it.  But I read this last one form my Aunt, it was saying that Obama is a racist, and its proven by lines from his book (that were used out of context and has a whole write up in Snopes)

I did a reply all, and added everyone on the forward list of that email before telling them all that the internet was their friend and they should do as the email said and go to the library and read the book for themselves and how much I hate viral forward emails with false information that could easily be checked out with Google.  I also included a link about another thing my crazy Aunt was passing around about how Obama wont put his hand over his heart during the Natl Anthem as supposedly proven by a picture to go along with the story (that was taken before it began and he had just gotten to his seat and just not done it yet)

Its not the emails themselves that bother me so much, its that people believe those things because someone from their church or a family member sent it to them. Or that if maybe enough crazy shit is sent, people might start to believe some of it is true.  My mom doesnt read the newspaper (hard for her to read due to eyesight) doesnt surf the net or watch news.  So she only goes by what she hears.  A lot of women from her church are the same way, a lot of older women are like that.  Really scares me, especially with Ohio voters.

Watching the debate tonight at Quenchers with friends.

Lotsa fun
Kind of a blur.
Thursday we had people over to watch the debate at our place.
(Political post to follow)

Friday we met another group for burlesque and then to Streetside.

Saturday we took Izzy (just moved to my hood!!) her visiting friend Matt and Jeff and Tiffany to Berwyn to see Red Elvises after having dinner at El Cid.

Sunday another group of friends, and Izzy and Matt for brunch at Dunlays. Then to get a forgotten credit card back in Berwyn, nap time and then we picked up Jeff to go see Slim Cessna's Auto Club.

Tonight we are staying in.  Nothing night, eating meatballs Tiffany gave us.

Tomorrow night - watching the debate at Quenchers and having a bit of a meet up there.

Izzy and Matt LOVED Red Elvises.  Crowd was odd mix, but the band is a lot of fun.

Slim Cessna was AWESOME! (as usual)  So glad my Jeff got to see them, he was so floored by them.  We stood right up to the stage, and got to be all into it.  Other Jeff was all into it like he was last time we went, having a spiritual meeting with them.

On my way to Ohio for the weekend.
Went out to Cobra Lounge last night to see the Pussy Pirates (they are so cute) at Cobra Lounge.
I wore my cat mask, but I think it looks more like a panda. I told people I was the South Park Sexual Harassment Panda.

Wore my PBR t-shirt I won from the other night PBR bingo at Burlington.

Great show, great time...very friendly crowd :)

Sept 22 2008

Had a good weekend. Hung out with friends Saturday and Sunday.  Concert last night.
Date night Friday night with Jeff, crashed an art show that had open bar. (and some really neat art!!!)

I still feel bad about Jesus. I failed him. I love him and miss him and it hurts, but I know I made the right decision.  I just feel really bad for letting him down.  But...that's for me to beat myself up about not some anonymous person that wasn't with me scrubbing my floors at 1am, and washing rugs everyday.  You pay to get my car detailed cunt!

I said...

"Easy to say when you are anonymous, not cleaning up barf and pee 5 to 8 times a day and spending $3000 in 3 months at the vet to get a dog in good health that you just got from a place that didn't say the dog was a special needs dog when that sure as hell is special needs.

Dont think you are superior and don't fucking judge me cunt."
