Leave the country...this government is F*^ked!

Body: Its a lot of legal lingo but basically it outlaws any form of protest against the war on Iraq. This means any marching, DA, or donations to groups who want to end the war. The way it is worded any person who protest is directly trying to bring an end to "stabilize Iraq" . This means their endless bloody war.

Executive Order: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq

RSS Feed White House News

Fact sheet Message to the Congress of the United States Regarding International Emergency Economic Powers Act

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, as amended (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.)(IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.)(NEA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code,

I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, find that, due to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States posed by acts of violence threatening the peace and stability of Iraq and undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq and to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people, it is in the interests of the United States to take additional steps with respect to the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 of May 22, 2003, and expanded in Executive Order 13315 of August 28, 2003, and relied upon for additional steps taken in Executive Order 13350 of July 29, 2004, and Executive Order 13364 of November 29, 2004. I hereby order:

Section 1. (a) Except to the extent provided in section 203(b)(1), (3), and (4) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)(1), (3), and (4)), or in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted prior to the date of this order, all property and interests in property of the following persons, that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of United States persons, are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in: any person determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense,

(i) to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of:

(A) threatening the peace or stability of Iraq or the Government of Iraq; or

(B) undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people;

(ii) to have materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, logistical, or technical support for, or goods or services in support of, such an act or acts of violence or any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order; or

(iii) to be owned or controlled by, or to have acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order.

(b) The prohibitions in subsection (a) of this section include, but are not limited to, (i) the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order, and (ii) the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services from any such person.

Sec. 2. (a) Any transaction by a United States person or within the United States that evades or avoids, has the purpose of evading or avoiding, or attempts to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.

(b) Any conspiracy formed to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.

Sec. 3. For purposes of this order:

(a) the term "person" means an individual or entity;

(b) the term "entity" means a partnership, association, trust, joint venture, corporation, group, subgroup, or other organization; and

(c) the term "United States person" means any United States citizen, permanent resident alien, entity organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States (including foreign branches), or any person in the United States.

Sec. 4. I hereby determine that the making of donations of the type specified in section 203(b)(2) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)(2)) by, to, or for the benefit of, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order would seriously impair my ability to deal with the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 and expanded in Executive Order 13315, and I hereby prohibit such donations as provided by section 1 of this order.

Sec. 5. For those persons whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order who might have a constitutional presence in the United States, I find that, because of the ability to transfer funds or other assets instantaneously, prior notice to such persons of measures to be taken pursuant to this order would render these measures ineffectual. I therefore determine that for these measures to be effective in addressing the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 and expanded in Executive Order 13315, there need be no prior notice of a listing or determination made pursuant to section 1(a) of this order.

Sec. 6. The Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense, is hereby authorized to take such actions, including the promulgation of rules and regulations, and to employ all powers granted to the President by IEEPA as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this order. The Secretary of the Treasury may redelegate any of these functions to other officers and agencies of the United States Government, consistent with applicable law. All agencies of the United States Government are hereby directed to take all appropriate measures within their authority to carry out the provisions of this order and, where appropriate, to advise the Secretary of the Treasury in a timely manner of the measures taken.

Sec. 7. Nothing in this order is intended to affect the continued effectiveness of any rules, regulations, orders, licenses, or other forms of administrative action issued, taken, or continued in effect heretofore or hereafter under 31 C.F.R. chapter V, except as expressly terminated, modified, or suspended by or pursuant to this order.

Sec. 8. This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right, benefit, or privilege, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, instrumentalities, or entities, its officers or employees, or any other person.

21 relationship questions
Current mood: dorky

21 Relationship Questions

Honeslty?  Honestly...

1) Are you single, taken or have a crush?
I'm in love with Chad.  He's my wonderful one.

2) Are you happy with where you are?
I'm happy when I'm playing music.  When I'm walking dogs I feel like a loser.

3) When you meet the right person, do you fall fast?
not at all.  I definitely question my feelings for a long time before I make that leap.  3 months is a good average time for me.

4) have you ever had your heart broken?
of course.

5) How long was your last relationship?
2 years with a summer break in between

6) Would you ever take someone back if they cheated on you?

It's amazing how many second chances I've been given because I don't know that I could do the same.  Most likely not.

7) Have you ever talked about marriage with another person?
With every serious boyfriend I've had (that's 3 so far)

8) How many kids do you want?
I want to adopt as many kids as I can afford...I probably only want to go into labor once in my life...that shit looks painful!

9) How many people have told you they love you? And meant it?
Not including family I believe that 4 people have told me and truly meant it.

10) How many of them did you tell you love them too?
I told all 4, but I took one back...oops.

11) If somebody liked you right now, what do you think is a cool way to tell you?
Ask me out, but just be prepared when I say no and point to my boyfriend across the room.

