To celebrate the ongoing partnership among the Kansas City Zoo, the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department and the City of Kansas City, MO the Zoo, once again, is offering free admission to residents of Kansas City, Mo. during October and November.
City residents can get free admission by coming to the Zoo during regular business hours in October and November. Residents must bring a photo identification and proof of residency. Proof of residency can be established with a utility bill, credit card bill, cell phone bill, etc., depicting a Kansas City, Missouri address. Only the immediate family members at that address receive free admission."

Designed to look like a suburban streetscape, KidScape immerses children into a colorful, exciting environment where they can learn about community and meet some of Johnson County's most talented citizens - past and present!. Enter into six enticing environments: bookstore, park, City Hall, hospital, fashion boutique, and theater. The bookstore engages a child's imagination as they pretend to be a superhero, create works of art, and read popular children's stories from local authors. At the park, children can hone golf skills at the putting green, fish in the pond, and play a variety of sports using virtual games. Kids become city planners, developers, and other important service professionals in City Hall. At the fashion boutique, children express their creativity designing outfits, jewelry, and accessories. Kids are invited to sing, dance, and act their way to stardom on the KidScape stage!
All the activities are fun and engaging, and reinforce the idea that everyone is an important part of a community and can make a positive impact. Come learn and explore with us!"
