Important Ticket Information
Current mood: focused

Notes on Tickets:

While  music only tickets are nearly sold out, you will still be able to buy day tickets and weekend passes once these are all gone.  Different types of tickets each have allocation limits ....

Also Ladyfest being Ladyfest, there will be a very small number of each
type of ticket set aside for EXCLUSIVE sale on the door. This is for a bunch of reasons including:

 a. not to exclude you if you haven't got a bank card or a cheque book

b. not to turn into a wanky SOLD OUT smug fest.

If this is you…. Be sure to check door times to make sure you don't miss out…. But buying in advance through us or wegottickets is still better…

Daisies film screening - 26 Feb

WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT VERA CHYTILOVA'S 1966 FEATURE FILM 'DAISIES' (88 mins, Czech)

IN THE CELLAR OF  BAR PRAGUE, KINGSLAND RD, E2 at 19.30 on Tuesday 26th Feb 08

Admission 3 Quid.

This event is a benefit event to raise money for the LADYFEST LONDON FILMS programme, coming 9-11 May to the Islington Arts Factory.

www.ladyfestlondon.co.uk  www.myspace/ladyfestlondon

'A freewheeling, madcap feminist farce which wasimmediately banned by the government.'

Two girls named Marie see the world around them as being inhabited by a spoiled society. The Maries decide they should be given such allowances and embark on a rebellious streak of what seem to be harmless pranks. However, each of the moves is loaded with consequences that soon snowball into serious trouble. This freewheeling 1966 gem of the Czech New Wave is an attack on consumerism and materialism as well as many other aspects the male dominated society of the time. Director Vera Chytilova weaves togetherthis absurdist allegorical work by avoiding a common narrative structure. Instead DAISIES fills the screen with surreal comedy and unforgettable images of ranging misguided youthful protest to seriouspolitical commentary. This

'Daisies is one of the most unique films I've ever seen.'

'If you want to see something really different, then check out 'Daisies'.The finale is quite something.'
