Another night, I'm in my bed. I still can't close my eyes.
The love I thought you felt for me was nothing more than lies.
Yes I could stay awake for hours, and wonder what would be.
But no, I'm going to get some rest tonight. Tomorrow you will see.

I choose-
to never let you get to me. You were just a waste of my time.
I refuse-
to ever get hurt again, I'm independent and I'm free.
But you lose-

I bet you thought that I would crash and burn, the day you walked away.
I shut my mouth too long, now its your turn. Hear what I've got to say.
I'm better off now than I ever was. I'm smarter, wiser too.
I'm living now just for me because- I can no thanks to you

I love you
Current mood: disappointed

My heart is heavy, I'm out of place. If you could see my tired face.
I haven't slept for days on end, If I had known you'd want a friend.
I'd never give my heart to you if I had only known, but since I can't be
just your friend, I'll have to be alone.

I love you. Why do these three simple words have to hurt so much?
I love you.  If you only knew how much I miss and need your touch.
You always said you loved me, and you loved what was to be,
but now I know it wasn't true, you lied and looked at me and said,
I love you.

I think of visits to the park, and how I'd hold you in the dark,
It hasn't even been a week, I miss the times we used to speak,
I always seem to check my phone, although you'll never call,
and when I lie in bed at night, that is the worst of all.

My love for you will have to fade, so there can come a day,
