I Have Pink Eye and Other Stunning News (p.s. Happy New Year!)
Hello fellow peoples,
I am back with a brand new attitude, and pink eye! My son is going to this fabulous new pre-school that we love very much. But along with little ones communing in a smallish building all day comes things that'll make your whole family sick as a dog. I think it's still worth him going though - he LOVES it: ) And as it turns out pink is a pretty good color for me anyway. On an incredibly sad note, my father Jim Bingham passed away in early November. I am still grieving and don't want to say much more than that. He was an amazing human and I will miss him every day for the rest of my life. I will also try to honor him in those days by being the best woman I can be because I will always be his daughter and he, my father, friend and biggest fan. Literally a few hours before I was told my father had died, I met up with Matt (Sixpence band mate) for coffee. He got married back in May and had been in Italy for 6 months. I was looking forward to seeing him and hearing about their travels! While he was away we had both been thinking about the band and what we had all those years and what we took for granted. We were missing each other and the gift that I believe God gave us- I knew before that the two of us were more powerful than one of us alone, but it was becoming more obvious as time ticked by. We realized we were on the same page and decided to make Sixpence None the Richer records for the next 2,000 to 3,000 years!!!! Seriously- as long as we can: ) We are in the middle of making an EP right now that will be available soon! We also have a tour planned beginning in April. Yay!!! These things started happening almost immediately after we decided to start up the engines again. Amazing! I am so thankful and excited for the future. There is a Sixpence myspace page in the works and many details to come about the tour, EP etc very soon... I know this has been a mixed bag of blog; gross, sad and very exciting, but that's what life is I guess - gross, sad and very exciting!!!!! I am now sapped and my eyes are swollen and have turned an angry bright pink!!!
Love to you all!

Saints And Sinners
so hi there. i guess it's about time i said a big howdy doo to ya'll. Sorry I've been so out of touch. In this blog I'm afraid i will disappoint many, make some very sad and possibly anger some (those people can please go quietly out the back door: ) I've struggled with when and how much information is appropriate to give out , you that have been so supportive of me and my music. I'm just gonna write, probably melt into tears a few times and be done with it. My family has gone through a massive upheaval in the last year. My marriage of 11 years has ended. Now I'm crying. I was so proud to carry that badge of a ten year marriage around like it defined me, it was me, and I do to this day adore Mark. He is my best friend still. We are both still a little at a loss for answers but are doing well as time is beginning to heal the hurt places. For those of you in new marriages or marriages that are time and stress tested and still happy, I say never stop working on it. Cliche, certainly, but so incredibly true. We marched steadily ahead while ignoring the problems rushing in the back door. We never went into those dark rooms until the ship had sunk for lack of a better analogy. God is beside us in this time. There is something holy, i believe, in the way we are able to exist as a functioning family for our son. Mark is an amazing parent and is with Henry and I every evening for dinner and mornings before school. There are no suitcases packed, he's secure that he's got one home and that his mom and dad love him to pieces. There is nothing in the world I wanted less than to lose the safety of what I thought we had. But we are both finding small miracles that are happening in our lives of desparately needed change. Maybe this is far too much information and I am suffering diarrhea of the mouth as usual, but I am what I am for today. I really didn't want to disappoint anyone, I'm sorry I have fallen. But there is beauty in brokeness and I may have set the record for brokeness, so If that's true we may all come out like shiny new pennies. If you've done something you worry is too much that you'll never recover from or can't be forgiven for please look up and cry some tears, be vulnerable, ask to be healed and be free. Afterall, we're all Saints and Sinners.
A beautiful new day to you and yours,
Leigh with the Temporarily Broken Wings

A Note about Fauxliage
Hi everyone,
So today the new Fauxliage album is out. Fauxliage is a collaboration between myself and Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber from Delerium. This is a very personal project for me. The words to these songs were born out of raw emotion, and I am very proud of the outcome. I listen to these songs and am thankful that time is over and glad something so beautiful came from it. I like sad songs and these hit the mark for me.
You can listen to the music here . It's also available to buy from Amazon and iTunes
if you'd like to get a copy.
Enjoy!
Leigh

New collaboration project with Delerium
On August 14th, Fauxliage will release their new album...titled Fauxliage. Fauxliage is actually an entire album of collaborations between Delerium and Leigh.
You may remember previous collaborations with Delerium, as Leigh sung on their hit single "Innocente (Falling In Love)" from the album Poem and contributed two songs, "Run For It" and "Orbit of Me" to the band's subsequent Chimera.
Click here to check out the new ear candy...as well as request their friendship.

After the Bed is Made and thanks a lot Lifetime
hey Girlz,
just wanted to alert you to the new song on my page. I wrote it with Trent Dabbs (see top 8), he is great!~ Anyway the song was written for a Lifetime show called State of Mind. I don't think they're using it though. Sad, sad eyes because of this. Thanks a lot Lifetime, all the hours I put in with my sister watching movies with Judith Light or Meridith Baxter Burney, and this is what I get. Thank you. I'm still going to watch Golden Girls religiously, but still you get a scarcastic thank you. Anyway you can maybe enjoy the song...if you like it, you'll enjoy it. That's just the way things work. I'm writing lots of songs and doing good! Hope you're all well too: )
Love,
Leigh

HI! I'm doing FINE!
I know it sounds awfully cryptic, me not doing the rest of that tour: ) We are all in good health, it was purely a business decision. If you get a chance you MUST get out to see Tyrone and Ernie Halter, they're fabulous! It's hard for me to find balance being an artist and a mother. Mother is my number one job, sorry I must seem like a complete flake, someday I'll put some good time in on the road again. But when that day comes I'll have Henry in tow: ) Hope you're all well!

T-Shirt Winner Announced
We wanted to thank everyone who turned in a design for Leigh’s T-Shirt Design Contest. The entries and participation were mind blowing! Great job everybody!
Though all the designs were lovely, we could only pick one to be included in Leigh’s official tour merchandise. The winning design, which will be included in Leigh tour merchandise, was created by Cara Neilson of Long Beach, California.
