For anyone who’s going through tough times...
Category: Life

***This was sent to my personal email and I know that many of us are going through hard times...so let's just try to remember a few things, even if you don't agree with them all***

***************************************************************

This was written By Regina Brett of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio

To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolls over to 70 in August, so here goes:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never  blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood but, the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't  save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years, will  this matter?"

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will.   Stay in touch.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or  didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative of dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd  grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

Confined Love
Category: Writing and Poetry

Confined Love

Bound wrists
Steel of glory
Fasten securely
Motionless

Gagged mouth
Tied behind
Muted muffles
Quiet as a mouse

Pitch black
Silkened scarf
Light no more
Only sound

Take me
Use me
Love me
Fuck me

Glistening sweat
Volcano erupts
Moment of pleasure
Good morning my love

Awaken the Demonia ~a collab with Aaron...(Versatile Writer)
Category: Writing and Poetry

Awaken the Demonia

Yet another masterpiece created with the influence and help of Aaron...(Versatile Writer).

Now that she's got the third parties on the run
and bleeding the dagger to remain warm within
Find a cunning victim to exorcise her tongue
Where her merciless onslaught can reprise over again

Taking flight over lifeless terrain
Raging loins begin to settle
A new mission is at hand
Her new quest becomes clear

She has been denied truth for so long
Ah but the Cold steel blade never lies
Drag one helpless victim into her abode
As she feels the rush of adrenaline surge her thighs

The lure, the promise of lust
Following her helplessly
Caught in an unbreakable trance
A dagger in her eyes gleams

Trace his spine with childlike etchings
little glyphs and symbols, spelling her name
Insatiable lust, grinding her teeth
against the cold skin, Destiny Untamed..

Forked tongue so soft
Caressing cold flesh pale as winter
Hot breath of power
Unyielding unholiness

Every ember of caressed flesh
a memory of the predecessor of pain
That cold blade calls upon her wicked grin
" Just put an end to this creature" speaks insane..

Cold steel piercing hot flesh
A crimson wave washes over a sick pale
Scorching eyes begging for life
Entranced in lustful death

Simultaneous in motion
after the release of toxic semon
She carves her initials in his flesh
Engraved, " Thanks for awakening the demon"

Puppet Strings of Unknown Destiny (collab with Lyrical Noise of Poetic Roar)
Category: Writing and Poetry

Puppet Strings of Unknown Destiny

Collab written with one of the most precious people in my life, Lyrical Noise or Poetic Roar.

Inflamming upon the one called master
The Puppet denies the chains of claustrophobic strings
For whom the bell tolls, the red in the eyes insane
waiting like a good little servent to rebel

His boot has stomped one too many times
Her demons begin to unleash fires of hell
picturing in her mind his untimely demise
Inducing the beginnings of her magical spell

Her icy hot fury grew with but a rage
Tarnished shackles beholding her soul
Start to crumble piece by piece
Ever surely imminating her great escape

Fire inside, something inside beckons
Called from deep within
Cut loose these ties, the weapons of amusement
A toy no more

Too long has his vice of humility
strangled in his deathwish distortion
Black wings begin to form on her spine
Speaking in scorn, He will wish he was never born

He has no idea the demon he has awakened
from the seeds of brutality he has chosen
Her skin begins to form scalelike ripples
Soon she will be reborn, under the darkest moon

Ample horns reach the full moon
Fingernails turn into black claws
Eyes turn to the piercing black night
Crouch down, get ready, take flight

Scorn and scoul, trace every step
The hand that feeds is awaiting the taking
Stalking within the shadows
He never saw it coming

Now consumed with the taste of blood
The heart of vengeance beating in her heart
The insatiable hunger to shatter humanity
No turning back from the demon created within

Drag the body to the concrete jungle
so the rest can see, whats to become of eager flesh
Drive a splintered stake into the ground
leave the body to drain its blood upon the crowds

Feeling her own skin conspire against her will
She is too far drawn into the vendetta of revenge
As the blood drains down her razor sharp fangs
Staring at the fear in their deceptive pupils

