06:00 - Discover Spleen Arcana, a prog rock band I sing in :)
Hello guys,
Today I'd like to introduce a new band: Spleen Arcana comes from France, and is headed by a fantastic guitarist, Julien Gaullier (also known as Anaon on the Internet).
Self-taught, Julien was offered his first accoustic guitar by his elder brother at age 11. Since then, he became a multi-instrumentalist, composed his own songs and played with several bands in North West France, notably Shiver.
Spleen Arcana is Julien's latest musical project. Recorded in his own home studio in France, The field were she died is Spleen Arcana's debut LP. It features atmospheric and intense music, modern progressive and metal sounds surrounded by male vocals - a bit like Pink Floyd, early Genesis and Opeth united on one record. Electric guitars meet vintage keyboards and ghostly choirs, while the drums are dramatically performed by David Perron, a fellow musician Julien met while singing in the band Sismic.
The field where she died's tracklist features five epic and yet emotional songs:
Songs followed by a * are songs which I sing on! :)
The field where she died will be released at the end of the year, but in the meanwhile feel free to subscribe to Spleen Arcana's mailing-list to be informed of news, album release and more:
Just to let you know I've just completed my blog's revamping! :-))
Yes, it's in French, but you might still enjoy its design hopefully, and, if you're a kitten, even test it in your favourite browser and report any bug you might encounter.
I wish you all the very best for 2008! I hope New Year's Eve was a blast, and that you drank a lot of water to stay fighting fit ;-)
2007 has been a overbusy, overbooked and generally speaking exhausting year; hopefully I'll have more time in 2008 to develop my own websites, which suffered due to lack of time, and take more care of my numerous friends on the Internet. I'm sorry I couldn't handle to keep in touch with everyone, I do regret it a lot. I do hope I'll have more time to clean my Myspace account in order to use it more effectively.
Not to speak about the lack of updates regarding my digital work. I did complete a few commissions, though, which I'm very proud of. My current priority is La Lune Mauve's final changes before it strikes back, as well as successfully finish my studies in communication and computerized media.
Thank you for your patience & friendship, God bless the Internet!
Just to let you know I've just published my latest work on deviantART: it's Polaris' "The Human Illusion" artwork.
According to their Myspace info, Polaris is "a 5 piece progressive metal band based out of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The band combines technical instrumentation and creative songwriting with powerful vocals and a sheer intensity, to create one of the most original progressive sounds available these days."
I've been lucky to work with bands who play a music I love, most of the time - Polaris is no exception. I advise you to listen to "Oblivion and Persuasion" on their Myspace profile to have an idea of their musical universe. Melodic metal, that is.

Dear Myspace friends,
Today I got a message from someone who asked me to remove him from my friend page since I have never written to him. After I eventually deleted him, I realized maybe I should write a blog post to explain why I'm not more active on Myspace.
Beside the freelance graphic work which keeps me extremely busy, I'm also a college student (2007 is my 6th year), which keeps me even busier. Althrough I like procrastinating, I'm not going to sacrifice my degrees and my commissions only to write "hello! thks 4 the addz" to the 1,000+ "friends" of mine. Sounds logical, doesn't it?...
Basically, when I arrived on Myspace, I was adding many, many people to my friend list, most of them I never talked with - I did add them because of their skills, their interests, their personnalities, hoping I could get in touch with them someday, somehow. I've been here for a long time and I still haven't had enough time to socialize any further on Myspace. I love getting to know people, share some PMs, getting kind comments, like anyone. But I cannot write to you guys as much as I'd like to. It has nothing to do with boredom or lack of interest, it has to do with a full, fucking Donald Trump schedule.
When I'm on vacation (August), I'll take time to scan my friend list and delete the people that I feel I won't ever get in touch with. From now on I'm going to be quite selective towards the people who want to be my friends, I'm not accepting anyone like I used to. It's nothing personal, it's just I don't want to create dramas that happen when you add someone after he asked you to, who you're not gonna talk because you're too damn busy to do so, so that, in the end, this same person is going to ask YOU to REMOVE HIM. Crazy! o_O
I have better things to do, you have too, so let's not take ourselves too seriously and consider Myspace as it is: a raw social network.
Thanks for the patient people and true friends, as always** I'll get back to you as soon as possible, but I'm afraid the sooner will only happen in a few months, to my greatest regrets. It doesn't mean I'm forgetting you, but I need to spend some time on my own life.
Love,
kReEsTaL

First, I wish you all the very very best for 2007: may all your artistic and personal projects become true and make you happy. :) Thanks to those of you who sent me their wishes!*
I'm glad to introduce a new picture I did some months ago, commissioned by a new French fantasy-themed fanzine which is called "Fées Divers" (more info here). Here's a preview of Arana:
My portfolio has been recently hacked, thus I'm currently designing the new version which should be released in a month hopefully. Beside this I'm actively working on several commissions which I'll be soon talking about.
03:07 - Late in replying messages
Current mood: calm
I'm sorry, I'm horribly late in replying the many messages I got on MySpace. :-/ I'll try to catch everything up as soon as possible. Thank you for your wonderful support anyway. ***
