Thoughts 1
Current mood: frustrated

Penny for my thoughts?

With the drop of a leaf, a ripple is created sending its purpose into motion, as it makes the ripple on the pond. Just as the ripple is made, wind and nature played the same part in causing the leaf to fall from its current place in the midst of a world lost. My question to you is where do all the pieces fall into place? What is the purpose and natural order of things?

I am finding that our current situations, as voluntary as they may or may not be, define our purpose. If we find ourselves in a moment, and recognize a path, which do we choose? I believe that you will naturally define your purpose by the decisions you make, whether they be inspired by love, respect, honor, or the like.

In these moments we are filled with many emotions and feelings. Fear, Lust, Anger, Humility are only but a few examples. Some may happen instantaneously and at the same time.

I find myself humble but in a constant state of confusion. For what reasons I continually find myself in common situations i am fully aware, but as I consistently conclude each in the same matter I am forced to raise my chin to the skies with closed eyes and thank God for allowing me to be exactly what I am... imperfect in every way; aware of the constant struggles of life; aid to those who accept or decline my inclinations/purpose.

What else is to be sought after? Sincerity of heart perhaps. An accepting mindset? Everyone is different, but i find myself seeking a higher understanding of my actions.

I conclude only to say, Love is to embrace humility. Life is to experience everything. Purpose is what you do with what you Love in your Life.

...Perhaps.

With the utmost sincerity,
Josh/Jdub

Your Ghost
Current mood: vexed

 YOUR GHOST

Verse 1
The time goes by, I dont know why the seasons havent changed
Cuz in my mind a million times Ill say Im still the same.

Another day the sun comes up and reluctantly It fades.
Nocturnal eyes still wide awake stare blankly in the wake

Of your face, in constant constellation keeps my drive alive.
Someday Ill hope the time is right to show you were alright

To move on from this empty rung,
Someday youll hear the songs Ive sung.
And know this time has not been gone,
And what you feel is love.

Chorus

I dont want to be your ghost.
I just want to hold you close.
Nothing can change the way I feel.
Cuz the way I feel is real (repeat)
...its indescribable.

Verse 2

The ticking and the tocking of the ever present clock,
Is nothing more than nervousness avoiding a call

To a girl I know and hate to love cuz she seems so far away
Despite discouraged aptitude Ill bend until I break.

This distant silence,
let me be a fool for you,
leave you flowers in mid afternoon

Reminders all around me uncover truth of what Ive had.
Photographs of yester years; kindred spirits to the end.

Chorus

I dont want to be your ghost.
I just want to hold you close.
Nothing can change the way I feel.
Cuz the way I feel is real (repeat)
...
its indescribable.

Biography - Music

Minding only to his unyielding thoughts, Joshs musical proclamations vary in temperament, but are in consistent harmony with his life, and wholesome outlooks. His resolve is to answer the questions of love, life, and futuristic goals for happiness, guided by the simplistic essence of First Love. As a realist, Joshs soft voice finds its way through open mics and into open minds meanwhile his passion for music, and devotion to topics of young adult struggles has spawned a new beginning for him on his path into the future. As a songwriter and musician, Josh strives to achieve more and is constantly conjuring new modal melodic music involving harmonious tangents marked by power and aggression, gradually stemming back to the root of his proclamations of love, life, and happiness.

Joshs roots stem from Utah where he was born and raised. For thirteen years he spent his childhood surrounded by multitudes of people. With a very large family base always near by, and seven siblings from three parents (Daniel, Logan, Desirae, Brian, Rachel, Matt, and Adam), there was rarely a dull moment. Music was never absent. Whether he be admiring his mothers magnificent voice carry through the house, or listening to the radio, Josh seeded onto the sense of sound.

In 1998, Josh moved to Clovis, CA. Coming from a conservative background, he became overwhelmed by culture shock mounding confusion and question. The rattling transition from Utah to California was short lived and he moved back to Utah once in high school at the age of 15. Thinking that he could become what others in his life had always wanted him to become, his return to Utah was received well. In time though, he found that he had no place in Utah, and in no more than seven months, Josh returned to California with a sense of self and independence.

Having learned much, Josh yearned for a means of expression. So one random day he came home from hanging out with friends and asked his mother if she would teach him some basic chords and also if he could borrow her guitar. Little did she know that in the moment of saying, yes, she was in fact handing the guitar over, and would constantly have to beg for it back when asked. Josh fell in love with music, and soon mastered basic chords on an old Mexican nylon string guitar.

In time, Josh also began to express himself through words. In adolescense, he began to find focus in his lyrics as his emotions found a haven in his room where he would spend hours practicing, and writing.

Once out of High School, Josh found himself compelled to move forward, and achieve independence. Minding only to his own goals, the times of high school faded away and his discrepancies with close friends mounded. He then began to separate himself from old and move to new heights.

Josh is now an independent songwriter and musician determined to tell the stories of his past, minding to the lessons he has learned in life, love, and change. His aspiring mentality shows as he works through the hardships of his own life meanwhile his talents find new means of expression and focus.
