Taking Stock....
Current mood: busy
Girl Loves To Pack:
The little order-gremlin in me loves to fold and tuck little items into boxes. Christine & Joe Abraham would be happy to see me sucking down the Starbucks from down the street (a St. Louis habit ONLY, though...) to fuel my folding frenzy.
Taking down the Christmas lights while Chet Baker underscores with "I've Never Been in Love Before"...using the two-dozen pairs of black tights & dance tights (did I really think I was going to use all of those...?) to wrap my photo frames...
Saying farewell to St. Louis, their warm, welcoming audiences, the use of the company vehicle, the $1.00 laundry machines 14 steps from my door, the delicious French martini at Cyrano's (I know, they have those in New York, too...but for an additional $5 a pop, thank you very much).
Confession: I'm counting the minutes until I get back. The 36 hour trip back over Christmas to my-boy-in-NY, my-family-in-CT whet my appetite for MORE. More more more.
Looking forward to:
1. BMI. A couple of good status talks with Robert M. on our current project, a couple of volleys with Dan F., chatting with Jeremy D. when he attended "M of M-the M!" with his fiancee and family got me psyched up for the first class back on Jan. 9th...I'm going to be happy to get back on the train to Princeton for another session pre-presentation on the 16th of our first (sweat forming on brow now) group song.
2. Auditioning. Wow, how 'bout that - the itch is back, it's well-timed, and girl is gonna scratch. I'll be taking votes about whether this blond thing on my head is going to stay or go..
3. Seeing shows: Company, Spring Awakening, Grey Gardens, Coast of Utopia, and then some others I've been intending to see but it somehow has been postponed into infinity...Chorus Line, Brel, Color Purple.
and last but not least...SEEING MY FRIENDS....past present future!

Feelin' French
Edwin had a fondue party last night for the cast, with 100% cast and director attendance. We talked about light topics like fear of flying & natural disasters, Elaine Stritch (not to be included in the previous category), the "lyrics or music first?" question, birth order & siblings, and basically shoveled in the delicious fondue - dipping bread, roasted potatoes, vegetables, etc. etc....and drank wine of course... until everyone started to look blurry & cheese-y.
We rehearse this morning at 11:00, and I for one need the extra recovery time. [blehcheeseblehcoughmmmmemoryofcheese] Edwin, by the way, is a miracle in the kitchen.

Webcams rock!
Category: Web, HTML, Tech
After several failed attempts at linking my webcam up to AOL/AIM (those bitches...I am so close to disabling that account forever except I've had it for about as long as I've had hair), thanks to Mercedes for suggesting the free software Skype. Very handy - it's a great way to keep in touch with folks. For those of you who don't know, I'm in St. Louis, MO rehearsing for "Musical of Musicals-the Musical!" which I'm privileged to be doing with 1/2 of the writing team, Joanne Bogart, and the NYC director Pamela Hunt. The remainder of the cast is Edwin Cahill (Man #2) and Matt Bailey (Man #1). I'm Woman #1. This tells you nothing, I'm sure.
For those of you who know the show, it's quite a hoot, and we're having a great time in rehearsals. For anyone with a webcam who wants to say "Hi"- download some skype and give me a hollah!
