Being in the music industry is one of the hardest things in the world to accomplish. Your only employees are your band members, you don't work 7 hours a day, you work 24/7. Even in your sleep you're dreaming of what to do next to stay ahead of the game. Your personal life becomes none existent and if it does exist, its usually not good news.
This is the Story of Almost Every Single Artist or Band:
Everyday you wait for that ONE phone call, that ONE email, that ONE knock at the door where you only get ONE promotion your entire life. And that's the promotion to become a known artist, musician or band. That contract that sits in front of your face staring at you with that black ball point pen. Your eyes read the words over and over again because you get hallucinated with your own drained brain yet excitement with the same thoughts in your head of "will this contract fuck my life?" From staring at the black and white paper for so long the letters sorta start to get rainbow colored and you forget what the whole contract is about and get lost in the art of the word "royalties." Until the waitress comes over and says "Would you like a refill on that coffee?" You then snap out of it.
As you look up in this diner that this suited up record label guy brought you to, you begin to wonder....."Big record label, suited up business bald man, and I'm supposed to sign this contract while drinking coffee at this IHOP"
You FINALLY come to your senses and answer "I'll talk to my band about this and I'll call you when we've made a....." He cuts you off immediatlly as he was expecting that answer telling you with his cigarette breath "You don't need to ask your band, this is all about you! You're the star"
Your eyes stare into his wondering how this person can be so cold at heart when you've spent all your life and time into where you've taken yourself. You begin to rejudge his appearance with his personality, making a memory bank in your head of what type of person to watch out for next time. You immediately notice the scruff on his face that he seemed to miss shaving in the past 2 days. His horrible tie he probably bought at a Flea Market from the 70s. Who the hell does this ASSHOLE think he is taking me away from my band!?!
You stand up from the table. Open your wallet/purse and put down money to pay for your coffee and tip as you explain "Our band is only this well known because of all of us." You begin to walk away as this A&R guy watches you walk out and he looks at the contract that he presented to you.

Imagine 1 million stories to tell from a time of events that has happened in 1 week. This is the life of a musician. There is a story every minute in our lives it never ends. Everything that you see in interviews, TV shows, Radio.....Its all just one really tiny summary to our truth in our lives that usually never gets revealed. No one ever really finds out the whole truth on musicians until 40 years after they're dead the story gets close, but never solved.
The closest thing anybody can every discover to finding the full truth of a musician is within their music. Their music always tells the truth. Written in poetry with a much much deeper meaning than what it really seems. Never think an artist writes simple or silly lyrics, you would be only looking at the shell and never really breaking into the real prize on the inside.
This is also why its so important to help out musicians that are climbing that ladder to make it in their lives to live their dreams. To write another song, another day. To tell another story of our millions of stories to tell, hoping that someone out there in this world can finally understand us in our real true lives hidden in poetry of our songs.

Dear MySpace Friends,
All I can say is: HOLLY SHIT! Cali effin rocked! It was such a great turn out at our shows and our trip was killer fun! Before I move on about our trip, first I really want to thank those that came to our shows and supported us!
Here's some photos from our performance at DRAGONFLY:
I'm still uploading more and more photos haha, so many to go through. But while we were there in CA, we had a camera crew follow us around to record a completely unscripted segment about my band. I love being true to myself, and love being absolutely truthful to all of you as well!
When we first arrived, we were immediately on camera in our hotel room. We got our things together to go on Melrose to do a bit of shopping for fun :) We found some kick ass outfits and then went to go get a bite to eat at Johnny Rockets.
The next day was our performance Day at DragonFly. It was amazing! I got to meet so many people and best of all, our band got to experience our first performance as a band! YEA!
I woke up early the next morning as I was a special guest on PLAYBOY Radio for dating game show where I was the judge on what type of guy I would date and not date. It was TONS of fun!
Afterwards, my band and I got together with our friend Justin to do a photoshoot. It went very well! I'll have pix to show you soon!
That night was our performance at Paladinos! Pix for that coming soon as well, so many to upload lol.

Dear Myspace Friends and Fans,
My band and I are all set and ready to go for the big trip to CA! :) We're very excited for this being our first performance together as a band. Although we have MANY years of experience on stage in our past, this will be a huge leap for all of us being together as a full band now.
We've been practicing very hard these past few days to make guarentee that our performance will KICK ASS for you guys!

As you have seen, I've been tossing around so many hints about the idea of my new band. :) Well, the time is getting closer and closer for me to reveal more and more :) I'm super pooper happy about this, not kidding. I know lots of you have been wondering what exactly is going on and whenever I do go out and about I get so many people asking about my band....
So here are some facts and FAQ I get from fans about my new band to update you or clear any rumors: (All questions asked below are questions sent in by fans that I get daily.)
-What name did you finally come up with for the band? KRYSTAL BLUE'S AFFLICTION
-What influenced you to get that name? I used my blog where each fan had posted their idea for a band name for my band. A majority liked for me to keep my name in there some how. I added Affliction because not only is it businessly stating a different project separate from just "Krystal Blue" but the word itself is the exact meaning behind all of my songs.
-The style is HardRock/Alternative with a little bit of Metal.
-Will you be screaming in your music? Yes! Not all the time, but you will hear screaming from me.
-I have a Guitarist, Drummer, and Bass Player.
-Is the style anything close the the music you've done in the past? Not at all. This is a whole NEW style and a Whole new Project.
-When will music finally be posted? After THIS weekend. (Check the date of when this blog was posted please)
-In your songs, what are you mostly singing about? My songs have my anger and pain in them more than anything else. Some songs I sing about my brother, some are about a situation I had with an old ex from the past, another song is about my ex best friend and what had happened. Each song has its own pain in them. Other songs I have are about mystery and distortion in my life. Every single song I have with this band is about my life right now
-Where will you be performing first? The phone is ringing off the hook right now, so to determine which city and state will be first is hard to answer at this time. But I can say there are a lot of events being booked up all over Texas right now.

-What's the image going to be like? Definitely more GRUNGE and rock style to our image. As you can see in my new default ;)
