Pommy Vanishes Into The Portal, Kit and V-Ron Investigate

Vocalist P Pommy Black disappeared. The last time she was seen, she was being lured into the Portal by an Anti-Steve, who sang her operatic renditions of Sanskrit spirituals.

One of the Lords of the Dead, ranting, raving, and drunk on blueberry vodka, informed Kit that he would have to enter the Portal himself. The alternative was serious injury or death.

Kit tried to ignore the other-worldly dark winged creature in his usual non-challant manner. Several sharp blows to the head later, he decided that there could be some merit to the idea.

Armed with an iBook and a Guitar Synth, Kit set out to enter the portal. When he got to it he found rapper V-Ron was already there, equipped with her sketch pad and a 9 pound box of used razor blades.

Together, they walked through the whirling vortex of glyphs and lense flare effects. In a flash, they had vanished from the dark Desire Street apartment.

They could still see New Orleans, but now they could see through it like a Adobe Photoshop layer at 42% opacity. There were bone white feathered things parading forth from the Desire Street Asylum. The procession sounded like clattering skulls, surgical tools, cartoon sound effects, and accordions, dubbed over Concrete Blonde on an infinite loop.

Toxie and Eva Eris are pregnant after a very close encounter with a non-corporeal being. They have opted out of the project. Vero (V-ron), P. Pommy Black, and Kit Li continue their investigations of the interdimensional portal.

Back From Mars and Exploring New Toys

Kit just returned from a vacation to the red planet and is recovering from a minor knee injury incurred while hiking on Olympus Mons. He was otherwise unscathed by his harrowing frozen desert adventures. Last Wednesday's practice was scaled down. Attendees consisted of Kit and V-Ron, and they took the oppotunity to explore a three way combo of drum machine, electric bass, and a guitar synth.

They recorded the raw tracks for two new Sanskrit songs which are really covers of material by a pre-space/time band called the Rishis.

Spawning Of The PheelBots

Last Wednesday, XA had it's first full practice. Tradition was abandoned by tradition, and before long most of the band were playing different instruments than their usual. Toxie ranted on the megaphone, Kit Li played synth bass on the keys, V-Ron hammered on the digital drums. P Pommy Black and Eva Eris stuck with their respective main instruments of voice and guitar.

The practice ran 90 minutes overtime. When all screaming, slamming, singing, and hammering had been done for the night, the band emerged from the depths of DarkWorld (Kit's apartment) to discover that neighbours had constructed robots from Katrina debris while listening to the jam.

The PheelBot stood 12 feet tall and held his gaze towards the moonlit sky. His arm was wraped around his hot girlfriend, the PheelMeBot, a fashion-conscious, battle scarred manequin with no arms.

They are still standing on the sidewalk outside DarkWorld, patiently waiting for next Wednesday night.

Truth is stranger than reality.