The inner-pull of reversing effects conspires
Shrink back, step back
Recoil from whence it came
Pale porcelain flesh returns, untouched of fault

Slinking away, exit with haste
Draw the doors open of the path above
Transfixed on the new horizon
Her new destiny uncertain

Crumbling Tower
Category: Writing and Poetry

On an icy concrete slab she waits
A prisoner of her own home
Shackled down with rusted chains
Imminent death awaits

The ancient warrior silently stormed
Taking the very soul from her body
Draining her very life force
Tethering her shell to die with time

A heartbeat that only grows faint
A heart that only grows bitter
Flesh that flows hte palest of white
Muscles that die, leaving no emotion

Eyes that no longer pierce
A mouth that no longer moves
A guarded soul that was taken
Everything fades to black

Who dares go there?
Who be this challenger?
Who be this one,
Who will save this Dark Queen?

Decadent Release (erotic) ~ Collab with Wicked Game
Category: Writing and Poetry

Decadent Release
(Collab with Wicked Game)

I see you watching me
My every movement, my ever breath
Watching you, watching me
My hands roaming my pale flesh

The art of self pleasure
You have perfected
A masterpiece in motion
A living, breathing canvass

Commanding my every move with your eyes
Piercing through my skin like daggars
Back arched against the wall
Hands lost between warm thighs

Sensual bliss found within
Not needing another to bring you sin
Self-lust, and love
Nothing else matters, but this moment

Fingers dancing in honey
Lost inside of warm flesh
Hips gyrating only to match
Soft, hollowed moans

An erotic date, invite for one
Touching, probing, exploring,
Setting the tone for this night's affair
Voyeristic joy, watching this dance

The finale is upon us
Raised flesh of pleasure
Sensations outnumber reactions
Plunging deep within

The final release
Explosive sensations
Pure freedom from societies trappings
Learning to find love in ones self

Just Maybe...
Category: Friends

No, I did not write this.  It was in a bulletin posted by Scylla and I couldn't pass this opportunity to point out the obvious.  These are all things we know...yet always fail to realize.  Live, laugh, and love unconditionally.  Life is too short.

JUST MAYBE.........

Maybe we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, often times, we look so long at the closed door that we don't even see the new one which has been opened for us.

Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives.

Maybe the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Maybe the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; after all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let go of your past mistakes, failures, and heartaches.

Maybe you should dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you dream of, and want to do.

Maybe there are moments in life when you miss someone - a parent, a spouse, a friend, a child, your girlfriend/boyfriend -- -- so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real, so that once they are around you appreciate them more.

Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

Maybe you should always try to put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that something could hurt you, it probably will hurt the other person, too.

Maybe you should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it is simply to leave them alone.

Maybe giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but if it doesn't, be content that it grew in yours.

Maybe happiness waits for all those who cry, all those who hurt, all those who have searched, and all those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of all the people who have touched their lives.

Maybe you shouldn't go for looks; they can deceive; don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one who makes your heart smile.

Maybe you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy.

Maybe . . you should try to live your life to the fullest because when you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling, but when you die, you can be the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Maybe you could repost this message for those people who mean something to you, to those who have touched your life, to those who can and do make you smile when you really need it, to those who make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down, and to all those whom you want to know that you appreciate them and their friendship

What kind of life is this?
Current mood: bummed
Category: Pets and Animals

*Note: This was submitted for the Animals on Death Row **Social Awareness Saturday challenge over at Kinker's Inkers.

Let me first say that the attacks on people by animals in zoos are in NO WAY the fault of the animals.  You CAN NOT tame a wild animal or their natural instincts!!!  I am an avid supporter for animals and you need to stop by the links I posted above to show your support.

What kind of life is this???

Poked and prodded
Exhibited from behind bars
No way out of this cement "home"
Ask me about my scars

Performing tricks
For your sick pleasure
Natural born instincts
I once treasured

Aliens in my world
Snatched me from my mother
As I look through meshed wire
To see my sad brother

On display, you should be ashamed
I am told when to feast
Freedom no longer mine
Is this how you treat your fellow beast?
