Bad car accident in Gulf Breeze Sunday Night
Category: Parties and Nightlife
So I'm sitting here drinking my champagne. I have the windows open slightly to air out the cigarette smoke. I hear a loud crash*BOOM*! It's pretty obvs that it was a nasty car crash. I would drive to the scene of said accident on Gulf Breeze Parkway only my tag is now expired because it is August, not July, so I remain and wait for the sirens of the ambulance. It's Sunday night about 3am. Apparently some douchebag drank too much at the beach and I hope nobody is hurt. I hope it's no one I know who went to Sunday Charlie Banana's. I hear the sirens now.

Drinking on a Budget: How-To. Part II
Category: Parties and Nightlife
The recession is here! If you like to imbibe flavored alcoholic beverages but can't afford the pricey brand name flavors coming out everyday, here's how to improvise. (Disclaimer: This probably will not work with pomegranates. Pomegranates have invaded every flavor of our life including gum, vodka, and chocolate! Enough with the pomegranates!)
What You Need:
1. Cheap Champagne (You can also use expensive champagne but I do not recommend this because you will ruin the flavor that was intended for you. If you have a special bottle sitting around the house that you received as a wedding gift or bought for a special occasion, then there is no need to deviate from the experience of a good bottle of champagne!) 2. Cherries or Black Cherries from the produce section at your grocer. 3. Ice 4. Stemmed champagne glasses. (any glass will do. Do not use plastic or styrofoam! Stemmed glasses are usually reserved for keeping wine and champagne at the right temperature but in this case since you are using ice, so it really doesn't matter what type of glass you use. I prefer the stemmed glass because I love the way it makes me feel divine.)
What You Do:
1. Refrigerate Champagne (If you don't feel like waiting for it to become cold, it's OK because you can use ice.) 2. Pour some champagne in the glass about halfway. Don't pour too quickly! It will bubble up and then you'll have a mess. Save room for the cherries and ice. 3. Take a cherry out of produce bag and split apart with your fingers over a champagne glass. You will see the dark juice float into the champagne glass. Drop cherry into glass. 4. Repeat step 3 twice. If you want more, great! I usually have 3-5 cherries floating in my glass at one given time. It makes for a very yummy lunch. 5. Finally, after you have saturated your cheap champagne with cherries and achieved the desirable color, add a few cubes or crushed ice. 6. Enjoy!

Drinking on a Budget: How-To. Part I

Recession got you down? Don't own a blender?
Most of us who agree we are in a recession will concur that luxuries such as alcohol take a back seat to food and gasoline. Worry no more! You can have your frozen margarita and drink it too. (Disclaimer: This recipe is intended for people who chose not to get married and did not receive a blender as a wedding gift or just can't afford one. This recipe is not.for.you if you own a blender.)
What You Need:
1. 6 bottles Mike's Hard Lemonade* (I prefer Mike's Hard LIGHT Lemonade) 2. 1 freezer 3. 20-30 minutes 4. Sharp object such as long thin knife. 4. Margarita Glass (any glass will do. Do not use plastic or styrofoam!)
What You Do:
1. Place 1-2 bottles in freezer for 20 minutes. (freezer time may vary) 2. Remove bottle from freezer and after removing the cap, poke a hole in the frozen top to release the frozenness of the slushy goodness. 3. Use the knife to break up the frozen pieces and pour into glass. (If you are having trouble and only getting liquid but not slushy goodness, use the knife around the edges inside of the bottle to get the frozen parts.) 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for 2nd bottle. Always have a 2nd bottle in freezer, this way you will never have to settle for regular refrigerated hard lemonade. 5. Enjoy!
*You can use:
Mike's Hard-a-rita: 8% alcohol. (comes in 4-pack only.)(use responsibly.) Mikes hard Lemonade: 5 % alcohol. Mike's Hard LIGHT Lemonade: 4% alcohol.

partition
Current mood: productive
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes
I'm turning a 8X4 part of my teeny apartment into an office. I'll be not only studying from home but also working from home in this space. I'm searching for office partition type material to help me designate this space. My new home office has a door to the outside, a window and a closet. The dimensions are small but do-able. I will use the closet as a stackable filing system. I'm excited to have an office with a window. And when friends and family stop by I have a door hangar not unlike the ones in hotels and resorts that will alert you that I''m busy. I love this new use of my space.
I'm having trouble finding affordable partition for even my small space. I haven't found any under $300 for and 8X4 and this troubles me. I am going to scourge the classifieds for a makeshift partition that is affordable. If you have any ideas besides the really cool wooden screen room dividers found on target.com for $99.99 each please let me know. Other wise Target most likely will get my money.

I only have about a hundred of these floating around out there. Here's my latest one using web 2.0. I usually lose interest after a few months but always like to try new platforms and play with the controls and tweak the code:
