New Cover!!
Category: Writing and Poetry
Look at the cover for my upcoming release, DANCING WITH THE DEVIL (Dec '08)! As lovely as it is on its own, I think it's even better next to the first book in the series, THE DEVIL'S DAUGHTER. So I posted them both.

My Yankees lost. I'm trying to get over it, but it'll take me a while.
In the meantime, it's October, the month of many things.
The first is the release of my fun new cover. The second is that it's Thanksgiving weekend! The third is that it's our 13th anniversary this month And, of course, it's Halloween
So to celebrate all the fun, I'm giving away a bigger prize this month on my website. To enter, just sign my guestbook and you're in! Good luck!!

The Champion
My friend Heather Grothaus has a new book out, called "The Champion." If I had any web savvy whatsoever, I'd be able to include a picture of the cover, but that's not going to happen, so instead. . .here's what I can post about it:
THE CHAMPION
England 1076. An era of kings and their loyal knights, of grand castles and courts, and of passions too bold to be denied. Brought to life with power and grace, this is the story of a nobleman in need of a wife...and the woman who offers him the love of a lifetime.
Nicholas FitzTodd, Baron of Crane, has little interest in marriage-- the privileges of rank are too many and too pleasurable. But when the bride he finally chooses refuses him, he takes out his frustration in wine and women. Simone du Roche is but another lovely temptation, until a moment of indiscretion results in a hasty wedding. Nick is furious--Simone may be beautiful, but she is nearly penniless and rumored to be mad...
Simone hardly expects her reluctant husband to believe that her young brother's ghost has followed her to England--or that she suspects his death was murder. Marriage to the fierce, guarded Nicholas is difficult enough. But when she learns the truth behind her brother's death, a dangerous family secret threatens the fragile peace she and Nicholas have acheived, and she must risk everything she holds dear to prove that her love is worth fighting for...
4 Stars - "...rich in historical detail and ancient magic...Readers will enjoy this battle of the sexes." - Romantic Times BOOKReviews
"A must-read story of a wounded hero, a heroine with a secret, a mischievous ghost, and villains galore, set in the high tension period of the early years of William's conquest." -- Rosemary Laurey, USA Today bestselling author

singing
I was driving into Vancouver today and needed some new music for the trip. But it couldn't be just any old music, it needed to be good music; music I could turn up REALLY loud and sing along with until my throat ached.
Enter Garth Brooks Double Live CDs. Hilarious!! If you've never seen GB in concert, then you might not appreciate the CD as much as you should, but I"m tellin' ya - it's just like being there. He gets that crowd worked up into such a frenzy, it's unbelievable. And then he started in with the first 3 chords of Friends in Low Places, and the noise from the crowd is hilarious. There I was, driving through the chaos that is the highway these days, laughing out loud to myself as I relived the 3 GB concerts I got to go to way back when. And, of course, the best part is when he starts up the 3rd verse of FiLP - what a good time that was.
That's it. That's all I have to share today. :)
