MTV’s Top Pop Group????...Or NOT???? give UR opinion!!!!!

We're officially back from our hiatus!  We we're absent from Myspace but for good reason.  For those of you who didn't know, we were recently selected to be on a new MTV show called "MTV'S TOP POP GROUP" and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives.  We were given the chance to challenge ourselves and at the same time show the people who have been supportin us a whole different side of Ju-Taun they never knew. LOL  To step on a multi-million dollar stage, look in the camera and sing to America is something we'll never forget!  While we we're in Hollywood we had very limited access to the internet!  Needless to say we couldn't keep you up to date on our day to day.  But let us give you a quick glimpse.  First of all we met so many great people.  We met choreographers and behind the scenes producers who worked with the best in the business and pushed us to become better as not only artists, but as people.  I'm sure many of you that have been with us for the ride didn't know we could dance like that!   And as far as the competition we had on the show.....I'm sure most of you would be surprised to find out that just about everybody there became best friends.  We learned so much from each other and we all took with us bonds that will last a lifetime.  Our lives we're touched by everyone we met and we couldn't have asked for anything more.  For those that watched and voted....we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  We appreciate it soo much.  It's because of all of you that we made it to the top 2!  We didn't win but we feel the group that did win deserved it just as much (Shout out to Mosaic, ya'll are amazing!)  Thank you MTV, BBC and Global Hybrid Productions for the opportunity to be on such a great show!!  To everyone that was involved in the show, we'll definitely see each other again soon.  To everyone who believes in Ju-Taun don't worry, we got soo much more in store for ya'll.  (Again thank you for tuning  in to watch us do our thang and thank u so much for voting!!!!!)  And to America....you haven't seen the last of Ju-Taun, that was just a warm-up!  Stay Tuned cause our new album is on the way!!

Hey People.......

Welcome 2 our first blog entry EVA....yea we know its long over do..lol...

We first wanna thank everyone 4 allllll the love on the new single "Yes" that we been gettin ( yeah...uh....if you havent heard it yet....now would be a good time).....it means alot 2 us that people can appreciate our music....its more motivation than you know(this will be explained later)

Recently we did an interview @ a radio station in Chi-town .....(shout out to "The Twinz" ova at The Takeover Show....we love yall)...so anyway....the question was brought to us about "Yes".... "So fellas....tell us whats the concept behind this song??"......now... we aint really write this song with a concept in mind....it was more of an expression of the things we've dealt wit in relationships while bein in the music industry.....aight.... so that bein said.... it was in aswerin this question that we realized that there IS a universal idea within the song that most people can relate to.

"Yes"...(even though it comes from our personal experience)....is actually about an issue that comes up in any relationship.....that bein.... INSECURITY..or...the need to know that the person you are wit cares for you the same way you do for them....we all know how that feels....and its about a man takin the stand to say...i know that there are things that go on to make you wonder....so let me tell you B4 you even have to bring it up.....Yes ...i love you ....Yes i miss you...Yes i need you and care about you....you are important to me and i understand why you feel the way you do....

We had a meeting back in the beginning of 07 wit an A&R(no names mentioned)....of a "Major Label"...again no names....but anyway....he was tryin to convince us that music like "ours" goes over most peoples heads and that we are limited to a certain fanbase because of our "style"...... "most music consumers are the age of 11 - 26...and all they want is ringtones or somethin they can dance to.....they not really listenin to what its about unless its simple" he says.....(oh and the motivation thing earlier....applies here...lol)

aight so....even though we refuse to believe that young adults...even teenagers of this generation are not able to connect with real music that relates to real life..... we pose these questions....

Is "Yes" a relatable song????(dont know if relatable is a word, but anyway)

Do you really Listen to music or do you just skim through it????

Is R&B supposed to only be about...." shawty let me holla at you....i could be ya boy friend....you could be my....blah blah blah"
