Another One Bites The Dust
Current mood: accomplished
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

Today was my last day at Ag Canada! And while I certainly had hoped that I'd feel exuberant as I turned in my pass key, coveralls, payout information and signed all the necessary documents, instead I'm left feeling a bit sad.

Who else has had a job where you get cow slobber and TMR (feed) swiped all over your face (because you were lucky enough to be licked! hah), and your co-workers don't even flinch as they look you in they eye, talk to you, and watch you walk around like an ass with gunk all over you? (Evidently, shit on your face isn't as socially unacceptable as having salad stuck in your teeth). Or where your bosses are around, and think it's charming that you're swearing and trying to scoop the puddle of cow shit out of the depths of your ear? Or yell at you for chewing crazy glue off of your fingertips, (you've just finished gluing velcro to a cow's head) because you've been playing in shit all day without washing your hands?
I still have a mark on my shin from being kicked by a cow... back in July. Love tap.

These are the days of having a strong immune system, and maybe a bit of balls, my friends! Thank god I grew up doing dumb stuff like that, otherwise Id'a been crippled my first week of work!!

I've never had a job before that left me feeling like I was making a difference to such an important cause (animal welfare and behavior). I really worked hard at that job, but I'm satisfied with what I've learned and accomplished. And while I've had my share of being shit on at work (literally!) in the past, this was a job where I didn't really mind it too much. Mostly because I know I can get clean again... I tortured my family life by coming home stinking of dairy barn every day (even earned the moniker 'barn head'), exhausted from my 200 km commute, and all the while knowing that 'this too shall pass'.

So now it's passed, and I'm about to embark on a whole new career. One that will let me visit farms at least, and maybe I'll be able to apply some of the things I've been lucky enough to learn out in the barn.

But I'll be able to do it on bankers hours ;)

'Getting Cows' out at Farm No. 2, Agassiz. Look how clean my boots were then! You should see them NOW!

Putting a collar on a heifer in the parlour...

Cutting off IceTag data loggers with pointy scissors. This is how I spent the past 4 months of my employment - trying my hardest not to get my face kicked in. I actually didn't do too badly - some scraped knuckles, a barbed wire slice. Not too shabby!

*PhotoBlog* A Wake for Bruce Banks

Well, there are firsts for everything! Lola Frost and I were invited to perform at Bruce Banks' wake on June 3rd at the Penthouse. Although I only had the pleasure of meeting Bruce once at Heath's stag, I definitely will remember him. And everyone who had a chance to speak at the wake had nothing but great memories to share!

Thanks to everybody that came out and supported the night – it was important to everyone in so many ways, and it was great to see a turnout like that.

All of these photos were taken and shared by the amazingly talented Mr. Frank Roberts. Thank you so much for snapping us – we truly love all of your photos!!

The night was put together by fabulous Melissa, who even did her own drag act, much to everyone's enjoyment. The gown she wore is vintage, and belonged to her grandmother. Classy ladies!! :D

The evening was hosted by the endearing Chris – he kept everything running, and was an amazing emcee!

And of course, who could forget our amazing stage hand, the lovely Mister Samuel Black. He played along with us, picked up our pasties, and even took a turn on the pole! It was awesome!!

We started the night out with the gorgeous Lola Frost driving the folks crazy. Some sassy stuff!!

Shakin it!

Why thanks, gentlemen!! What a lovely gesture! ?

Then I went and did a little bit 'o' Minnie The Moocher…

*** WARNING*** You'll find that Mr. Roberts is talented in photographing our assets. Rawr! More of these to come!!

We took a breather, then I did a balloon dance to 'Here Comes The Snake' by Cherry Poppin Daddies. Check out my ass pasties, while I'm twirling the snake around hahaha… good times.

Glitter glitter, everywhere!! Poor Lola got to dance in the aftermath of the glitter storm…. Aww…

..

***WARNING*** A hot ass shot!!!

Then the Lovely Lola picked up the pace a notch… My my, she made EVERYBODY sweat!!

Another break, then one more scorching set… it was HOTTTT in there!!
Lola performing a favorite of mine…

***WARNING*** Yet another hot and bothering ass shot!!!

My Lola Frost, you are SUCH a tease!!

SAUCY!!!

And yet another round of Fembot Fever… an oldie, but it seems to be requested lol… Gurr Baby!!

What's that? You wanna see tatas?? Are you kidding me?

***WARNING*** Ass shot… you know the drill

Swing it!

***WARNING*** Cheesy grins to follow!! I have no idea why I was smiling that way hahaha…

Final bows!! An end to a kickass night! We hope that Bruce enjoyed every minute of it, and that everybody else felt the same! ?

Burlesque Bombshells Hit Vernon Feb 3rd!

Well, our weekend roadtrip to Vernon BC Feb 3rd was a smash success! Miss Rosie Bitts, Champagne Sparkles, Le Chat Noir and myself introduced much of the crowd to what burlesque is all about, and everyone had a great time. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us - you guys RAWK!!

