for the co-editor of killpoet and ridiculously passionate lover of Your words
billy was a fine man, with one of the biggest hearts ever.
when i think about a world without billy it is pretty tough.
his daily morning, "yo" on google talk to me.
one that meant it was time to start bantering under the guise of working.
how i constantly annoyed him and he constantly annoyed me and how it didn't matter.
that at the end of that day we would never end mad at each other.
this is the type of man billy was.
this is the type of man that billy made me want to be.
his ridiculous passion for keeping things pure, made me a better man, better thinker.
when he called me,"brother" i actually believed it.
because he meant it so very much when he said it.
it's not news that his smile could light up a room, it is fascinating to me how easily he could smile.
the first time i met him face to face that smile was so very big, it just made me smile.
and im more of a grinner.
when i think about killpoet without him it is pretty tough.
we have a family with you all. he considered you all his family.
we spent many hours talking and laughing about this machine and how we all found one another through it.
how tom might have opened up the door to digital hell, but fuck we were so very glad he did.
the words, while so very important to billy, were no more so than the actuality of a live event that brought all of us together.
that poetry could live and breathe beyond the coffee shop reads that were primarily restricted to a regional level.
he had such wonderful ideas about killpoet and your words and how to get them out.
these were the things that made billy most happy.
he would want me to tell you that.
i know now as i cry while typing this that billy was one of the most passionate people i ever met.
and i really hope that everyone can remember him in that regard. because he made us all better for it.
i love you very much billy.

------------------------------------
ISSUE 3. GUIDELINES.
1. Send 2 to 4 pieces in the body of an email or as an attachment to
killpoet mailbox ....headline the email ISSUE 3 SUBMISSIONS. you don't actually have to cap it. ;) make sure the TITLE is easily visible before each poem submitted. 2. like ISSUE 2....our theme for this issue is the jarred residue of your psyche...however that may come out. a cohesive amalgam of work will be featured in ISSUE 3. 3. Expect 2 to 4 weeks to hear back a reply on whether or not the piece will be used in an upcoming issue. Deliberations over each piece will consist of 7 total readers scouring your hotness. The other 5 members are shadows. Unbiased third party lovers of word art and visual art. Like the unknown members of the MPAA, we will keep their identities secret so as to not tempt any of you all to murder them if the results turn out bad. Feel free to conduct such violence against Billy and Jason. They need it anyway and would look upon the gesture as highly favorable. And. Remember that if you don't get into that issue, no worries, we will be putting these out very regularly. More than likely they didn't fit in to the feel of that specific issue. Not because they weren't good. You are all made of stars. 4. Include a BIO and PICTURE and WEBLINK to your site of choice with your submissions.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS NOV. 14TH.

let it begin friends.
Category: Writing and Poetry
Greetings. Killpoet is back. Reanimating this body. Possessing this skin and bones. Freak dancing under the hot hot lights. In need of action. Of words. Paintings. Sketches. Cool sips of art. Yawning and stiff, but slowly loosening the muscles. Unatrophying the brain. We're pleasantly unraveling the ratty carpet. The grinding road to words…to pictures….to surreal landscapes dripped on the canvas starts here. The ink stained trail has been dry too long. We forgot how to get back to that kingdom. That is over. It is ready to be splashed wildly with Your colors. Drenched and inundated with our collective consciousness. This savior comes in lyricism. In jarring phrases. Or the internal hum of rhyme dripping in a vaulted vocab. In slices and moments. The drug dumb bliss from typing and poking at a keyboard. Long hand jotting in cursive the emotion of what you are in new ways. Painting, doodling, sketching alike. Our bones ache for all of that. From You. The semantics of art fades away and Killpoet opens its arms for you to breathe in deep the dark recesses of whatever you are. Or were. That sacred moment. Vomit out the sickness of beauty. Or shine of passion. Line break the pain away. Play in words. Feel up stanzas in beautifully lude ways. Cry alien junk all over the paper. Just do. Come play with us. Killpoet is only here to save the world. cheers
*We are putting humpty dumpty back together. Stay tuned. Submission calls will recommence very soon. Along with updates on chapbooks, print mags, art showcasing*
