I'm in a weird 'in between paycheck' period and don't have any funds coming in for 3 weeks. phooey.

Saw the HerShorts film series tonight. Overall it was very good. There were a few that I didn't like but some I really did. I'd like to see more things like that in the future.

I missed the first half of the Office season finale. I was looking forward to it, but the last half was very interesting.

Back to my peas.

What a nice movie. I enjoyed it very much. Good cast ( Tom Waits played an interesting role as well as Will Arnett from Arrested Development and the kid from Almost Famous whose name eludes me ) and a lovely soundtrack ( Lots of Gogol Bordello). It was interesting and 'indie' but not so out of the box that it came across as an aesthetically pleasing polished piece of crap ( ie: Science of Sleep). I'll probably end up buying it.

I finally wrote Calzone back, declining the unpaid internship they offered me. I was amazed to hear back with the offer of meeting with the owner tomorrow and discussing a paid position! They really liked me and my stuff! I'm so excited I could just squeal. This is the closest thing I can get to my dream job in this city. The firm's awesome, the people amazing and the location fan-fucking-tastic ( I can ride my bike to work!). Ah, I'm keeping my breath held and fingers crossed until after 1:30 tomorrow. I plan on taking a late lunch and going to see them after they return from the Ad-Fed luncheon.

new job

So, my new job. I'm, working for a company called SendClaim. They make software for doctor's offices and Hospitals to do medical billing. I'm redesigning their website and creating other collatoral for them. Right now its hourly and when I finish all of their creative crap I'll go on as salary and work as an IT support operator, assisting in troubleshooting and installing our software. Meh. It's not what I went to school for and that bums me out but so far it's been pretty good. I really want a job in my field but for now everyone here is very nice, it's just a couple miles from home, they provide me with insurance after my probationary period and I have fairly good job security. I was offered the position at Calzone, the one I was going ape-shit over, but it was an unpaid internship with only the possibilty of going full-time aftwerwards :( I'm hoping to talk to them and see if anything else can be done. It's good to be employed again and payday is this Friday. Woohoo. I'm going to buy something ridiculous and/or frivolous. Maybe new shoes. Fuck yeah.

Brad Neely and things.

I've been so lazy today & it feels great. I spent the last hour or so watching The Professor Brothers and I am Babycakes. I love Brad Neely. I've also been making a very expensive Ebay wishlist of crap I will never be able to afford. I'd like to get a bit more photo equipment. A fisheye & fixed 50 lens and an external flash. Shit, maybe even some Umbrella lamps, cause why the fuck not.

Also I start my new job monday, 8-5. Woot. I bought new clean socks and everything :). It will be nice to be productive (and not broke) again.

I have stayed in my pajamas all day. Awesome.

Lindsay is running low on both space and money. I've become quite the hoarder lately and I need more space in my house and less space in my wallet. Help me out and take some of my crap and keep me from getting evicted ! Yaaay. :D

good shape. never wrecked. tires need a bit o air and chains a bit o WD40, otherwise perfect. $30 OBO

Excercise Bike. Fancy one with electronic pulse rate and calories burned and fan thingie and whatnot. Comfortable and works perfectly. $45 OBO

Everlast Boxing setup. 75 lb heavy bag and speedbag all on black metal weighted frame. Doesn't take up much space. Paid over $200 will take $100 or best offer. Pair of pink boxing gloves included (for the ladies, haha)

Cherry Wood Rolling laptop cart. Has a spot for mouse or other accessories and an adjustable rack for your laptop. Can be locked into place. Very convenient to have. I've spent many an hour working from my couch on this bad boy. Paid $60 will take $30 OBO.

I have an interview Friday with Calzone Designs. Words can't express how ecstatic I am. Although I haven't heard much word of mouth about the company I checked out their website and it's EXACTLY what I've been looking to do. They have big clients like Festival International, Charley G's and AOC. This could be it for me and I sincerely hope things go well. I tried out the diner gig for a few weeks and it's just not for me, as Jimmy Guidry was eager to point out as he "ended our working relationship". Hahaha. I really did suck so I'm not offended at all. I am worried about making ends meet this month though and slightly disappointed that I turned down a temp. position with another company to continue pursuing Hub City. Blah. But I am uber excited about this Calzone position. It's advertised as an Internship so I'm really keeping fingers crossed that it is a paid internship or that because I already have my BFA they will consider taking me on as an employee. The owner checked out my portfolio and seemed very happy with it. Ah, I cant stop smiling. I really want this, badly.

I have a job interview at 2:30 with Pixus Digital. An actual Design type job, like, what I went to fucking school for. Hooray! I also got a call about a part-time paralegal job today. When it rains it pours .. in good ways too I suppose.

On a side note I've had a weird obsession with the song Umbrella by Rhianna for the past two days. I don't even like this kind of music but for some reason it's been stuck in my head. It's odd.

I also did some side work for Heather Miller for the Vermillion recently which will give me a bit of pocket change. I'd like to get a drink tonight at cafe' if anyone is interested.

I made pasta and seasoned it with my own motherfucking herbs. That I grew. I rule. Sweet Basil and Chives are infinitely better when you use em fresh and grew em from seeds. I feel like a plant god. :)

On a different note, today was WRETCHED. The basil has most def been the highlight of my stupid day.

I want a hug god-dammit. I'm cranky. blah.
