War Child Benefit at The Dakota Tavern!
Kathleen Edwards will be playing a War Child Canada benefit show at Toronto's Dakota Tavern on Tuesday September 16th! Catch her and the band in this VERY intimate setting, and donate to a very worthy cause. Tickets are $20 each, and only available at the door, so get there early! Doors are at 9pm, Kathleen hits the stage at 10pm. This will be an incredible spot to see her! The Dakota Tavern is located at 249 Ossington Avenue (at Dundas Street West).

New Merch Available!
Finally, we've got new merch up on the Maple Music webstore** (http://www.maplemusic.com/artists/ked)! The most exciting item is a LIMITED run of the Kathleen Edwards Vacuum Tube Magnets (all hand made and numbered by Ms. Edwards herself), that - until now - have only been available at shows. There were a total of only 1000 magnets made, and Kathleen has moved a very small supply of them to this webstore. Get 'em before they sell out! Also, you'll find the latest Gary Houston-designed screen print poster (all signed and numbered by the artist) and new t-shirt designs.

Polaris Music Prize! Festivals!

Hot on the heels of Kathleen's European tour, comes the great news of her Polaris Music Prize nomination! We're thrilled to let you know that "Asking For Flowers" has been voted one of the 10 best Canadian albums of the year (May 2007-May 2008). Letterman! CMT! Pemberton Festival! Europe!

Hey folks,

Lots of Kathleen news for you this week, so let's get right to it....

Letterman!
Kathleen and her band will be performing on tomorrow night's (Tuesday, April 22) Late Show with David Letterman. Tune in!

This one's a two-parter:

CMT Canada:
...will be airing a Dakota Sessions with Kathleen Edwards next Monday April 28th at 7pm (airing again on Friday May 2 at 11pm). Watch Kathleen, Colin Cripps and Jim Bryson in this great intimate venue.

Pemberton Festival!
Kathleen has been added to the awesome lineup to the inaugural Pemberton Festival, just outside Whistler, BC. She'll join Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (!), The Tragically Hip, My Morning Jacket, Coldplay, Sam Roberts Band and many more great bands for this three-day music fest. Europe!
We're devising the plan, folks. Kathleen and the band will be doing a European tour in June. Stay tuned for dates and details coming soon!