12) Do you enjoy playing hard to get?
I just like to feel things out and not get too crazy too fast.  I always want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.  I don't consider that playing hard to get though it might seem like it.

13) Do you want someone you can't have?
Not anymore.

15) Do you believe in celebrating anniversaries?
I do just because it gives you something to look forward to in this humdrum life we live.  It's another reason to party, to go out to a nice dinner, to get dressed up, to get drunk, to have crazy sex.

16) Do you believe that you can change someone?
You can't do it consciously.  You just have to be you and the person will change with you if they want to.  If you don't like a person don't try to change them, just leave them.

17) Do you have feelings for someone right now?
My baby.

18) Have you ever wished you could have someone but you couldnt?
I did for a decent amount of time.

19) Would you ever consider getting married in high school?
Nope.

20) Would you marry any of your Ex's if they ask?
wow...only if I was single and only if they had shown me they grew up a little.

21) Does everyone deserve a second chance?
Yes, but am I the person to give it is the question.

Ground to Machine's music video
Current mood: accomplished
Category: Dreams and the Supernatural

Well it is finished. This beast of a thing that seemed impossible to shoot on a budget such as ours is finished (of course it still needs to be edited and all that, but we have the main part done). I'm pretty exausted so why I am still awake writing this is beyond me, but I feel I have to say something.
The video is for the song playing on my profile right now (Destroyed By What They Found). Hopefully you guys will get to see it very soon. We had a lot of fun making it, I know Eddie had a lot of fun directing it and I have to give him a major round of applause (over the computer of course) for pulling this off, and I hope all the actors (Artem, Jackie, Julie, Katie, Micheal Shine, Chris, and Natalie).
I also absolutely have to thank my band's gaurdian angel, Joey, for helping us achieve this goal as well as many others in the past.
Well that was a big yawn which means I need to be sleeping.
I hope everyone is coming to our show in NYC on the 31st. We have A&R people coming so we need the biggest crowd EVER!!! Look for more info on my band's myspace.

GOODNIGHT!!!

MTV Video Music Awards
Current mood: content

Yes, I was there.  Yes, I waiting on line for more than 5 hours just to get in.  That part was terrible!!!

But once we were in it was all worth it.

Eddie and I sat right behind Beyonce and Jay-Z.  We walked past Pharrel and Kanye West.  We were sitting not to far from Fall Out Boy and I was within earshot of Jared Leto.  I wanted to scream out to him, but I didn't want to look like a crazy fan.

We were going to give a CD to Jay-Z but Eddie only had one (we weren't allowed to bring in anything.  Only stuff that could fit in our pockets) and we stepped out of line at one point because the waiting was getting recidulous and we gave our CD to some randomn chick holding a microphone.

We soon realized we had make a huge mistake and ran our asses back to our spot in line that many people would have killed for.

Turned out to be a great fucking time and it was all worth it...would I ever do it again???   That's a BIG FAT NO!  I'll stick to watching it on TV until I'm there as a celebrity.

What can you do??
Current mood: nervous

So I came home to find a homeless man sleeping outside of my bedroom door.

This is not the beginning of a funny story...this is happening right now.

I live on the 5th floor of my building...how did he get there and should I have him removed?

It made me jump to see him there.  It makes me nervous to know that anyone can get into my building, and it makes me squirm a little to know that when I go to sleep he will be lying on the floor just on the other side of my door.

And at the same time I do not have the heart to call the cops to take him away.  It is raining outside and I can't put him out there.  At least he is dry.  As long as he leaves at some point we are ok....

What's the right thing...I don't know.  I'm not comfortable with him there but do I sacrifice him being comfortable to make me more comfortable?  Is he really harming me?  Physically, no...mentally, a little...or am I making too big of a deal out of it.

This would never happen if I had a doorman...

It's my party and I'll punch you in the face if I want to
Current mood: melancholy
Category: Life

So It's been my golden birthday for almost 2 hours now and I can't get happy.  I went to my boyfriend's house after work only to find that I had forgotten my keys in his house and that the mets game he was at had gone into some major extra innings.  He told me to wait in a cafe...by myself....no thank you.  He just got home now (at 1:30).  I would have drunk my 24- year-old sorrows away by myself for 3 hours.

So I decided to go back to my house.  And on the train I cried a little....I felt 24 coming on and I was helpless to stop it and I knew I was going to have to face it alone....

So at 7 tonight I will eat with family and after that I will drink myself under the table, maybe puke, drink some more and go home...hopefully this time with my boyfriend.

He thinks I'm mad at him for not being there for my 12 am turning, but I'm not.  I'm just sad and crazy...

So this goes out to all you girls who turned 24 this year...Love you all!!!

Kiirstin