Special thanks to Shane and Bryan for putting this together for us – you treated us like freakin' ROCK STARS, and we had the best time thanks to you and your organization / 'Non Promoter'/ lighting/ sound skills. Le Chat Noir – you are ranked no.1 as our favorite straight girl / pickup artiste. Thanks for playing along so well!! ;)

Also, thanks to Sarah for being the best damn security / body guardess that we could have ever asked for (ah! And we even have a picture of her and her pipes comin' up!). And, thank you to 'The Guys' (Gregor, Trevor, Ryan, Chef, Scannel) who drove all the way from Vancouver just to see our show – next time we'll hire you as our 'burlesque techs' ;) The world needs more roadies. And of course, we can't forget to thank the Pistolettos who braved the roads and dragged their asses out to see us! Thanks so much, ladies! :D

Shut Up And FIGHT! Dec. 1/06, Vernon BC
Current mood: accomplished

I got to play Emcee for this awesome mixed-martial-arts event held in Vernon on Friday night... It was a pretty big learning experience, but all in all, I had a wicked time. I got to stand in the ring and announce the fights to more than 800 people! Thanks to Shane, Les, Dangerous Clothing, and everyone who worked so hard to make the night run flawlessly! It was an honour to be included in your show. ;)

Pre-Show Shots of my outfit for the 'ring'...

My Tenille stopped by the room on our way to the venue... I wish she lived closer. Le Chat Noir is always guaranteed to create a good time ;)

Me and Jackie before the fights - she was the sexy-assed card girl! :)

Of course, a night out showing off wouldn't be complete without some boobie-grabbin!

Lucky Gregor...

Pics of SHANE, THE NON-PROMOTER (for that's what he shall be known as forever hahah - inside joke), Jackie and Me...

Lucky Gregor...

AND THAT'S ALL THE DECENT PHOTOS I got from the night :( I ended up taking that camera back today, due to the disappointing quality of the action shots, both from this show, and the Burlesque Show at the Lamplighter last night... I'm bummed out, but I did get a couple of videos anyway...
Can't wait to do it again! :D

Kootenay Road Trip!
Current mood: accomplished

Okay, so this is the beginnings of my photoblog from this past weekend... I'll keep adding to it as the week wears on (there's a whole other camera full of awesomeness!!)

I was invited to travel with Chaz Royal's Infamous Burlesque this weekend to go to Nelson and Fernie and perform. It was so much fun, and I learned TONS. I can't wait to do it again...

So, here we go... I'm not going to post any 'non show' photos of the other girls until I get their okay... there are some gooders. Special thanks to CYNTHIA who came all the way from Deathbridge to see me - thanks for being the photgrapher in Fernie!! xoxox

Farrah and Max Royal... not even in Nelson yet, and they're both passed out. Awww!!

NELSON BC: Turnout - Roughly 200!! It was so packed, and it was an awesome crowd...

Turns out we were the 'Ravenhaired Revue'... ssssssmokin. Pre-show shots in Nelson.

Ms Farrah Moans getting ready to go in her DAREDEVIL outfit. If you haven't seen that act yet, you MUST. It's fucking wicked. Especially when she doesn't use the double sided tape ;)

FERNIE BC:
First act... Dancing to "In The Mood"....

TASSLES UP, BITCHES!!! Hahahaha... who knew my bewbies could be so talented? ;)

ACT 2 - Balloon Dance to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust".

OOOOH! Did I just lose all my balloons? Yup... hahaha... not the only wardrobe malfunction to happen to me though...

No Crotch Pheasants live Here!! :)

Fuckin Rights, Boobies! I'm getting better at that shit!

ACT 3: Austin Powers / Shiny Toy Guns FEMBOT!!!
Yeah, I actually blew a pastie in this one... ah well. I did recover... good times!

Laughing... Can you see my 'male' symbol? That's right, 'Silly boy, gonna make you cry!'

Me yelling at the audience... they weren't loud enough. And if you're not loud, I don't take my clothes off. 'Cause that's how I roll.

ROAD TRIP HOME
Well, we made it in one piece. Time's fun, but loooong when you're in a minivan with 4 other people for a 12 hour stretch!! Ah well... I'd do it all again in a heart beat!

I shit you not... we were in South Park. Okay, well, maybe it was really Keremeos. But still... this sign ROCKED.

Boobie Beads, Tiki Head, and Bare Feet... theme to the weekend, of course ;)

MORE TO COME.... I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED!!! :)

A NIGHT OF DIRTY ROCK N ROLL BURLESQUE!!!
Current mood: bouncy

Well, I popped my burlesque cherry on JUNE 22nd... Here are SOME of the photos. THANK YOU SHANNON for taking them!! Also to My Lovely "Faerie Bad" for sending hers as well!

This is the Crowd... the place was pretty full!

My First Dance... the Balloon Dance!! I danced to 'Turn Me On, Mr. Deadman' by The Union Underground. It was SOO MUCH FUN! And everyone liked my balloons being popped by my black drumsticks lol... I didn't get down to my pasties for this dance, but it was still hot I think!

My next dance was to 'Cherry Pie' by Warrant. CHEESY! Yes oh yes... but it was still fun. I wasn't a fan of how my corset turned out when I was moving around, so next time I think I'll have to go with all PVC for the outfit. I did get right down to my pasties, but I don't think it was that pretty - the club was SOOOO HOT - none of our pasties were staying on very well due to the sweating! hah.

..

Me and Shan after the show. She says I had salty bewbies. And I don't doubt it. I WAS SWEATY!!! haha... Ah well, at least she still found me attractive ;)
