"A really growing and living musical organism...You need to let release have its space and flow as it twists and turns into corners one wasn't looking for it to go into.".."TODESBONDEN could be one of the stand outs in Prophecy roster in 2008." - ABSOLUTE ZERO MEDIA
"TODESBONDEN fascinate us and create a work somewhere between Dead Can Dance, 3rd And The Mortal and Loreena McKennitt, far surpassing the horizons of Metal." - IMPERIUMI

Jens Bogren + Todesbonden
I am happy to say that Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Pain of Salvation, Soilwork, Daylight Dies) from Fascination Street Studios in Sweden is producing and mixing the upcoming Todesbonden album.
So far he is a very sweet guy with an excellent ear.
I found a little tiny picture of him:

It is a great honor.
Beyond just honor however, on a musical level, I love the work he has done.
So, I look forward to seeing what he does with Todesbonden, we are very different in style I think from other stuff he has produced.
I think that he may be done with mixing/producing by the end of this week. After that, I go to master the album here in Virginia.
If you want to hear his other work go here: http://www.myspace.com/katatonia http://www.myspace.com/daylightdies

FRIENDS REQUESTS , COMMENTS, and EMAILS
Hello Hello :)
I just wanted to let everyone know that has e-mailed me or commented or to whom I have not written back yet.
I am sorry if I haven't responded or have taken a long time to do so. I am so distracted recently with musical things and life things that I haven't been as expedient as I would want to be.
Just keep in mind that it is not a slight or anything, just really busy.
I like to respond to anyone who writes me, so I will get back to you eventually!
Until then Cheers and Hugs!

Heathen Crusade Festival
"I haven't had much time to update about the Heathen Crusade. However, the event deserves to be honored so I will take the time to do it now. It was a very worthy event and I feel that going to it was definiately beneficial for Todesbonden. It was an extremely long drive out there in which we had to stop halfway at my friend Joe's house. (which was a welcome treat anyways) I sang onstage for the first time ever being dead cold sober. I made the decision to be without this time. It was a test. This was the largest crowd Todesbonden had played infront of thus far I needed to know that I could do it. The result? Fear.
While setting up we took a long time (because of the guitar issue), but luckily we had the most amazing announcer help to fill the time (Nathan was his name??) He was brilliant and had people laughing. Huge deep bows to Nathan. Not to mention he bought our shirt and was wearing it the rest of the night. What a blessing he was. With all technical difficulties aside, our response was rather amazing. It was great to see such a large amount of people yelling "hey, hey, hey. hey" during our set. Such a rush. It also felt good to know that inspite of our completely different sound (which was airy fairy in comparison) to the rest of the bands because they were extreme metal with mostly death style vocals, that some people were open enough to accept us anyways. It however didn't keep my legs from shaking the entire time, leaving the stage I could hardly walk. It was a fantastic event, sound in the front of the house was very good. The people that attended were amazing. The crew, organizers were beyond supportive. I would play again if asked."- Laurie Ann Haus

A Midwinter Nights Dream Concert Jan 14, 2006
"TODESBONDEN was offered a headlining slot at Jaxx Nightclub on the evening of Saturday Jan 14th, 2006, so I decided to find other bands to play with us that we thought would be complimentary in style (Brave, Shroud of Bereavement, Withersoul, and Xeper).
The attendance, despite of the weather (fierce wind, a bit of snow, hail), being the 3rd time Todesbonden has ever played live, and having 3 bands that were not considered 'local', was rather high.
Once again we had the fabulous Zane Marshall doing our sound and as before, we heard many compliments, both on our band and Zane.
Due to a later load-in time then expected we weren't able to get a board recording which was a slight dissapointment.
All the bands played rather well and we were thrilled to see the hall so full by the time our set started.
We were able to sell enough CDs and T-shirts to help fund our upcoming 20 hour drive to Minnesota to play the Heathen Crusade Festival which was extremely helpful because we feared we would lose a lot of money on that adventure.
I was very thankful to see our friends and family that came out to support us and to the bands that put in hard work into bringing people out." -Laurie Ann Haus

CONCERT W/ THERION (SEPT 16TH)
"TODESBONDEN had a fantastic time playing with Therion this last Friday (Sept 16th). We had Zane Marshall (NIN, Pantera, Wrathchild America) engineer our sound and he did a fantastic job at it. I would say we got as many compliments about our sound as we did our music. That is the first time that (hearing compliments about our sound engineer) has ever happened to me in my entire musical career (which is really not that long however)
We played new songs from our upcoming album Ghost of the Crescent Moon. Much to our pleasure they were received rather well. The crowds ovewhelming response to us suprised me a bit but I am not complaining about it.
I look forward to playing more shows. The only unfortunate part was the fact that we lost some very important drum gear that evening. We are not sure where it went. But it is still missing and we are assuming it is lost forever.
We are extremely pleased with how many of our friends and family supported us so fervently and we really could have not asked for a better evening in any way. I guess being able to use my in ear monitors would have made the show even better, but it all worked out in the end and according to other people in the crowd I didn't go off pitch because of that factor.
It was a fantastic evening that I will treasure forever." - Laurie Ann Haus
There are some pictures of the show at www.todesbonden.com and a review here.
