TUNE-IN ALERT: SINGER-SONGWRITER LISA LOEB TO APPEAR LIVE ON SIRIUS’ DOCTOR RADIO
Lisa to appear live in studio with Dr. Kim DeOre * Tuesday, July 22 @ 9:00 am ET * Doctor Radio SIRIUS channel 114
GRAMMY® -nominated singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb makes her first appearance on SIRIUS' Doctor Radio channel on July 22 @ 9:00 am ET.
Loeb will appear on Dr. Kim DeOre's show to discuss her passions and inspirations, what performers do to keep their voice in shape, and what she eats to stay healthy at home and on the road. She'll also tell us how she maintains her rockin' body, and we'll find out what Lisa's been allergic to since she was a kid. Loeb and Dr. DeOre will take calls from listeners around the country.
Doctor Radio is a national radio channel broadcasting from New York's NYU Langone Medical Center. Doctor Radio features daily shows and reports hosted by NYU physicians on topics such as heart and sexual health, plastic surgery, psychiatry, weight loss, pregnancy, pediatrics and much more. Dr. Kimberly DeOre is an internist at the Murray Hill Medical Group and is on the faculty at the NYU School of Medicine. Every week on Doctor Radio she discusses a variety of general health issues affecting men and women of all ages. The Dr. Kim DeOre Show airs Tuesdays from 8:00 – 10:00 am ET
Loeb will also discuss her latest project: her second collection of children's tunes called Camp Lisa (June 2008). With the release of this album Loeb launched the Camp Lisa Foundation, a non-profit organization that will raise funds to help send underprivileged kids to summer camp through its partnership with S.C.O.P.E. (Summer Camp Opportunities Provide an Edge, Inc.).
Loeb went to both day camp and sleep-away camp, and learned to play guitar there.
A prolific musician, Lisa Loeb first caught the public's eye in 1994 when her song "Stay (I Missed You)" was featured on the Reality Bites soundtrack and hit No. 1 on the national charts—an unprecedented accomplishment for a then unsigned artist. Almost 15 years later, her career encompasses television and music—with albums including Tails, the Grammy-nominated Firecracker, The Way It Really Is, and the award-winning children's CD Catch the Moon.
You can catch Lisa Loeb on Doctor Radio Tuesday July 22nd @ 9:00 am ET.

Loeb's set will include fan favorites, plus songs from both of her children's CDs, as well as audience requests. The show will open with selected readings from the book Camp Camp: Where Fantasy Island Meets Lord of The Flies, the follow up to Jules Shell and Roger Bennett's cult classic, Bar Mitzvah Disco. Jacobs, Rachel Sklar, Paul Feig, David Wain, and Sloane Crosley.
New York-Area fans can submit short reminiscences of their own camp experiences to ( lisaloebmanagement@managethismedia.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). One lucky former camper will be chosen to join the Camp Camp contributors on stage and read his or her winning submission.
Loeb's new children's CD CAMP LISA is a collection of new tunes and old favorites largely inspired by '70s-style rock and pop and Loeb's own cherished camp memories. The disc features several special guests including Kay Hanley, Dave Gibbs, Nina Gordon, Jill Sobule, Lee Sklar, Maia Sharp and comedian Steve Martin and is currently available exclusively through Barnes & Noble.
In conjunction with the release of Camp Lisa, Loeb has launched her own non-profit, The Camp Lisa Foundation, that will help raise funds to send underprivileged kids to camp through its partnership with SCOPE. While she is in the New York area Loeb will visit The Fresh Air Fund and Trail Blazers Camps on July 17 where she'll get to meet, perform for and spend time with the campers at these two very special facilities.
